Cool flavor text, but makes no sense as a reprint.

Joy! Iv'e never got to play with this, it looks so fun! Also, New Phyrexia flavor makes me cackle with glee.

The new wording looks... clumsy. I kinda wish they kept it the same.

What in the world is this thing doing here? I mean... Yay, it's here... But why?
This really couldn't have been just to show off indestructible as a keyword, could it?

Dafaq did this get made a mythic for, and why was it reprinted at all!?
Still I guess its neat to have it back in standard, and perhaps this means Phyrexia on Theros?

Great choice for a reprint. Showcases Indestructible's new status. Cuts down on the price of the card, making it more accessible for casual and kitchen table players. Perfect example of a mythic. And to top it all off, that flavor text is incredible.
So New Phyrexia got a hold of this and did what to it exactly? Come on, Elesh Norn, you know you wanna put a pope hat right on top of that tower.

It's a good card, but why did they reprint it? Unless the next set's going to have an artifact theme, it really has no purpose in standard.

Does this really need to cost 9?

Ok, I'll admit, I've only been playing Magic for about a year, but this card at 9 cmc seems pretty useless to me.
In all of my playing, I can count on one hand the number of times either side had more than 9 land cards and/or creatures available to tap for mana before the game was over. So please tell me how this card is useful by the time anyone can get around to casting it. What other artifacts are you using this with to make it worthwhile?
And there are ways of getting cards into play without hard casting them. a turn 2 or 3 Show and Tell is one example of cheating something into play.
There are also a lot of artifacts that tap for more than 1 mana. Grim Monolith or Metalworker are just two of the strong ones.
Not to mention there are other uses for having something with a cmc of 9 on the board. March of the Machines is just one of those uses. Would you rather not have a 9/9 that makes all of your artifacts indestrucible?

Well, great, the Phyrexians got their hands on one of these. The Mirrans are done for. Again.
Also, I guess, to Akroma's Memorial, but less so. I feel that Memorial was more Dominaria-flavored and partly in because Bolas was in? I feel that card represented more an Homage than A Staple Effect.
Citadel, Colossus, and Angel feel Extremely Core Set, Memorial feels GOOD, but more Commander-y or Cube-y than Core Set, by an inch. :)

adavey_mtg, I use my Master Transmuter. That Darksteel Relic? Nope, that's a Forge on turn 4

the best thing about this reprint is the new flavor text by Elesh Norn

No doubt reprinted for EDH and Casual players. As someone who works in a Card Shop, we were completely out of stock on these. Same with Darksteel Ingots, so getting a flood of stock from a core set reprint is a blessing.

Kind of like how Phylactery Lich was printed in M13, I wonder why this was printed now.
I understand they had to keep this way from a core set where Artifacts could be abused, but I don't remember seeing any Affinity decks playing this in it. It is a little more obvious they kept this as far away from Master Transmuter as possible.
I also guess the Core Sets are a dumping ground for all spells you can't reprint in themed sets. I mean, it wouldn't have made sense if Darksteel was found in Ravnica.
So my theory is they did it so casual and EDH players didn't have to spend $10 on one, if the store hand it. Also, adavey_mtg/badmalloc, with an ability like that, you can't have an ability like this without making it very expensive.
It becomes useful by that time because it can be the final push you need. If, say, you were at a standstill where you had a large army and they had a large army, playing this could be just what you need to win.
Thanks to Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Hammer of Purphoros, this has an actual Standard purpose now. An army of 3/3 indestructible golems with haste is an intimidating thing for your opponent to face down.

Great card for Timmy and interesting enough for Johnny, but instant trade-bin fodder for Spike. Decks that plan on hardcasting this followed by a turn 10 Nevinyrral's Disk literally lose to a single turn 1 Goblin Guide.
It doesn't help that Avacyn, Angel of Hope is a card either. If you plan on actually hardcasting either of them in a deck that runs white, there's very little reason not to chose the 8/8 flying, vigilant angel that protects all your permanents and comes in a turn earlier.
I miss the old wording, I am not a big fan of indestructible as a keyword, I liked "are indestructible" better than "have indestructible". I love Elesh Norn though and the flavor text is neat so I'd say it is kind of a wash. New phyrexian art would have been cool.
As for the card, it is a cool effect, definitely mythic. At this cost though it is pretty restricted. If you have some way to cheat out multiple artifacts though, this will be on your list for sure. Master Transmuter and Open the Vaults come as obvious modern choices.

Is it me, or can the new flavor text be thought of as a response to the old flavor text? WotC DID admit that they'd always planned for Mirrodin to be usurped by the Phyrexians, after all...

For things worth making indestructible:
Nevinyrral's Disk and Mycosynth Lattice.

Lastly, if you plan on cheating artifacts into play a la Master Transmuter or Tinker, you're much better off putting into play an actual win condition like Blightsteel Colossus or Inkwell Leviathan. If you're using Show and Tell, just put into play an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
