Wow this is awesome. I feel like they realized the flavor of Armored Ascension was off made a more resonant/synergistic card

One mana for first strike and at least +1/+1, good.

This is a card I can see myself playing at the pre-release this weekend and in alot of drafts this year. If the creature with it on it is not killed this card makes whatever creature a finisher in a deck with alot of blue/white "removal" enchantments.
In standard it will also be best buddy with Rancor. Turn 1 random 1 drop, turn 2 this Rancor. 5/3 first strike trampler turn 2.. I would tap that!

Already strictly better than Lance, and then you count all of the other enchantments, aura or otherwise.
R&D must've been on something in this set. Every card is either absolutely broken or absolute shit.

I am a pro and I am surprised that this is a common. I would of expected uncommon, but I am not complaining.
This card won me plenty of matches in my B/G/W deck at the prerelease. This obviously works with enchantments you put on opponents creatures as well, so stab wound and arrest give you more power too! Put this on my kordoza guildmage and used it as a blocker while I gave my 8/8 vigilant elemental(from grove of the guardian ) +1/+1 and intimidate.
Will be stellar in quick aggro decks that are filled with enchantments and really good in draft, because first strike and a guaranteed +1/+1 with room to grow is well worth the single (W) mana.

Excellent , what is better than one armor ? Two armors ! In a white weenie you can have a 5/5 init on turn 2 and there are some synergie between enchants in ravnica to build a deck about .
very good card. there is no need of a theme deck for it to be good. if you just play 4 armors and 4 oblivion rings it can be easily +2/+2 or +3/+3 for W. a great deal.

Wait... +1/+1 for each enchantment AND first strike?? Zur The Enchanter is gonna love this.

And yet the only thing I can think of putting it on is an Aura Gnarlid, or his EDH captain, Uril.

Pulled 3 at the prerelease... Needless to say, my opponent didn't enjoy my turn four 10/10 First Strike Lifelink Trained Caracal.
If you manage to get a second Armor, that's a 6/5 first strike for and hybrid (don't know hybrid symbols). Holy Moly!

This card was made for Zur! Ethereal Armor and this mask make Zur very over powered and swinging for game very easily in commander. +3/+3 everytime Zur is declared as an attacker is amazing, and that's before the aura you fetched. :3

Gonna be hard to find a use for this now. Not like there was some form of enchantment based pre-built deck that came out very recently. Possibly with alternate format rules, or something.

In a game I played receently I got a Sol Ring and Pearl Medallion in my opening hand. Both went out first turn.
Second turn Amrou Kithkin "Amrou Kithkin can't be blocked by creatures with power 3 or greater." I might have played something else too, can't recall.
Too bad it was a multi-player game and everyone teamed up on me once the saw that. If they didn't I would have killed them all, LOL. Plus I had a Sigil of the Empty Throne out I think on turn 5 and 2 more enchantments which game me 2, 4/4 angels. Yeah, I'm running an enchantment deck.
@Sallucianious, Zur the Enchanter has always been way overpowered in Commander. It's counterproductive to use a deck that makes people not want to play with you.

4/5. Huge potential in limited and if WU enchanted makes a comeback this will be a main deck staple for that archtyped.

I find the flavor a tad off here as ethereal is defined as heavenly, light, and DELICATE. However the heavenly/spiritual side of ethereal makes this card a perfect flavor match with Bruna, the head of Flight Alabaster, who never travel armed and rely on their magic to protect them.
And just look at that glorious synergy. Throw this on early game creatures and if they face removal recycle onto Bruna, Light of Alabaster for a finish, make your opponents regret playing even a single rancor against you, or go that extra air beats mile with favorable winds.
Yes, I'm a Johnny, how did you know?

On an unrelated note, this is what the armor spells in Skyrim should have looked like.

seems great on paper but in game is only good vs certain decks (mostly without removal) since if they kill the creature you are enchanting you are a card behind and that is huge (ive tried it and its super hard to pull off) that being said may be good if you build deck around aura enchantments - but ask yourself - is it worth it?

It could be a rare, I mean this is just broken in aura decks. :/

Talons of Fallkenrath finally has a little bit of use. Boosts EA enchanted creatures, and allows you to give it firebreathing. Still very inefficient (Talons). EA is a cool aura.
More like, "too lazy to look for metal, too cheap to pay for it when found, and too wimpy to carry it around after getting it", am I right?

So, looking at Theros, this is going to be really powerful (as if it wasn't good already.) Enchantment+(other permanent type) looks like a theme, so this is going to fit into the enchantment decks that will be showing up. Sphere of Safety is going to be more viable too.

@Randowar, that's my strategy for standard play now. Monowhite enchantments
T1. Hopeful Eidolon T2. Double Ethereal armor on Eidolon, swing for 7/7 lifelink T3. Ajani, -3 ability. Swing for 7/7 flying doublestrike lifelink.
I can't wait to be able to pull that off. it will be beautiful when it happens.

So does it only count towards enchantments already in play or does it get another +1/+1 for each enchantment that comes in after it?

EDIT(again): With all the enchantment creatures and enchantment artifacts in Theros, I've been able to make this into a forreals, usable, powerful deck type in Standard! It works spectacularly well, considering all but 4 of the spells in there are enchantments, outside of the sideboard. It's beautiful. DECKLIST LANDS -2x Rogue's Passage -4x Orzhov Guildgate -5x Swamp -13x Plains
ENCHANTMENTS -4x Ethereal Armor -4x Sphere of Safety -4x Pacifism -3x Ordeal of Heliod -2x Indestructibility -2x Soul Tithe
Nothing like a 6/3 First Strike Trampler to start the day.

@superghandi88 I gotta try that.
This card is mighty because it scales the power of your creatures upwards with each turn. You almost don't need any creature that costs more than 3 converted if you have this card.
By the time I get Sphere of Safety out I usually have like 7 or 8 enchants.
I've had trouble with quick kill red decks. Or uber-tricky control decks.

Giving it a 5 because at 1 mana this card is insane. Just get some Auramancer and some kind of revival mechanism to make sure you can play this again and again and again and again...
Myself, I just bought Enchanted Evening to combo with this little baby. Seems like a promising little idea, if I get it out on turn 5 it's at least +8/8 (5 lands for enchanted evening, +1 for the creature and +2 for itself and the other enchantment). And if I can't get Enchanted evening at turn 5, well, I can get it later and pump this even further :)
For example, on one of my 4 Master of Diversion means a 10/10 that can potentially tap out any dangerous defenders and strike for damage, and first strike makes it survive death touchers. For dirt cheap, it's not bad!

I went to FNM for the first time last week. G/W voltron deck starring Favored Hoplite and this. I managed third out of about 12 people.
This thing is simply too good in Pauper. Far too good. I can't believe it hasn't been banned there. This thing hits the table in my Junk Enchantments deck and it wins on the spot. Every. Damn. Time. Its pretty bad when you have to feel terrible about winning cuz this card makes it so easy. Yet... 5 stars.
