Excellent Burn card. You either deal damage to them or get your card back (something you very rarely get with cards that do things like this), and you get to know what their next draw is.

Its a very fun card to play, but I'm unsure about its actual practical use, still the potential is great, specially now that T2 will be missing Volcanic Fallout and Earthquake

In the right situation, this is a wrath to one player, something that could be very fun in red.

The last sentence of this card turns it from being on the level of Disaster Radius to being more on the level of Flame Wave.
Except for that whole bit about costing infinite mana.
Won me a game in the release tournament. Top-decked this, the reveal was a 5 CC creature and BOOM went his board. Very much what red needs. With anything that prevents damage prevention and you can kill pro-red critters as well.
I get why its so expensive (y'know, the whole deals damage to both the player and his or her creatures) but...Idk I feel like it could miss a lot of the time, by which I don't mean lands, I mean something with a wicked low CMC, and in such an instance it would barely hurt the player and his or her creatures, in the late game, would most likely be pretty unaffected. When it hits though, this card is pretty beastly. I think it should be an Instant, way more versatility what with attack stalling and all that jazz. At the end of the day, though, I'm far more comfortable with Lightning Bolt.

Getting your card back if it's a land is great for this card, definitely takes away a little bit of the nervousness players get when playing the more random-red spells. The randomness makes it not a perfect spell, but that's red's flavor. Risk doing nothing to hope for some massive damage.

we all hope that when we play this card the card on top is an expensive creature/spell. I'd hope that one day if i used this card, the card revealed would be Gleemax......oh if only....

If you think of it in the sense that as long as you pull a 3 cc creature or more, it's worth the mana because it costs earthquake 4 mana to do three damage. And actually it can be better because it deals damage to your opponents flyers also. Pretty good card if you ask me.
This is core red, anyone can aprreciate a lightning bolt, but the pure chaos of not knowing how much damaga you'll do, maybe just causing slight burns (pulse tracker) or a napalm bomb (malakir bloodwitch), sometimes causing the equivelant of a nuclear explosion (emrakul) or a big bang(gleemax), it's pure chaos, I love it. The beauty is, if your opponent is running low mana creatures, they will usually have low health too, meaning it stiller clear aggro boards. Unreliable, but often devastating.
This is how I use this card I tag it with chandra ablaze discard it with chandra's +1 ability to do consistent 4 damage and then cast it from the grave with the -7 to do random damage. If it's a land then I get it back in hand and here comes more 4 consistent damages. This way I don't really have to worry about no damage waisting my mana or running out of hand with chandra and have to use the - 2 ability to redraw.

It looks good, but in practice it usually works out as "2RR: target player will have a land next turn". Because you just know that whenever you cast it you'll get a land or a Memnite or something.

Extremely underrated card. It's a one-sided board wipe for 4 people. Sure it misses sometimes, but I've found more often than not it hits, since people tend to play similar CC mana spells in Standard these days. If you hit a land, you get it back. It's just too good.

This is such a good card, use against an Eldrazi deck, do loads of damage, use against a Kithin deck, do small amounts of damage, but enough to kill the lesser ones. Perfect for use just before an attack; has saved me before. Works extremely well in combination with Ancient Hellkite - use this card, then attack and prod the remaining defenders!

"Put target creature on top of it's owner's library"... Could combo well with memory lapse
I was at the recieving end of this last weekend, and boy, does it hurt (I revealed a Blightwidow). Especially because average CMC in draft is higher that in constructed.

My friend layers his own deck during play in most casual games ( we let him as he's not very good at M:TG) I can usually see what hes put on the top. So anyway he runs a green mana ramp deck with an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. I waited for him to put it on the top and played this card. The look on his face was priceless

One of my favorite red cards. I love how blue is tempted not to counter this, on the off chance there's a land or a cheap spell on top. In that sense it often makes both players gamble.
This is pretty nasty with Orcish Spy. It also works with Lantern of Insight, but personally I prefer the Spy since it lets you plan ahead a little more and your opponent won't get any benefits.
Great card, 4/5.

Never thought I'd see the word Cerebral on a mono-red card.

I'd have liked this far more if it would work like Erratic Explosion and other comparable effects, and just make you reveal cards until a nonland card is revealed rather than doing nothing and getting it back into the hand.
Noxious Revival to put the highest cost card they have on top of the deck, and burn the rest!

I could see this pairing nicely with time ebb effects and memory lapse. I ran this in a moto ur kiln fiend deck to minimal effect--only one in four hits would be of substance. But that was without building around it, which this card demands and will reward.
Also, generally outclassed by bonfire of the damned, for only 30x the price!
3.5/5 for ingenuity, gambling and reasonable playability.

Nope, that doesn't quite do it. How about:
"YOUR HEAD A SPLODE."

Yep, that just about captures it.
Great card, 4/5.
