I was not aware the boros guild had nuclear weaponry.

Come on. If any guild would have access to nuclear arms, it would be the Boros. Well, either them or the Izzet. But the Izzet would probably just sell them to the Boros anyway.

This is an awesome card, I love the fact that it's a white AND red board wiper. Never have seen that before. And if you have any kind of creature advantage whatsoever over your opponent when you play this, you pretty much got it in the bag. 4.5/5
Decimates in period. Unless you have protection from red or white, your screwed.

It doesn't target, it doesn't do damage, and it doesn't destroy.
Protection, shroud, indestructibility, regeneration are irrelevant.

@vsasntore: Protection from White nor Protection from Red would stop this card. Protection only stops damage, enchanting/equipping, blocking and targeting. This card does none of these. The permanents are chosen (bypassing targeting) and then sacrificed (bypassing damage and indestructibility). However, Tajuru Preserver would allow you to completely bypass this spell's effects because it interacts specifically with sacrifice.

Yep, as they said no manner of protection can stop her purification; not even Leyline of Sanctity. Tarjuru Preserver is the only thing and he probably wouldn't be mainboarded for R/W. Even when he's present there's still the two best colors of removal against him.
Is it just me or would Operation Razia's Purification be an epic codename for a Boros nuke assault?

I love running this with bounce lands. Your lands are worth double your opponent's and they probably saved you another land by putting it back into your hand. You could conceivably cast a seven drop the turn after this while your opponents are stuck below four mana. Elvish Aberration is also good with this for pretty much the dame reason.

There is only one card that I know of in magic that can prevent you from being forced to sac stuff. That card is in Rise of the Eldrazi. There needs to be more sac prevention cards imo.

No protection or anything would stop this. You need to counter the spell if you don't want it. Even player protection enchantments like Leyline of Sanctity won't work, because you (the player) are not being targeted, nor are any creatures.
And that's exactly where this card's strengths lie, against decks that hide behind stuff like that.

Was playing an EDH game the other night. A guy cast this, which put us all down at 2-3 lands apiece. That sucked, but it wasn't as bad as the next player's turn when he managed to cheat a Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger into play. Double mana for him, and we couldn't even profitably tap the couple of mana we did have...brutal.
Love the card in principle, though. And that art is just amazing.

@DacenOctavio run an all color deck and tap the 2 black 3 red 2 green for violent ultimatum then tape the red and white for this card and the 4 colorless, with that floating in your mana pool play this card first and after it hits the stack play violent ultimatum on top of it. Bam. Complete annihilation.

my friend runs this in a kaalia of the vast edh deck to great advantage. who needs lands when you can cheat the fattest angels/demons/dragons in to play each turn for free?
A neat card when you get better creatures out early, which isn't hard to do in these colors. Essentially saying, "We're staying at early game pace" which is where shines.
If you don't want to read my thoughts on others' comments than don't continue reading.

Tajuru Preserver had been out for more than a year and a half at the time of post.

You can't have both on the stack at the same time as they're both sorcery speed. And if you could you'd want this on top of the stack (meaning you'd play it 2nd) so that it would resolve first. The way you suggested just wastes Violent Ultimatum. You're right however that they could float the and play both in a single main phase. But, come on, really?

In a Numot, the Devastator EDH deck: T1- Plains, Sol Ring T2- Island, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV T3- Mountain, cast Numot T4- Razia's Purification, choose your Mountain, Sol Ring, and general. Attack and destroy some lands. T5 and on- Systematically destroy everyone's mana base over and over again preventing them from playing anything. Post-Game- Get beat to death in parking lot by your opponents.
