Ehh it's pretty small for a 6/7. I mean come on those trees are twice its size. As are the surrounding structures.

I'm no wildlife expert, but I'm pretty sure an Elk can't take on three bears and walk away with the blood of each on its hooves. Especially bears that punch down trees.

Don't even pay attention to the fact that it's a vanilla creature. All you need to know is that this ELK can smash a TITAN in the face.
This is one beefed up elk that can take on most of the creatures in the set. Pros like me will be making good use of this creature's size.

Another card for my elk tribaldeck. -.- Well, it's a vanilla common creature. Guess you can't expect much more.

I've done some research on the subject of elk versus bear duels and there seems to be a consensus that bears have more raw power, but elks have a tad bit more stamina. Meaning that if your standard bear is a 2/2, your elk ought to be a 2/3 (but perhaps with Defender as they won't generally initiate the fight). Nothing I've read, however, has led me to believe that an elk could ever be a 6/7. Except for in Ravnica, of course.

...Why?
No, really, why? Wizards, why does this exist? Why is there a vanilla 6/7 for 7 ELK in GREEN!?

Vorstclaw is better, but a 6/7 vanilla beater is acceptable in limited. And it steps on titans too. That's got to count for something.

Never thought we'd get something strictly worse than Enormous Baloth...
I guess it is supposed to be the "Craw Wurm" for the set, but it is still rather bad. Flat out worse than Enormous Baloth, which isn't exactly a high-water mark in card power or design. Clunky, overpriced, insane in flavor (elks that can kill dragons?!) - yeah, not worth it.

In addition to the creatures that have already been listed that Dies To Elk Titans Isperia, the Supreme Judge Rakdos, Lord of Riots
add the following: Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord Selesnya, the Supreme Judge Niv Mizzet, Dracogenius (even after a coulple activations!)
HANG. ON. Let's review here, ok?
Lorwyn/Shadowmoor Block: Correct me if I'm wrong but I think all the 'Demigods' were 5/5, right? They'd have been Mythic if such had exited. This beats most of them, too.
Alara Block: Alright, so there were a good number of creatures that had 7 or more power. Most of those were Gold Legendary Creatures, Rare or Mythic. This is a Mono Green Common Elk.
Zendikar Block: FINE, Eldrazi don't even care about how tiny this thing is. NON-ELDRAZI creatures, how many does this kill? Doesn't it beat Wrexial? AL-MOST! and too close for comfort! Lorthos still has his dignity at least :P
Scars of Mirrodin Block: Practically nothing except a few Phyrexian Mythics can actually laugh this guy off. Taking off the table equipping a Sword of Bull and Shit to anything anyways.
Innistrad Block: Again, I'm seeing this Vanilla Common dude trashes most non-Divine/Demonic beings on the plane.
I'm just saying, this clearly isn't a common. This is definitely Uncommon-level beef. It trades with too many Rares, Mythics, and all of the Legendaries in its own set to ACTUALLY be a common.
Guildpact II: All the Guild agree to go on a Great Hunt to destroy all these Stags, which are clearly the biggest to threat to each Guild Leader's powerbase.
I GET that Limited needs some things and that every card deserves to be good for something. That's DIFFERENT from saying "This should be Uncommon, not Common". It simply doesn't make sense for Commons to be able to outclass or nearly par with Mythics this much percent of the time. You can have whatever Powers, Toughnesses, and Mana Costs you want to make a huge variety of creatures, but put them each in their proper rarity. If this were simply Uncommon, then Vorthos wouldn't be crying out so badly

See, this is Wizards secretly calling Innistrad fans out as pansy Twilight lovers. They make all these vampires and werewolves out to be terrifying and powerful creatures which humanity fears, and everyone's hiding in churches as a result.
Meanwhile, in Ravnica, people go about their daily business perfectly happily amongst giant titanic Elks that can easily stomp every vampire and werewolf in Innistrad to death. Pff.

Wizards. You could have taken this epic art, name, and flavor and made it an awesome mythic rare creature. Instead you waste it on a trashy 7 CMC vanilla creature. Shame.

If you recall from the original Ravnica, you'll remember that there's literally no animal life left on the plane. Everything that isn't someone's pet, entertainment, or lunch, has to be a gigantic monstrosity to have survived the slow overpopulation of the planet, like the wurms, the dragons, or hopefully the Lamasu. the hunted cycle of the original Ravnica showcases this nature-dying-out theme well. For an Elk, of all things, to be alive in Ravnica today it had better be some kind of monstrosity to survive.
Also, I do believe it's on the opposite side of the bridge in Azorius Arrestor. Or it might just be Ravnican style guide, who knows.
