Aura has one common issue being that destroying the creature you destroy the aura, but recent auras either return to your hand after the creature dies, draw you card, or like this one, creates a token. Not the best aura around but certainly not bad.
Firesplitter.

For 1 less it would be pretty playable. Now it is just another card that will see draft sideboards.

In my opinion, this is a bad griffin guide. Griffin guide costs three mana, this here costs five. +2/+2 and flying is superior to +2/+2 and first strike.

And in general, this aura is far too expensive manawise. If someone kills, bounce, exiles, phases, flickers or whatevers your creature in response to the aura, you get neither a token nor the aura. And if someone kills the creature, you just paid a whooping five mana for a lousy bear.

Aww, that knight is escorting that old lady! How sweet!

Pros like me realize the value this card gives when you add populate to the mix.

Overly expensive, but conceptually, I like it. Populate likes it, Vigilance is good, and a total power boost of +4/+4 onto your side of the field.

3White would have been perfectly fine, though, even at common. I mean, come on. They printed Ethereal Armor at common for White. The hell were they smoking anyways?

So, let me get this straight, you generate a 2/2 knight with vig and then flavorfully, stack a fully armored 2/2 knight with vig on the back of an enchanted creature. You can make anything you control into a mount.

This is actually CRAZY GOOD in limited, especially with populate.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the old lady is the knight token. That's if I'm reading the card right. And I'm pretty sure I am.

One of the most consistently underestimated cards in RtR limited. It puts 4 vigilant power and toughness on the board for 5. That's not bad at all.

Too expensive, by the time you get 5 mana I think you will be looking for something better to play. Or wont play it if you have other cards in your hand. I would only play this if it was the only card in my hand.

this is better than griffin guide because you get the token emediatly but could have done with 3 colorless instead of 4 to make it really playable. also the old lady should have been flexing like thanks for the +2/+2 knight dude.

The old lady could've been an elderly Seller of Songbirds.
However, when I'l playing in limited, this is commonly on a Rubbleback Rhino. Although, that wouldn't look at righteous and valour-like if this knight was escorting a giant mothertrucking rhino around.

BUT JUST IMAGINE THE ART!!!

3 out of 5. It has potential for limited. Pump a creature and get another 2/2 body with vigilence isn't bad. The mana cost is a little high for its effect.

Unfortunately, you can't put this on the 2/2 creature you're creating if you don't have any creatures.

Observant Alseid is oddly similar. Convergent evolution?
