That's an awful lot of power. It's also a big hoop to jump through. If only you could play it on a creature after something which grants shroud... What's the best aura to follow up with this? My heart says Armadillo Cloak (double-lifelink is a waste, post M10, but Armadillo Cloak doesn't actually grant Lifelink as a keyword ability ;) ). Beyond that... Inviolability? Flickerform? Shield of the Oversoul? Um... Holy Armor?

You can actually get around the enchant creature thing with Auratouched Mage's coming into play effect or enters battlefield effect or whatever the rules call it now. Second the best aura to team this up with is from the same block, Auramancer's Guise. The double vigilance is kind of a waste, but +7/+7, first strike and lifelink is just awesome. Also flickeform on an Auratouched Mage would also be good.

It can also be searched up using Zur the Enchanter. Remember that removing the only other Aura enchanting a creature with this Aura on it will also cause Daybreak Coronet to be put into the graveyard as a state based effect.

I feel like this was a futuresight glimpse at Baneslayer Angel... since it's a 3WW creature that has Flying, First Strike, Lifelink, protection from demons and dragons, and is a 5/5.

However, we can only guess.

This, Aura swap, and some of the other weird enchantments in FS lead me to believe we may get a full Enchantment block going sometime.

Armadillo Cloak does not provide "lifelink" even in the oracle, because what a.c. does IS not lifelink!
the cloak always grants you the life gain, even i you enchant somebody else's creature.

Great Aura, especially when you use it on Samurai Creatures with bushido or after powering it up with other Auras like Exoskeletal Armor and giving Lure. Simple is almost always best. Could also work nice if you have Cradle of Vitality.
Also nice art, I like cards with something realistic on them like human face or something.

Two words: Canopy Cover

a lesser one would be Shielding Plax but it isn't as good as Canopy Cover (since obviously you're going to use the enchanted creature to attack)

@rubber: I don't think Diplomatic Immunity is valid since you make the creature untargetable thus unenchantable

Maybe when this is reprinted in the future, Blessing will be as well. They could be best friends. Perhaps even Indestructibility

Nobody loves stacking auras as much as my buddy "My name is Uril" (otherwise known as Uril, the Miststalker)

One aura on a creature= probably card disadvantage (unless it's something like a totem armor or rancor)

This= extreme card disadvantage (they use one card to eliminate three of your cards. final score: opponent +2 card advantage, you: 0.)

Wow, this can turn a Mourning Thrull with an Edge of Divinity into a 7/7 flying, first strike, vigilance, lifelink, when-this-deals-damage-gain-that-much-life monster.

This takes the negative aspect of auras, and carries it a step further. It sits dead unless you already have an enchanted creature, and then begs the opponent to three-for-one you with a removal spell. Totem Auras are a step in the right direction towards making playable auras; this is going in an opposite direction.

Holy Crap.

Enchant Storm Crow that has Curiosity and you essentially get a blue baneslayer.

Or just buff Baneslayer to be redundant.

Or just buff a better card. Or some weenie for some early WTF DEWD.

Me and my buddies had a huge debate over if it died or not if the other aura(s) fell off the creature it was on (before seeing any rulings). I figured, best way to look at it, it doesn't say "enchant -creature-", it says "enchant -creature with another aura-", thusly, if the -creature with another aura- is no longer in play, it has an illegal target.

Zur the Enchanter would like a word. After fishing himself up a Shielding Plax, of course.

Also, just for the lulz: Retether to place two of these on the same creature without any other Auras on it.

Rancor's best friend. For three mana you get +5/+3, First Strike, Vigilance, Lifelink, and Trample. That's really impressive for a white/green deck, and even more so if they're on Kor Spiritdancer, Thran Golem, or Mistmeadow Skulk.

Its downside just encourages you to play more Auras to reduce its risk, and its mana cost narrows its usefulness only slightly. So if you have a white deck that already has a handful of Auras, including two or three copies of this will cause some major problems for your opponent. Well worth the slots in your deck.

This is white's nail in the coffin as far as aura finishers. I give it 3.5 out of 5 because its a tricky deck to pull off, and you probably wouldn't want to run more than 2 (maybe 3) in a deck. Here's how you can justify its WW cost: it requires a early creature, hopefully with hexproof, followed by an aura (take your pick there are a LOT, from commons to rare to choose from). When you pull this, you've already spend around 3-5 mana for the dude and the aura, making this a 5WW mana investment enchantment, but you get to play it on turn 4 or 5 (as a finisher) PLUS you get to keep mana open for a counterspell or other shenanigans.

Think W/U
Slipery Bogle, Invisible Stalker, Geist of Saint Traft all fill the curve for hexproof super-beaters.
you have curiosity, spectral flight, traveler's cloak. And hell the shadowmoor common aura aren't half bad.
Follow that up with Daybreak Coronet and you've got probably a 2 turn clock on an opponent (with mana open for counter magiks).

Even if your guy dies, the lifelink should give you enough cushion to last to get on your feet again.

I remember buying a playset of these for $1, everyone thought they were worthless. I've wrecked so hard with them since.

I realize it's quite efficient; but its playability seems marginal. It is likely in mono-white (in which case it's easier to 3-for-1) or it's possibly in a mixed color setting where the efficiency is more difficult to get at and the risk of being 2-for-1 or 3-for-1'd is still quite possible.

Further, against White, Green, or Blue, they can bounce/destroy one aura and kill this aura as well. While it'll pay off big time if it lands well, it's high-risk-high-reward behavior and I don't know if I buy into it on this instance.

He could be Greek... is Theros the fabled enchantment-matters set?

Edit: OOOOH MY GAR OH MY GUY OH MY GEY OOOOH MY GURR
LOOK AT WHAT THIS DUDE HAVE TALKED ABOUT AT SAN DIEGO
I posted that 7/18/2013 3:22:36 PM
I bought about five of each Oath of the Ancient Wood, Path of Bravery, Ajani's Chosen, Awaken the Ancient, Indestructibility, Dismiss into Dream, and a few others.... maybe I should have invested some more? And maybe I missed something that everyone knows would be valuable in a heavy enchantment block... I dunno. But I'm so excited. :)

Edit again: Well, I read two other old articles that mentioned an enchantment theme was expected in Theros. I have a long way to go.
