Wow.. I need 5.... 4 for my infect deck, and 1 to frame and hang on my wall.

Black has a couple of great aggro infectors (Blight Stinger, Phyrexian Crusader), but didn't get anything to fill the gap in a black-aggro infect deck in New Phyrexia. This card unequivocally fills such a gap for green.
Turn 1 Glistener Elf Turn 2 Groundswell Groundswell Mutagenic Growth FTW

I just hope this doesn't end up being a huge mistake. Feels like Standard's going to turn into another 4 turn death race as soon as Zendikar rotates out.

This with Mutagenic Growth, wow! Mono-Green aggro-infect, it's going to painful, trust me.

@MasterOfEtherium: You better be trolling as usual:
Like Blighted Agent, a must own. I love awesome Commons. Still not enough to make me build an elf deck, but it will most certainly find a home in my Green Infect.
or turn 2: Mutagenic Growth + any combination of pump spells, that get you to 10 damage.

T1: Drop a Forest, cast Glistener Elf. T2: Drop a second Forest, declare Glistener Elf as an attacker, then use one Forest to cast Groundswell, the other to cast Giant Growth (or even another Groundswell), and pay 2 life for Mutagenic Growth.
Normally there'd be a game 2, but you opponent has just conceded from Magic: The Gathering for the next couple years.

If, as a one-drop, this read:
2/1 Wither "If an spell or ability gives Glistener Elf +X power, double that amount instead"
I think this is the first one-drop infect. Correct me when I'm wrong. Too bad my infect deck is black-artifact.

Turn 1: Exile 2 Elvish Spirit Guide . Cast this and Concordant Crossroads , giving your Glistener Elf haste. Play a forest, cast Invigorate then cast Berserk for a 10/5 Glistener Elf. Too bad you really can't do this in Standard.
So...I've just returned to the game from a fairly long hiatus (Which came last, Legends or Fallen Empires?) - so forgive me if, upon opening a booster onto this card that reminds me of something from Arabian Nights, it seems to me that the game has escalated a touch while I was away. Had people stopped using creatures for the last couple expansions - this card strikes me as very reactionary, as though it were designed to make folk start dropping critters to defend themselves.

@ Ladnarud:
Whoa, whoa, whoa... okay, breathe, breathe... it's going to be OK. It's been out for a little while and it's not even top tier.
I love this chick to death. So unbelievably evil looking to match how big of a threat she is. Also this is one of the few cards where I'd pick up the normal foil any day over the promo. The promo version makes her look too normal and actually somewhat attractive vs. this cold heart ***** who is coming to take your soul.

Thank you, Infect, for letting me win 4-0 at FNM on a 10 dollar budget. :)
I just recently made a new Popper Elf deck for casual play and this guy was my ace in the hole. I was play testing it and on my starting hand I pull Glistener Elf three Invigorate one Llanowar Elves one Aggressive Urge and 2 Forests.
First Turn: Drop Forest, play Glistener Elf Turn 2: Let my opponent gain nine life and play ALL my invigorates for free pumping Glistener elf for +12/ +12. Game.
Green is best color.

T1 Opponent: Forest, this, pass. T1 Me: Plains, pass. T2 Opponent: Rancor. Then as two giant growths are on the stack, I Gut Shot Glistener Elf. Good game.
The only 1 drop infect creature, and the bringer of turn 2 wins.

This is like a 1/1 double strike for one mana. Compare Fencing Ace, which is just decent. 1/1 double strike for one mana shouldn't really see print, nor should a 1/1 with double strike and unblockable for two mana (or Invisible Stalker, for that matter). Even if it doesn't break competitive (and it once did, leading to banning of Blazing Shoal in Modern), these can still ruin quite a few games.

Hey look, a 1/1 for one who has double strike when they aren't blocked.
And has wither when they are.
Good job on the whole "infect" thing, balance team.
