Balanced and well costed. Angel tribal will smile on this.

Birthing Pod didn't have enough hate, so lets make one more.
Should make it into standard after it rotates. ATM seems like a sideboard card.

A fair card, can mess some strategies up. Will be amusing in Commander with all the sacrifice effects running riot.

Literally shuts down multiple deck types with her presence alone, and it buffs other creatures you control as well (Given the 1WWW cost I'd think it's going to be white creatures in most cases).
EDH platinum, given how many people use pay-life spells in their decks due to the initiate 40 lives.
I'll like it in Commander. Sure, the p/t sucks, but is at least somewhat evened out by it buffing your other creatures. And the casting cost is a bit annoying outside mono white. Still, it's a fine card, shutting down a good amount of combos. It's also fun with all cards that allow an opponent to sacrifice something. Like excavation, or argothian wurm, prowling pangolin and so on.

On October 2nd this card will go up in price, I see this as Wizard's pseudo replacement for Hero of Bladehold. Although it does not produce tokens this is a white four drop that has instant effect on the game. I will be hard after 4 foil spanish of these.

This is going to destroy Griselbrand. It also ruins my friends Recurring Nightmare deck. And his standard sacrifice human tokens deck. Wow. I need a few.
Oh, great, a white lord. My favorite color is black, but red is fun too; it's a moot point, though, because she only beefs up whaitaminute...!
Same about the colors in her mana cost, though.

If you're wondering about how to fit this into Kaalia of the Vast, no worries:
Play with Linvala, Iona, Angelic Arbiter, and all the other 'New Rule: Screw You' Angels, all for 0 mana. Yeah it's a shame about Griselbrand but isn't playing this next to Gisela and Avacyn gonna be worth it? :D

white commander especially mono white loves this. Stops a lot of strategies and makes your guys a little bigger. it's a fun card & stops a ton of strategies.
Keep in mind that this card doesn't prevent Barter in Blood.

Forgive this tirade (I'm a black mage)
I absolutely HATE this ***. Not only is she racist (like Sunlance), but she also tries to tell me what I can and can't do with my life!!! Now the Knight of New Alara he's a stand-up guy, this one could stand to be a little more tolerant as this is proof that the 2nd most evil color in the game is white.

As a pretty broad-based lord, I could see building it into some Main Decks.
I'm afraid not. I thought the same thing about this card, so I was looking for ways to break it. But if you reread what it says, it stats activated abilities and to cast spells. Meaning that the triggered effect from Norn's Annex goes untouched. Effects from other spells like Temporal Extortion are also untouched by this card.
This slow cards like Dismember and stops cards like Altar's Reap from being cast. And completely hoses Birthing Pod. I also think it stops Snuff Out, but I'm not 100% on that one just because how different the wording is on that in comparison to Alter's Reap.

I pulled 3 of these between a random booster and a fat pack.. Wasn't thrilled Lol.. That is until I built a deck which included her and realized just how big a part of the game sacrificing and life paying is now, whoa. Plus, her "lord" ability is SO versatile, where many require a specific color or creature type, she only requires it not be black, granted the 3 plains symbols in her casting cost is the catch but even with that she still has proven versatile (hello? White/Artifact is making some noise these days people!! ;) and to realistically be able to have all of the above on a 3/3 body w/evasion by T4 maybe even T3 is just.. Fantastic. At best She shuts down deck types and plays solid offense and defense at the same time and with 2 out, she goes NUTS!! At worst, she's anti-toxin against removal with a small but efficient pump to your guys that's at LEAST worthy side board material. My advice, keep an eye on this one here, she's SO much better than many might think, myself originally being one of em!

This is a flying 3/3 for four in a relevant tribe, it's an anthem effect, and it hoses phyrexian mana spells (Dismember, Birthing Pod and Phyrexian Metamorph, anyone?) as well as the occasional Falkenrath Aristocrat. Why on earth is it rated less than 4? Sure, it requires a heavy commitment to White, but it's an absolute powerhouse, especially in a format with token production like Lingering Souls and Hero of Bladehold and powerful anthem effects like Cathars' Crusade, Honor of the Pure and Intangible Virtue out the wazoo! Even if swarmy mono-white decks don't see play in this metagame or those coming, Angel of Jubilation will still rune casual Angel, Token and White Weenie decks. I'm giving it a 4.5 / 5 for relevant abilities on an excellently-costed body.

I think this should see a lot of play in standard humans or tokens decks. Those decks tend to be mostly white, so the mana cost is not a problem, and since they have a lot of creatures, Anthem effects are highly valued. So even without its last ability it would be a good card, but the ability is a very big one currently primarily because pod is popular, but also becuase of phyrexian mana and things like that. This is one of Avacyn Restored's best cards and its ridiculous that is is rated under 4.

She makes for an interesting combo with Norn's Annex. Especially if they aren't playing white or only splashed it.

Just curious how this would affect shocklands. Is paying the life for shocklands considered as activating an ability? Not that by turn 4 people wouldn't just let them come into play tapped anyways. I wouldn't think so, but it's just something to wonder about as return to ravnica approaches.

to everyone wanting to know if this works with Norn's Annex or similar cards/abilities, the answer is no. those do not grant activated abilities to creatures, so they are have no interaction with this card.
also, @Yozuk, you can still cast a card like Snuff Out, but you must pay the mana cost and are unable to pay the alternate cost.

That last ability really locks down a ton of decks. Pretty much any black deck or any deck that splashes the Phyrexian symbol cards is going to make this thing number one on their kill list.
Also yes, the artwork is gorgeous and should hang on my wall.

I love this guy and really want to see her hit home post rotation. C'mon, she's basically a sixth liege.
This card is pretty amaizing, I mean, 3/3 flyer for 4, with the 1+1 boost to your creatures, makes it pretty suitable for Human/Soldier decks, which controll quite an army of weak creatures, which is very nice for this card to boost up.
The 2nd passive effect also is a pretty straightforvard couneter to many kinda of black decks. Phyrexian stuff comes to mind ;)
I love this card and I agree with nunzioni saying :'This is one of Avacyn Restored's best cards and its ridiculous that is is rated under 4.'

So why... why... WHY is this not called "Jubilation Angel"!? IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE DAMMIT.
A little slower than aggro and not big enough to be a bomb, sadly in limbo for deck construction and is not seeing play =(

This will sound really stupid, but this actually goes well with a sacrifice deck. Wait! Lemme explain. If you're using a deck with tons of sacrifice stuff, and have cards with "whenever another (nontoken) creature dies", it should be annoying. Your opponent will hate it.
If you're doing well, then put this down.
If you're smart, you're sac-ing weenies, mostly 1/1 Spirits, Humans, whatever. This doubles their power- threatening if you have a lot of them. Now that you can't sac, you can go aggro! They'll find it annoying, and will try to kill your Lord. But, that would let you get back to your sacrificing shenanagins.
Now we just need an aggressively costed angel that hates on discarding and deck mill.

@Averyck Norn's annex is a triggered ability; so there is no effect on that.
This definitely screams "kill me now" to a lot of decks; and some have no good answers to it (pod) because they rely on tool-box style decks.

Hates on a number of combos while advancing a white aggro deck's clock. The vulnerability to Lightning Bolt and shutting down your own fetch lands probably relegates this card to the sideboard though.

This is one of my favorite angels ever! One she can screw a black deck up beyond repair and she bumps up tiny 1/1 tokens. I have her in a mono white soldier token deck. Wish this art had been the Baneslayer's artwork. Maybe then I would have loved that card to.
