This card is one of the poster children of Type 4. Good times, good times.

Also, great joke, and flavorful effect for the joke.

Technically nothing would happen since all prevention effects would apply, and since the negatives are superior.

Anyone know if this can re-target a card that normally only effects the caster such as Form of the Squirrel? Just to mess with your opponent... And since this is an "Un" card, you may as well make a deck with the same mentality as the whole set was made; Mana Screw, Mox Lotus and Johnny Combo Player with whatever win condition you want for a turn one win but not guaranteed because of how Mana Screw works, these sets are intended to be fun and funny, why not make a deck in that spirit?

Wood Elemental: Storm Crow, what does the scouter say about his power level?
Storm Crow: IT'S OVER 9000 CHIMNEY IMPS!!!!
Pygmy Hippo: I've got a higher power level.

Gleemax knows how many licks it takes to get to the center of the tootsie pop.

Combos with Hive Mind, Ink-Treader Nephilim, Precursor Golem, And Radiate.
Also works really well against/with anything with target, which found 4450 results for me.

One Gleemax = 66000 Emrakul's, 666 B.F.M.'s, and 5 Storm Crows.

1. Disregard flavor text
2. Acquire large sums of mana
3. ???
4. Profit!

Other Combos, Accelerated Mutation, Baneful Omen, Disaster Radius, Explosive Revelation, etc.

If anyone is bored, see how much mana it costs to kill a Gleemax with one Corrosion

why does evryone compare un to non un cards. use the spatula of the ages if you wana pop 'em not tinker or master transmuter. sure it is less afective but this is unplay, you don't get to bring non un cards to an un turny

Though i must say, i have gotten over 1,000,000 in my omnath elf deck before, without going infinate. I was gold fishing and wanted to see how much i could do before i decked myself. I lost the paper that had the actuall amount, but it was somewere in the multi billions, and thats forgeting that i had 2 mana reflections for over 6 turns of my couculations.

I'm afraid Spatula of the Ages wouldn't work - Gleemax is an Unhinged card, not an Unglued card. And the Spatula specifically refers to the Unglued set.

@Psuedonaut: In a multiplayer game, it would take infinite mana to kill Gleemax with a Corrosion - it says target opponent, so your corrosion would just be retargeted forever :-)

I really appreciate the fact that there is a 1000000 icon in the Gatherer markup exclusively for this card. Thanks to Mox Lotus, there's also a 100 icon, and presumably one for infinity mana as well, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

As for the card, it's a perfect example of Unhinged hilarity. I can only imagine the insanity that would arise from playing a game when one hit the field.

Lets see... is there ANY way you can get this without using Lotus Amulet?! xD

If Mana Flare can do colorless mana, that's 4/land

x4 Glimmer Post (20)
x4 Cloud Post (52)
x4 Vestage (Cloud Post) (52)

Dx I can only get 124 mana per turn, anyone else think they can try to do something to get 1000000 mana without Mox Lotus?

Overcosted. Storm Crow is functionally identical and costs 999998 less (although the color requirements are a bit difficult, I run 4 in my Chimney Imp EDH deck -- cuz black will do anything to win!) I still use this in my Relentless Rats EDH deck though.
EDIT: Relentless Rats EDH is actually available as an EDH deck due to rule 112.6m! Also,

Okay ,guys , this card would be HILARIOUS with Mindscreeker and Training Grounds ! Put 4 in to a deck with both of those cards and you should eventually reveal one and get +1 million attack and defence points !!!! Thats kind of a win condition card , like Exodia the Forbidden One in Yugioh; you would never really actually PLAY any of the pieces of Exodia on the field ( well unless you were totally desperate ) but hold them in your hand . This would be a fun card to play in such a deck built around high mana cost cards and revealing /milling them . Also Cerebral eruption .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you had this and R&D's secret lair out, could you not control the targets of spells and abilities in other games?
You could start stealing spells from other games (it doesn't even need to be magic) or Doom Blade that solo the DnD table is fighting.

Nuisance Engine (or some other cheap artifact creature token generator, such as Myr Turbine) + Arcum Dagsson = Search your deck for this AND put it on the battlefield, for whatever the cost of the token you sacrificed!

You can also cheat it out by giving yourself infinite mana, there are a bunch of ways to do this. One favorite combo of mine is Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth. Once both of those artifacts are on the field, you will need 5 mana available to get things going. First, pay the cost to untap Basalt Monolith, then tap it for 3 mana. Activate the Rings of Brighthearth to copy that activated ability, producing another 3 mana. At this point, you can use the three mana generated from the rings to untap Basalt Monolith again, then tap it again for another 3 mana, and then pay the ring's activation cost to copy the ability again, producing 3 more mana. In this way, you will always have 1 extra mana generated that increases with each loop.

If an opponent is mean, they might make you go through this repetition manually to generate the one million mana needed to cast this, so be careful, lol.

Bludgeon Brawl plus Puresteel Paladin. Or some other way to pay the equip cost, like an infinite mana loop or a Mox Lotus.

You don't need to use Gleemax's ability to choose targets, you can just beat someone to death with it.
