So against non-basic lands this just...destroys them all? Harsh.

Its true that Prismatic Omen would help, but you can still only save five lands, even if you are lucky enough to have a land of each basic type.

First off a little strange that this card is white. Good in a multi-color land destruction deck, very good against mono colored deck. Not very good against Aggro multi-color decks.

this thing is so good and so painful.
I play one in a 5 color agro deck but I suppose it would be good in any 5 color deck.

my favorite memory is against a mono green deck.
we spent the first few turns ramping and fixing mana so when turn 4 got passed to me y 1 of each basic land was staring at 14 forests. then I top-decked this. It was beautiful.

Makes for a fun casual domain deck with Collective Restraint. Well, fun for you anyways, everyone else will hate you XD.

One of those few cards that screws over your opponents just enough to prevent them from flipping the table.

Good with plenty of duals - but needs a bit of building around...

@allmighty_abacus: Well, the Boros do. ;)

Though this is something of a tactical nuke, whereas the linked card is more of a hydrogen bomb...

EDIT: Sigarda, Host of Herons says NO.

And no means no.

I run 3 of these in my 5-colour deck, and it works wonders! Yes, back then it was ok, since most played multicolour, but today it is even better as people either play monocolour, or rely on nonbasic lands. This has gone from being a simple bomb and a setback, to a nuke that tends to instantly win me the game, as I am left with my mana-base pretty much intact and then move onto assaulting them with big biggies.

Also, as mentioned, once you combine it with collective restraint things get even worse for you opponent, while the lowered cost of multicolour cards allow you to play almost anything for 5-6 mana. My opponents HATE this card, and they know that if I get one off, the game is pretty much over.

Another tip; This combined with Fertile ground or Groundskeeper allows you to pretty much ignore the effect, and potentially come out of a global ruin with 9 mana!

Easily one of the best land destruction cards ever created, especially if you can accelerate to get it off early, since most players will start with 2-3 lands in their hand, and then after that have to rely on one card each turn in order to rebuild their mana base.

This thing kills in EDH. Most people run multicolored commanders, and if you can manage a mono white deck then you can murder your opponents with this.

Teach the young 'uns why mono-coloured isn't always the best idea. Get ready for some hate unless this is the follow-up to a creature wipe. Hosing non-basics is always funny. 5/5

@bertuccia32

Are you sure you're interpreting this card correctly? Seems to me you're implying that mono-white would actually benefit from this.
