It looks like a revamped Myr Matrix (and sort of acts like a cheaper one too if you go searching for Myr Galvanizer)

Looks like it should be a dark Phyrexian version of the matrix, but it's not...

Myr Battlesphere.
Tap it and the four tokens you get.
Fetch Myr Battlesphere. If you have a Voltaic Key, then even better, go get another Myr Battlesphere.

Instant speed blockers are always a good thing, especially with a couple of Voltaic Keys

I have a feeling that this turbine is churning up something fancy in the future...

Mirrodin Pure? New Phyrexia? What is this?

This along with all the other new Myr assures that the next set will be "Myrrodin Forever"

I likey. But the art is too similar to the one on Myr Matrix. I could see people mistaking one for another.

An endless supply of chump blockers? I like!

The art is almost identical to the Matrix, it's like they just rotated the camera around a little bit. There's even the hanging Myr in the corner of the Matrix's art that matches the one in the corner here.

Not that that's a bad thing of course. This is this block's Matrix, and it's pretty dang sweet.

The art is incredibly lazy ):
The card is very cool though. It should be indestructible so as to pay respect, but it's still very myrtastic.
Wizards better give us an amazing Myr legend next set.

Over the years, the myr have been improving their design even without Memnarch. You thought you knew them before, but now you will truely understand the myr... every... last... one.

Turbo Myr. Let's make it the top standard deck. Now.

Dross Scorpion and ANY sacrifice engine much?

Stupid casual combos aside, this is a powerhouse in Limited, simply stopping opponents dead in their tracks for turns at a time. In Standard Constructed, I don't think it'll pan out. It's a great tool for Myr decks, but I'm not sure it gives them the tech to reach Tier 1. Outside of Myr Tribal, it probably won't find a home due to its high casting cost. Awakening Zone will probably do the same job better. Voltaic Key may work well with it, though...

I know green isn't the myr's favorite color but Quest for Renewal would be hilarious with this card. You need only four of your five myrs to charge it then your myrs untap every untap step. In multilayer that makes you the most dangerous person there. "I going to untap then tap and search for another battlesphere. Your turn. I untap then tap and search again. Another card that make it even worse is Mirrorworks. It would let you get double battlespheres for just 2 more mana. Ridiculous.

correct me if i am wrong but a myr welder imprinted with voltaic key with two myr galvanizer on the board + Master's call or mana myrs = search your entire deck for all myr cards and win.

@fencediddy If you have two galvanizers on the board, you should win right away, and you can with less cards. You can go infinite with Myr Propagator and Palladium Myr, and if you have the Turbine in play, just fetch a Myr Battlesphere to win next turn, but if you have one or two red mana, it's better to Fireball your opponent to death instead.

@fencediddy: If you're going to bother with all that, why not just pay the 12 mana to cast and activate Myr Incubator? Then you get a Myr for each artifact in your deck...

sorry all. phyrexia had a great run but the only thing that comes to mind is "get off my property". an army of myr. kuldotha forge master and myr turbine you have your choice of artifacts for near free. platinum empirion myr battleshere. especially when you can poop a 1/1 token every turn or 2 or more with voltaic key its gonna get ugly fast

Is casual, this card is just about game when it comes out. I can't tell you how many times I dropped this on turn 4 or 5, already had 5 myr ready (2 myr servitors, 1 plague myr, a galvanizer, and an Ichorclaw for example), tap it all right away, and boom, out comes the Battlesphere that was at the bottom of my deck. Even more fun when you have 5 other myr plus a galv, tap eveyone for a Battlesphere and still get an attack in.

Believe it or not, I've even used this to just put out more galvanizers to make my infect creatures bigger.

This seems like a pretty darn efficient token generator. It's an artifact of course, so you can untap it with Voltaic Key.

this card would be mythic worthy if it made 1/1 infect myrs.

@tcollins

I believe you are incorrect, as far as i know the creature type "Shapeshifter" is not what gives the ability to count as all creature types, only cards with the "Changeling" keyword count as being all creature types unless it or another card specifically says so. Only Shapshifters in Lowyn block had the Changeling ability, and most likely because it tied in with the tribal theme of the block.

I want to imprint this onto a prototype portal. Not because it's good, but because it would make an interesting mathematical series.

Holy poop. I love this card. I assume, flavor-wise, it's supposed to be a powered-up Myr Matrix of sorts, or something.

But am I the only one who notices they both look a lot like Myr Applecores?

@Kryptnyt: I just did, was like "wait a minute, they reprinted the matrix? when did that happen"

Getting it out with the matrix could be silly.
Someone needs to use it to search up changelings.

Get myr turbine into the graveyard somehow(I use naturalize in my monogreen myr deck) and the imprint it to myr welder. Use any mana myr and 2 myr galvanizers to create infinite myr tokens and then tap them with the second ability to play every myr in your deck. Fun times.

turn 2: myr
turn 3: clock of omens
turn 4: this, make 2 myr
turn 5: make 5
turn 6: make 10
turn 7: make 20...

And that's without casting any other artifacts to power the clock. (ahem... galvanizer...)

Or you can cast parallel lives with the clock and turbine to carpet bomb the table with myr.

I hate cards like these. Cards like these lead players to just make a deck like everyone else and play nothing but tribal decks. BORING.

I dunno why everyone is so obsessed with the whole Myr Galvanizer + Palladium Myr combo. This card has so many more infinite anything possibilities You can do better.

Turn 1:
Ancient Tomb
Sol Ring x2

Opponent: That's some nice mana you got there. You gonna Tinker a Steel Hellkite? How much did that cost, $75?

Turn 2:
Seat of the Synod
Etherium Sculptor
Myr Galvanizer

Opponent: Okay, way to be original; I applaud your obvious wealth of creativity.

Krark-Clan Ironworks

Opponent: Wait, what?

Sacrifice one Sol Ring and Seat of the Synod:
Clock of Omens

Opponent: I don't like where this is going...

Tap Myr Galvanizer and Etherium Sculptor: Untap Sol Ring...Then tap it.
Tap Clock of Omens and Krark-Clan Ironworks: Untap Sol Ring...Then tap it.
Sacrifice Sol Ring.

Play this + Gemstone Array

Opponent: ...Oh...I...uh...I see what you did there...

Turn Three (Wait for summoning sickness):

Draw Carnage Altar and play it.

Opponent: *ragequit*

I love this card soooo much! Turn 3 Omniscience + Enter the Infinite and infinite mana of any color And infinite untaps AND infinite tokens AND combos with any artifact after that! Granted, you have to go second and draw those exact cards for this to work, but still!

In a more realistic sense, I often get this out with Clock of Omens by turn 4 with Etherium Sculptors and only basic lands. From there, it works with most artifacts. Add the Krark-Clan Ironworks to create a nice little mana factory that your friends won't shank you for making. If you happen to be wearing body armor, however, Myr Galvanizers generally makes a win. Getting all that out by turn six or seven is actually pretty common; either that, or I suck at shuffling. Anyways, in conclusion, 6/5. (Oops, that extra star was actually a pop-up...)
