It's about time something was done about all these Lingering Souls tokens running around...

Why did they reprint this? Were tokens becoming too strong?

Had fun playing Lingering Souls.

Sideboard for any deck needing to combat Immortal Servitude.

Ratchet Bomb fits wonderfully into a core set. It's ability is easy to grok and quite flavorful.

Because Advent of the Wurm is too ratchet.

You magnificent tool of destruction. No Pyroclasm in M14, but damn this is going to mess up some aggro.

Correction @Pedrodyl - "and BOOM goes Populate!"

Cause clearly populate decks were getting out of hand.

So happy they reprinted this. Time to jam 2 in every sideboard.

Alot of people are upset at this card being reprinted due to its ability to destroy token decks. Granted, token decks aren't causing a huge upheaval in competitive play, but this card can give players on a budget the capability to compete against token generators like Voice of Resurgence, Geist of Saint Traft, Thragtusk, etc, as well as keeping the power level of said cards in check.

one of my favorite cards from m14. going to be in a lot, if not all of my side boards. dare i say some main decks.

I like how if you get this out on turn 2, you can kill anything your opponent has 2 turns after it's played. Not exactly a game winner by itself, but it can certainly keep you alive for a while.

This may seem a silly question but, does this kill tokens that are already out on the table..? Cos it states, destroys permanents with converted mana cost.... Tokens don't have a mana cost....?

I feel like people are missing the point when they use this against the Hydra Event Deck.

I think i'll just buy 4 of those. My friend's Strength of Selesnya deck is not fun ...

As if Selesnya really needed a curb-stomp...

I like this card because it makes your opponent afraid to cast stuff. If you play a deck that doesn't require more than a couple cards on the field at a time, this is the bomb.

0.5/5 for flavor:

Here is a bomb.
It kills everything.

Except that demon, that human, that rat, that elf, that enchantment, that aura, that artifact...

It kills this 2 mana cost enchantment here, but not the 3 manacost elf wearing it. It kills this 2 manacost armor, but not the 1 manacost gobling wearing it, it kills this 2 manacost 4/3 demon, but not this 0 manacost 0/1 gnome, it kills this flying 2 manacost 2/2 bird, but not the 1 manacost 0/1 bird, it kills this 2 manacost planeswalker, but not the 5 other planeswalkers, it kills this 2/2 enchantment creature, but not the 1/1 enchantment creature that wears it.

I'd love an explaination for how it would work, and 'magic' simply does not cut it:
Cards using manacost to evaluate cards in play, as opposed to in hand, library or on the stack, reeks of bad flavor -- unless it's a blue or black card with the flavor "this spell undoes this card's creation or casting."

I would have played this card if it made sense.

For but a brief time after Scars rotation, token decks rejoiced and everything was good.
Then the M14 nation attacked.
Because screw you, Selesnya.
