Why is his flavor text different from the oracle flavor text?

Can he really fling himself and still deal damage?
With the new stack rules, if he flings an artifact, and someone disenchants him, the disenchant resolves first, and then Bosh tries to deal the fling damage, but can't as he doesn't exist anymore.
I only ask because his card reads "Bosh deals damage equal to...".

@psyklone: He deals damage even if he isn't on the battlefield when the ability resolves. You need to counter his ability (Stifle) or exile it (Time Stop) to stop it. The card says "Bosh deals damage..." because he does, even if he has left play. The damage still comes from an artifact creature with all the characteristics Bosh had when he was last seen (last known information). Sometimes it matters.

I throw my Darksteel Colossus at you. I win.
This is actually strange, considering that the Colossus looks a little bigger than Bosh. Or at least that's the way it looks to me.

When I play a powerful card or use a powerful and straightforward ability, I often say 'bosh!'.
So this card is perfect for me.

As an EDH general, does the damage he deals with his ability count toward the 21 total? If so, I think Brion Stoutarm is going to end up feeling a little cheated.

@N3wtn: "In addition to the normal Magic loss conditions, if a player is dealt 21 points of combat damage from a single commander over the course of the game, that player loses the game!"
Since it's specified to be combat damage, and not all damage, the artifact flinging will not go toward the 21 total.

, Sacrifice some JPEG image quality: Bosh, Iron Golem deals damage equal to the number of compression artifacts in his artwork to target creature or player.

Note that he can sac himself if necessary. "It appears I have run out of things to throw at my opponent. Hmm...BELLY FLOP!"
