Sigarda Doesn't do anything interesting but stop certain EDH prevalent cards, and won't make it as a General for anyone but a new Magic player who lucked one into a pack.
Gisela Does SHI-TONS, but her cost is way too high in non-mana-ramp colors. She'll get into EDH, but not as a general.
Bruna. Bruna will be the song sung by many an EDH table. Enchantments are no longer twofers, and self mill is going to be horrendously good.
And that's just off the top of my head. Among those you have life gain when she attacks, unblockable, protection from creatures, psuedo-indesctrucibility, First Strike, and the Magemarks provide their benefits to ALL enchanted creatures so they are useful if you are building around her abilities. Divine Favor even grants a small life gain whenever it ENTERS THE BATTLEFIELD, not just when cast. Aura Finesse cantrips and lets you scoot enchantments between critters if necessary so you don't have to feel shy about not getting full mileage the Magemark's if you are using them.
I really like enchantment's and its nice to see WotC doing something to make them more playable!
I don't think she should be compared to Uril for some reasons, even though they seem to be similar in many ways, playstyles of their decks is different.
Bruna's deck is in control colors, while Uril's deck is going to follow more of a beatdown strategy. The main idea is same - pump your command to extreme levels and annihilate your opponent with unstoppable force.
Uril is hexproofed, and has "better" selection of auras for pure beatdown, and is powered up by stacking auras on him. With few small auras, you can get considerable beater, but he lacks evasion. It's not so hard to provide him some ways of evasion, though. He suffers from enchantment hate greatly, and can do little about it.
Bruna, on the other hand, has build-in evasion in form of flying. You need to protect her before she can act, but it's not so hard in her colors. Blue provides you with shroud, white with protection of chosen color. Once you can attack with her, she is awesome. She does not provide you with brute force of Uril, but her aura recursion can make the difference... Teferi's Care and Flight of Fancy is great example.
Uril is pure beater, Bruna is pure card advantage machine.

Everyone is talking about her in EDH, but I want to use her in standard too, I think she's secret OP. You have Spirit Mantle, Corrupted Conscience and Angelic Destiny. Use Merfolk Looter and/or Deranged Assistant maybe even Forbidden Alchemy to pack the grave. Mantles make her unblockable pretty much, conscience gives her infect and destiny makes her huge enough to kill people. Can even play Defy Death to be REALLY obnoxious.

Seems like Vanish into Memory could work with her. Use it to save her (although you won't get her back til the next turn) or use it on an opponents to fill your graveyard full of auras.
I'm sure there is more, but this selection alone shows she is a force to be reckoned with. I bet, if played correctly, an opponent will die every time she attacks.

If you think about it, color playing no part here, She's Brunamus Prime!! Ok maybe she's a Prime, maybe not, but she's DEF an Auto-Bot (think about it, she comes into play an AUTO-matically transforms lol.. Well.. not AUTO, auto, b/c she still has to stay around long enough to attack or block but It's safe to say that more often than not, she will do so at least once/round which will be more than enough in most cases and that backs my case even more really, as most of the time "they" show a transformer transforming, its RIGHT before engaging in battle! lol) But all joking aside.. A 6 cmc for a 5/5 flyer with even the worst added extra evasion and ability would still make a strong case for her as one of the most cost effective 5+ p/t Angels (if not Creatures) with flying in all of magic (pauses.. looks at 2 past core sets with 5 cmc angel with flying and 800 forms of evasion and hate sparking attributes..), but add in vig which only boosts and backs the credability of the above argument and when you toss in the ability not only does she become instant sideboard defense as an aura-mance hoser but also sparks a new conversation in which one could argue that this is the most bang for your buck, cost effective Angel if not Creature, if not SPELL (*that's still tourny legal of course) of ALL the 10,000+ cards in Magic!!! Thank GOD she doesn't do to Equipment what she does to auras lol all I'm sayin! Now.. Go 'head Bruna Prime, Rock ON w/ya BAD self!! : P

How can anyone call this bad? Does anyone remember sovereigns of lost alara? That card spawned an entire deck archetype that was quite successful, and Bruna is better than sovereigns in many ways. Of course, sovereigns had eldrazi con***ion, but you never know what the future may bring. If a ridiculous aura is printed, she will break 20 bucks.

I play EDH and i really like the idea of reusable abilities. Spellshapers like devout witness and diplomatic escort are great for loading up your graveyard with enchantments.

It's comical how bad she is in draft compared to the other two of the cycle. Sigarda is almost impossible to kill, and if Gisela survives to attack, the game is basically wrapped up... but Bruna? You've got what amounts to a 5/5 flier. For 6 mana. In two colors. I know she's good in EDH and other formats, but I'm glad I've only pulled Gisela and Sigarda in limited environments, because in that respect, this card actually makes me chuckle.

i want to use her somehow, but my enchantment deck is green/white, and one of the first things i learnt about my enchantment deck was "eggs in baskets". still, maybe i can splash a bit of blue into it, find a way to giver her hexproof (Elgaud Shieldmate maybe?). yessss, this can work.

Me reading this card: "may attach to it any number of Auras on the battlefield" - Oh cool something new to do with Auras, still don't like the card disadvantage. "from the graveyard" - Nevermind then might be interesting with totem armor and the like but I'd still have to find a way to get it into my graveyard. "and/or hand" - EDH Now.
Too bad you can't steal aura's from your opponents graveyards and put them under your control. Otherwise Auratog would be even scarier. Sac all to Auratog attack with her you get them all back. Yeah that's not gonna get out of hand.
Sidenote: I actually am building an EDH deck around her so I appreciate the Commander notes.
Edit: @j_mindfingerpainter: Cast? I think not. Double check the card. You can cheat it into play from your graveyard hand or just take it from the battlefield. The only thing I'm not sure is whether or not you can do it without her having an aura already.
Having used her as such, I can say that Faith Healer makes a *wonderful* attendant for her- you can sac all of Bruna's Auras just before you declare her as an attacker or blocker for huge lifegain- maybe leave Diplomatic Immunity or Protective Bubble so she doesn't get Doom Bladed. Then she revives all the sacced auras upon attack/block.
This can easily gain you 10-20+ life per attack or block (hooray for Vigilance), and *quite* a few cards if Drogskol Reaver is also on your team.
You'd have to cast it after it had enchantments on it, but because it's a primary target for them, it seems perfect.

This card is Beyond broken in EDH. I end up against a bruna deck all the time and she is impossible to kill outside of a board wipe. It always wins in all the games it plays in unless your deck is rigged. How do you even kill a 20/20 flying vigilance, lifelink, doublestrike, pro spell, pro creature general?

This angel would be the death of my Rafiq of the Many deck; I'd be unable to use my own Sovereigns of Lost Alara trigger because she will just steal my Eldrazi Con***ion for herself.
Good auras for her are probably obvious; if it protects her and grants her evasion like Protective Bubble, you want it. I'd also throw in totem armor auras and Umbra Mystic to protect her from Wrath of God effects, and run Winds of Rath as your own Wrath effect.

4x Ethereal Armor makes the Alababester swing for 21. Oof.
Technical rules: You can still use her ability (and Sovereigns') to put auras on her even if she has Shroud, since it doesn't target. If she would be destroyed while having a Totem Armor on her, only one of the totem armors (of your choice) gets destroyed. If multiple auras become attached to her and multiple abilities trigger for some reason as a result (i.e. Divine Favor and Dark Favor both coming into play) the owner of each triggered ability, in order of play starting with the active player, puts them on the stack in their choice of order, which then resolves in reverse order. So if you want to gain life before you lose life, you put Dark Favor on the stack before Divine Favor.

I have actually been using this online recently with decent results using this card in a deck with invisible stalker, sphere of safety, ethereal Armour and other auras. haste would be nice but if you can give her flash shes just as good.

Art on this card is beyond amazing. So in love with it (and the ability) that I just had to build an EDH with Bruna at the helm.
She may not get much haste in UW, but flash is the next best thing. Teferi, Orrery, Scout's Warning, Winding Canyons...The fact that her ability triggers on attacking OR blocking is beautiful. Flash her in during declare blockers, suit her up, and swing when your turn comes around.
She loves Intuition if you can afford it. You basically get every Aura you need LOL. Three Dreams works, too, and is much more affordable. She's a semi-reanimator, so she loves looting effects.
While you could easily just load up the deck to the brim with Auras, I'd honestly only consider a handful to be "staple" personally. Battle Mastery is a must because double strike makes her kill instantly most of the time. Corrupted Conscience is fantastic, too, since you can suit up Bruna with infect or steal another creature. Spirit Mantle and Unquestioned Authority because pro-creatures is better than unblockable IMO. Auramancer's Guise and Ethereal Armor give her a ridiculous P/T boost. Eldrazi Con***ion just absurd. Fool's Demise makes it a pain to actually get her off the board. Alexi's Cloak gives her shroud at instant speed to fizzle spot removal. Vanishing gives her more protection and is overall less mana intensive than Flickerform.
Overall, I love Bruna. She's the Voltron General of choice for those of us who don't have Swords at our disposal and virtually renders the huge potential of minusing from using Auras non-existent. Still need to be cautious of Graveyard hate though.
Three Dreams -> Steel of the Godhead + Battle Mastery + Corrupted Conscience Yeah. Can't believe no one's mentioned Corrupted Conscience yet. You don't need the artless, smashy Uril-colored auras with Glamorous Bruna, when all you have to do is spike through them for an easy, unblockable 10 for a KO. Also, haste is nice, but Leyline of Anticipation to Flash-block with her is fun too.

I have a Bant Enchantment deck with two copies of Bruna, four Soverigns of Lost Alara, and a ton of Auras, including both an Eldrazi Con***ion and a Phyresis for the lolz.
Why, yes, that is a 17/17 creature with Flying, Vigilant, Trampling, Anhilator 2, and Infect flying at your face (assuming two soverigns and no other enchantments).
The only problem is that the small space of time between her landing on the battle field and you attaching some protective auras to her, she is very very vunrable to removal. Consider placing Asceticism down a turn eariler. Or having counterspells and spare mana to hand. Or something. She will be Murdered.

I used to think this card sucked and was the worst of the legendary Angels from Avacyn Restored. Then one of my friends decided to make an EDH/Commander deck with Bruna and Traumatize. He casts Bruna, casts Traumatize on himself milling some 40 cards (a lot of them usually being strong Auras) and then swings with Bruna for massive amounts of damage. As someone else mentioned, Mirror-Mad Phantasm could also be used to potentially mill your whole library and then swing with Bruna. Psychic Spiral could also be used to "re-roll" your graveyard if you're not happy with what's in there. Fact or Fiction and Merchant's Scroll are also amazing for the deck, FoF never giving your opponent any good choice (because Bruna doesn't care whether your Auras are in your graveyard or your hand) and Scroll tutoring for Traumatize. So if you're one of the guys who pulled Brunas from Avacyn boosters and were disappointed, here's your chance to use her efficiently :)
I don't think you understand how immensely sad I was when this went out of Standard while Ethereal Armor and Sphere of Safety were in. Eh, I guess enchantment creatures make up for that.

My friend has a Bruna, Light of Alabaster EDH deck with her as the general. It includes Umbra Mystic and Infiltrator's Magemark, among other aura things. That means his general is basically a 21/21+ unblockable beatstick who's also damn near unkillable. Bounce her? He'll just replay her and she'll get all her umbral auras back next turn. Exile? He'll command zone her and take the loss of tempo to do the same next turn. Oh, and of course he's put far more protection on the Mystic than anything else, so it's sticking around...
Seriously, I hate Bruna in EDH. So, so much. She should be banned as a general, at least.

as a very big fan of her in commander, here are some notes
ordeal enchantments from theros, every 2 turns you get to draw 2 or gain 10 life, asuming you attack to get the enchantments from the grave, second time if their effects activate you get stronger, and if you have the 3+ counters you get that advantage
protective bubble, as far as i know her effect is a perfect work around to shroud, and more evasion is hard to call bad. however this is not as good on its own then the ordeals

Edit: @j_mindfingerpainter: Cast? I think not. Double check the card. You can cheat it into play from your graveyard hand or just take it from the battlefield. The only thing I'm not sure is whether or not you can do it without her having an aura already.
this angel *begs* to have a brand new EDH deck built just for her.
Having used her as such, I can say that Faith Healer makes a *wonderful* attendant for her-
you can sac all of Bruna's Auras just before you declare her as an attacker or blocker for huge lifegain-
maybe leave Diplomatic Immunity or Protective Bubble so she doesn't get Doom Bladed.
Then she revives all the sacced auras upon attack/block.
This can easily gain you 10-20+ life per attack or block (hooray for Vigilance),
and *quite* a few cards if Drogskol Reaver is also on your team.
You'd have to cast it after it had enchantments on it, but because it's a primary target for them, it seems perfect.

Good auras for her are probably obvious; if it protects her and grants her evasion like Protective Bubble, you want it. I'd also throw in totem armor auras and Umbra Mystic to protect her from Wrath of God effects, and run Winds of Rath as your own Wrath effect.
(For Commander:) Wants haste so badly... Good thing there are some colorless cards that give haste.
Technical rules: You can still use her ability (and Sovereigns') to put auras on her even if she has Shroud, since it doesn't target. If she would be destroyed while having a Totem Armor on her, only one of the totem armors (of your choice) gets destroyed. If multiple auras become attached to her and multiple abilities trigger for some reason as a result (i.e. Divine Favor and Dark Favor both coming into play) the owner of each triggered ability, in order of play starting with the active player, puts them on the stack in their choice of order, which then resolves in reverse order. So if you want to gain life before you lose life, you put Dark Favor on the stack before Divine Favor.

She may not get much haste in UW, but flash is the next best thing. Teferi, Orrery, Scout's Warning, Winding Canyons...The fact that her ability triggers on attacking OR blocking is beautiful. Flash her in during declare blockers, suit her up, and swing when your turn comes around.
She loves Intuition if you can afford it. You basically get every Aura you need LOL. Three Dreams works, too, and is much more affordable. She's a semi-reanimator, so she loves looting effects.
While you could easily just load up the deck to the brim with Auras, I'd honestly only consider a handful to be "staple" personally. Battle Mastery is a must because double strike makes her kill instantly most of the time. Corrupted Conscience is fantastic, too, since you can suit up Bruna with infect or steal another creature. Spirit Mantle and Unquestioned Authority because pro-creatures is better than unblockable IMO. Auramancer's Guise and Ethereal Armor give her a ridiculous P/T boost. Eldrazi Con***ion just absurd. Fool's Demise makes it a pain to actually get her off the board. Alexi's Cloak gives her shroud at instant speed to fizzle spot removal. Vanishing gives her more protection and is overall less mana intensive than Flickerform.
Overall, I love Bruna. She's the Voltron General of choice for those of us who don't have Swords at our disposal and virtually renders the huge potential of minusing from using Auras non-existent. Still need to be cautious of Graveyard hate though.
Yeah. Can't believe no one's mentioned Corrupted Conscience yet. You don't need the artless, smashy Uril-colored auras with Glamorous Bruna, when all you have to do is spike through them for an easy, unblockable 10 for a KO.
Also, haste is nice, but Leyline of Anticipation to Flash-block with her is fun too.
Vanishing & Flickerform for some additional evasion.
Why, yes, that is a 17/17 creature with Flying, Vigilant, Trampling, Anhilator 2, and Infect flying at your face (assuming two soverigns and no other enchantments).
Throw in cards like Spirit Mantle, Steel of the Godhead and Alpha Authority to help her connect.
The only problem is that the small space of time between her landing on the battle field and you attaching some protective auras to her, she is very very vunrable to removal. Consider placing Asceticism down a turn eariler. Or having counterspells and spare mana to hand. Or something. She will be Murdered.
So if you're one of the guys who pulled Brunas from Avacyn boosters and were disappointed, here's your chance to use her efficiently :)
I don't think you understand how immensely sad I was when this went out of Standard while Ethereal Armor and Sphere of Safety were in. Eh, I guess enchantment creatures make up for that.
Seriously, I hate Bruna in EDH. So, so much. She should be banned as a general, at least.
ordeal enchantments from theros, every 2 turns you get to draw 2 or gain 10 life, asuming you attack to get the enchantments from the grave, second time if their effects activate you get stronger, and if you have the 3+ counters you get that advantage
protective bubble, as far as i know her effect is a perfect work around to shroud, and more evasion is hard to call bad. however this is not as good on its own then the ordeals
plains, using unhinged plains appears to be badass. much important, very style.
