Expect to see her a *lot* in the next couple of years.

I never felt the need to build an EDH (commander) deck until I saw this card. It's a BEATSTICK that has to be be killed by boardsweeping abilities.
Jesus, this thing is going to be absolutely amazing. In my opinion the best of the legendary angels from AVR just because it has a low enough cost and can hardly be removed.

Well, she's the toughest fighter... My favorite of Avacyn's three angels by a long shot. Looks set to be an efficient beater in regular decks and as a Commander (Voltron, most likely). Her additional ability neuters a lot of strategies (Grave Pact, Annihilator, Edicts, etc.) but I'm sure there's some combo being dreamt up that involves it.
Never mind green being the fastest mana producing color, 5cc for a 5/5 hex proof flyer is nothing short of evil, especially you cannot make opponent sacrifice it. Being green there are so many ways to put her into play, and mess up a lot of your opponent's strategies.

She builds her own casual deck, in my opinion: Shield of the Oversoul, Qasali Pridemage, Elvish Hexhunter, Knight of New Alara, Gaddock Teeg and Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers - efficient creature combined with enough control that they aren't going anywhere. At all.
One of my favourite cards in AVR, too. Lots of flavour, and useable outside of EDH.

As she is, she is ridiculously good. She can't be Doom Bladeed or Diabolic Edicted, and she's a 5/5 for 5 as well. At least she can still be Wrath of Goded and blocked. Not that White and Green aren't good at making her indestructible (e.g., Shield of the Oversoul) and unblockable (e.g., Spirit Mantle) though. She will be scary when she hits kitchen tables - and maybe Standard ones as well.
Once Black Sun's Zenith rotates out, this is going to be incredibly hard to remove. Probably the best legendary angel in the set, it's going to see A LOT of play.

5 mana, for a 5/5 flyer is decent enough, especially when one of those colors is . Then you add the sac ability, and hexproof to it and this is one incredible legendary creature! I pulled this in my pre-release packs and based my deck around it. I never got to use it, but since my opponent was playing black the first round, would've been game changing had I been able to.

Too powerful, I don't like it. Her abilities narrow the range of stuff that can kill her so much that she'll be format warping on her own. It'll certainly keep Phyrexian Metamorph and Phantasmal Image's prices pretty high and it will probably bring Day of Judgement back into style quick smart.
At least with Thrun (also not a fun card) you could fly over him or outsize him with a defender. Sigardia is going to remain relevant for the whole game, either hitting you or blocking.
"Ruling: 1/1/2011 'If the targeted artifact's controller can't sacrifice it (due to Tajuru Preserver, perhaps), the other effects of the spell will still happen.'"
Unless the situation you're describing is one of your opponent is playing Shape Anew on one of your creatures, I don't see how this is relevant. For Sigarda's ability to do anything, the spell has to be controlled by one of your opponents and also has to be making you sacrifice a creature. So I guess in the corner case where you have Sigarda and Blightsteel Colossus out and your opponent tries to Shape Anew it, yes, the Colossus stays in play and you get your polymorph effect.

Let's list the ways to get rid of her...
1) Block her or force her to block something with power 5+ (or deathtouch)
2) Day of Judgment (standard) Wrath of God (modern), basically feild clear.
3) Legends rule. So, Phantasmal image and phyrexian metamorph, or someone playing with her themselves.
5 mana for a 5/5 flying is insane as is. This card has one of the easiest times ever. Liliana Viel will cry at it, geths verdict and tribute to hunger no longer matter.
I ascociate this card on the same level as Thrun, the Last Troll. Putting her down guarantee’s significant field dominance for a good portion of the game. 5 mana is not hard to get, and in the colors of low mana winee spam? She is going to be a standard staple, decks built in WG just to use her.
Post thought edit: My last statement says that WG decks will use her. The truth of the matter is likely more that white decks will use her, no matter what other color they are paired with, and will add a few sunpetal groves or cavern of souls calling angel, to get her out in those decks. She has such a small green color weight it wont be unlikely to see her in play. However, most legends of her mana cost i predict her in 1's or 2's. The legends rule often causes multiples to lose effectiveness, becoming cards in your hand that could have been something else.
if baneslayer angel was legendary, her popularity would go down drastically. At least, unlike the other two angels, her passive ability is relevant (although technically the others have triggered abilities, but still)
Put some totems on her as Bear umbra and/or mammoth umbra and she can also survive mass wipe

I really hate this card. Guaranteed to be format-warping in the coming months. The amount of hexproof in Standard is already obnoxious (Dungrove Elder, Geist of Saint Traft, Thrun...), but to create a creature like Sigarda feels like a big slap in the face. With BSZ (and maybe Image and DoJ as well) rotating out, (reasonable) options for removing Sigarda are very few. With all the support she has in both green and white, expect her to show up in many decklists.

Gob-smackingly powerful beatstick: Hyperefficient cost-to-size ratio, a body that's both evasive and untargetable by opponents, and a blanket immunity to edict effects not just for herself but for her whole board. I won't presume to know whether she'll turn out to be broken or just very, very strong, but Buttercup here pushes all sorts of boundaries. I suppose it's fitting, seeing as Sigarda was intended to be the Spiky member of the AR multicoloured angel trio (with Gisela for Timmy and Bruna for Johnny.)

@StoicChampion It took some time to figure out how to dismantle your combination, but Phantasmal Image can do it. If I can't cast blue spells, then I will use black to get it into my graveyard and reanimate it. You can save yourself with ghostway, but I can deplete you of those by casting/reanimating a clone each turn. You need a painter's servant too...and while you're at it, why not add a douse? I think Magus of the Tabernacle gets around this too.

Back to the drawing board. Assuming you only have one Iona out (e.g., no Mirror Gallery), we'll say that whatever color you've blocked, we have a card of a different color to play. In that case, some cards to deal with your situation include:
Martyr's Cry - This removes all of your creatures and enables us to play cards with costs greater than four the next turn, such as Anarchy to wipe out the enchantments (assuming you've blocked red with Iona and we're playing a Red/White deck against you).
Arena of the Ancients + Angel's Trumpet - This would slowly kill you, but since you're running white, I'd probably assume you have some artifact removal. Nonetheless, it is two cards that lock down your board and are playable with Teeg out.
Everlasting Torment - Slowly kills your force if we swarm you with little creatures. Unfortunately, your creatures, being indestructible, would still survive if you had Melira out to counter the wither effect.
Glaring Spotlight - Allows us to spot removal all of your creatures one by one.
Why the low ratings is beyong my comprehension. You are supposed to give the rating on how good you think the card is . Don't give a bad rating because you get owned by it.

This card is so ridiculous.
I run her as my Commander and nobody wants to play against that deck anymore. Of course there are solutions to her; it would be pretty stupid if Wizards made a card with no answers. However, those answers are frustratingly rare. She dies essentially to board wipes, legend rule, and blockers. By my understanding the legend rule is changing, so that really leaves board wipes and blockers.
Which is why her Commander deck is stuff with regenerate, totem armor, and other means of saving Sigarda. Once she sticks she just needs some power-ups to end games quickly.

A great follow-up move to an already enchanted, lesser creature. There's no fear of targeted removal. She has a large enough body to dominate in aerial combat for quite a while even without buffs, assuming you get her out around turn five. She's an excellent backup creature to enchant should anything happen to your already-existing one, which she helps keep alive with her 3rd ability. Slap something like Boar Umbra or Indestructibility on her and even fieldwipe can't stop her.
One of 's best answers to aggressive removal. I absolutely love her.

@J_mindfingerpainter: So if you get those exact eight cards out at the same time and nobody removes any of them, you can win the game? Well done, that can be done with about a thousand other cards. Getting all those cards out at the same time is like winning the lottery even with tutors. Plus that costs like 30 mana and you can't guarantee getting all 4 Cloudposts out. Even if you could get them out, a fast deck would have killed you five times over by the time you do. It's hilarious that you think that actually works and it shows that you clearly you don't understand magic at all.

This was probably designed to combat Eldrazi in EDH, but it hoses a hell of a lot of other cards as collateral damage. Sacrifice effects always felt fair; they dodged protection, hexproof and indestructible but were always balanced by the fact that the opponent could choose their worst creature (except in the case of Grave Pact, which is broken because it makes you sacrifice all the creatures).
Tajuru Preserver was a fair way to nerf sacrifices; it hosed them completely, but was itself vulnerable to many other forms of removal. Leyline of Sanctity makes Diabolic Edict a dead card for the entire game, but it's balanced by being useless against many other decks.
Disregarding the feasibility of realizing the entire combo and the overall efficiency when piloting, creating a deck with all these cards combined results in a deck that can't lose.
*Update* @kiseki Thanks to the M14 Legend Rule Change, you might want to reconsider the counter. I'll consider the other cards you mentioned.
1. She's in my 2 favorite colors to play with. 2. She's an Angel. 3. She has an evasion ability (Flying) and she can defend for herself (Hexproof). 4. No longer have to sacrifice permanents by opponents, SOLD!!! 5. She has my favorite flavor text
I know sacrifice effects are a solution to a lot of hated mechanics and I used them too but not consistently. After playing so many games over and over again to where it's no fun when all you do is sacrifice every single last thing without playing the game, I'm glad she was made.
I glad they changed the legend rule so everyone can play with their favorite Commanders without clones being used to kill them. At the time I don't like it since now the only way to get rid of Sigarda is wasting a player's board wipe.

At least, unlike the other two angels, her passive ability is relevant (although technically the others have triggered abilities, but still)
And the top comment about Armadillo Cloak got to be top comment because Armadillo Cloak is good.
Balance? NO.
Global Ruin? NO.
Razia's Purification? NO.
Cataclysm? NO.
Just say no.
Bruna = Bubbles
Gisela = Blossom
Mikaes = Mayor
Avacyn = Mayors wife lady
Sorin = the professor
Grislebrand = Mojojojo
:P
It took some time to figure out how to dismantle your combination, but Phantasmal Image can do it.
@igniteice
Note that not all of those work, because there is a rule of law in play, but a couple of those are super.
buttercup, she's the toughest fighter.
coz she's immune to targeted removal, sac effects and flies with a 5/5 body fo just 5 mana.
her mana cost is easy to achieved (well if you know how to build a good manabase)
it has green, it's allied colors it's easy to accomplished.
and green sun's zenith, Natural order, dramatic entrance,etc
Seriously, they are going to want to punt this card across the room once it drops.
Flying? Well, now it's good...
Can't sacrifice stuff due to opponents' stuff? Wow. That's great!
Hexproof? brb making a Selesnya deck
Sorry guize.
Yeah, that is probably a game you are going to win.
Oh and Maelstrom Archangel and Kaalia of the Vast in the same deck make your idea completely feasible StoicChampion. Your general should probably be Scion of the Ur-Dragon, running all 5 Invasion Dragons, all 5 Kamigawa Dragons, and all 5 Planar Chaos Dragons, plus the Powerpuff Girls Angels.
In fact, Maelstrom Archangel should be the only non-Legendary creature in your deck. :)
EDIT: don't care if banned or not. must have Kokusho for the sake of Mega Cycle completeness! when you take him out they are just going to notice you are also running the Power Puffs with Kaalia and then they will still stop playing with you- might as well pull as much B.S. in Game 1 as possible before getting banned for life from your playgroup ;D
EDIT EDIT: Yay! Kokusho unbanned! :D
EDIT EDIT EDIT: Sigarda Dies to Elk (Axebane Stag). Titans also Die To Elk. And Hybrid Demigods, they also Die to Elk. And most of the Return to Ravnica Block Guildleaders. Seriously. That's one huge @$$ f##^n Elk :P
That's just adorable...
Sigarda__
Another Legend with commander obviously in mind.
Bane of the Living - Kills your creatures and gets around Gaddock Teeg. You could prevent this with a Melira, Sylvok Outcast out though.
Kederekt Leviathan - Lol...
5 mana 5/5 hexproof flier that bones Killing Wave and annihilator, along with similar nasty black mana cards.
Of course I'm biased because I pulled two at prerelease.
She deathly afraid of spiders, though.
One of
5/5
I wonder why the price is so low honestly, 7 dollars for such a sturdy creature.
just be careful, this gal will NOT save you from sacrifice effects from YOUR cards.
Kaalia + Avacyn = Lois and Superman
Sigarda + Avacyn = Batman and Superman (a.k.a. you're screwed)
Avacyn protects everything, but what happens when they drop something like Eldrazi Con***ion or Pathrazer of Ulamog? You'll need something to keep you from losing ground fast. Sigarda's got you covered. It's just unfortunate she's a G/W. I'd like to run her in my W/B/R deck. Even still, she's probably amazing in a Bant deck.
Also, turning the {G}{W} Modern hexproof/aura deck into an EDH deck with as the Commander seems like a fun idea.
5/5 from me
My darling dear, love you all the time
Tajuru Preserver was a fair way to nerf sacrifices; it hosed them completely, but was itself vulnerable to many other forms of removal. Leyline of Sanctity makes Diabolic Edict a dead card for the entire game, but it's balanced by being useless against many other decks.
But this... not only hoses sacrifices, it dodges everything but board wipes, can be played alongside another angel that fills in the gaps in its armor, and is still 5 for a 5/5 flier?
I hate losing to Avacyn, but I think she's fair at 8 mana. I really don't like Sigarda though.
Disregarding the feasibility of realizing the entire combo and the overall efficiency when piloting, creating a deck with all these cards combined results in a deck that can't lose.
*Update*
@kiseki Thanks to the M14 Legend Rule Change, you might want to reconsider the counter. I'll consider the other cards you mentioned.
I'd also add that my combo needs the addition of Melira, Sylvok Outcast.
Cheers!
