Being able to play any green from your deck for 1 more is just amazing. It being reusable is just icing on the cake.

This card reads:

Choose one - This card is a BoP for 1G; or it's a Leatherback / Doran for 3G; or it's a Acidic Slime for 5G; a Primeval Titan for 6G; an Avenger of Zendikar for 7G; etc. etc.

If that doesn't sound undercosted, well it is. WIth a Leathback in your deck it's a 4/5 for 3G as a baseline, which is just about fair (actually I don't think they even dare print a vanilla 4/5 for 3G, though they should); but then imagine it has all sorts of kicker that grows it to the best 7-drop ever for eight mana total, and doubles up as Utopia Tree in a pinch.

By the way, now they better avoid any WUBRG creatures. Those might as well be costed an easy 5G. This card is wrong.

I really like this card. A great design!
Gives Green Decks more consistency while making possible room for several "1-offs".
I especially like that you actually have to think a little which card you wan't to pull instead of beeing reliant on luck to pull something useful. I like thinking over luck dependancy :)

Some more cards like this and we could actually get away from decks that you can play with 90% efficiency even if you netdecked the whole list: Valakut Ramp, Eldrazi Ramp etc.

Ironic is that particularly Valakut Ramp will benefit from this card until M11 rotates out.

Yes, because green needs something other than genesis wave to dish out creatures...
What else can I say? This thing can be used over and over again to fetch anything for a tiny extra cost that is almost negligible in green decks. It's like the best of wargate (searching potential) and summoner's pact (an easy way to setup the creatures you need) all in one.
I only disliked elves before...

@littlebeast

The reason this has to have you shuffle twice 99% of the time is because the of effects that would allow you to cast this when it is owned by another player. Then you would search your deck but it would shuffle back into your opponent's.

it's like a chord of calling, but cheaper, and potentially more expensive... Love it! Chord goes saprolings, reads "get yourself a mycoloth for close to nothing!" but this has better early game use, all in all very different applications for strikingly similar cards.

This is not broken. Terra Stomper is broken. Maybe this card is more powerful, but at least it dosn't taste broken.

Myr Infinite Mana combo, as others before have stated. 2 Galvanizers to untap the others, and at least 2 mana's worth on Myr on the field and you have infinite mana, however long it takes to tap them all.... Anyway, EACH Zenith has its uses with this (Well, Black and Green are a bit more difficult, but...):

White Sun's Zenith: Instant-speed, infinite 2/2 Cat Tokens.
Blue Sun's Zenith: Instant-speed, infinite draw on opponent to auto-kill, or "draw 20 cards from own deck. Shuffle this back into your deck" at instant-speed, to have them all at the start of your turn.
Black Sun's Zenith: Kill anything and everything on the field. Bit worse with the Myr infinite mana, since all of your Myr die. More of a "you can win with your creatures next turn? No. You can't" use.
Red Sun's Zenith: Um, Demonfire that can be countered, but can reshuffle itself, with infinite damage to enemy while still playing in Standard? Yes, please.
Green Sun's Zenith: Bit harder, since it only snatches GREEN creatures. Still possible, though.

Interestingly enough, the two Phyrexian Zenith cards aren't a good idea with the Myr Infinite Mana combo usually, since they either kill all creatures on the field, including your own, or summon a Green creature. The Mirran ones, however, all rule. Two are instant-speed (meaning INFINITE 2/2 Cats that can attack the next turn! :D), and can royally screw over an enemy, or infinite damage at Sorcery speed to auto-kill an enemy player. The Mirran Zenith cards are brilliantly epic with the Myr infinite mana, while the Phyrexian ones aren't.... That is the definition of "interesting" in Magic.

Highest rated Zenith. Rightly so, but not with infinite mana from Myrs. Myrs aren't green. Although, Myrs can bring mana up FAST. Hello, Progenitus in a Myr deck for Casual or Extended. Oh, wait. I can TUTOR a Progenitus? And change its WWUUBBRRGG cost into (10)G? AND I have INFINITE MANA OF ANY COLOR I WANT, EVEN COLORLESS? Yes, please.

What happens when you cast Kalni Hydra with this card? Do you only have to pay the reduced amount still deducted from Kalni Hydra as the converted cost?
Salient
★★★★★ (5.0/5.0) (2 votes)
Dryad Arbor lives directly underneath the Green Sun, apparently. I like that casting this card for Variable Colorless=0 isn't dead.

@ Kalatash: Yes, two shuffles, for somewhat daft reasons. The card Comandeer lets an opponent take control of this spell. Unless you'd want your opponent to shuffle your card into their library, the shuffle effect has to be written twice, or else Commandeer would let them sort of literally steal your card. :)

I think there's a rule in the Comprehensive Rules somewhere that says if you'd shuffle multiple times without intervening stuff happening, you and your opponents can agree to just shuffle in an obvious/appropriate way.

The worst "do I really have to shuffle again" offender was Mind's Desire. Cool card, but resolving it could take fifteen minutes, sometimes. Bleh.

The mathematician/physicist/old-school-astronomer in me loves the perfect use of the obscure-ish word "Zenith" on this cycle of cards.

Beautifully straight forward card: cutting out the middle-man. In essence, whatever green creatures are in your library are the same as being in your hand, no waiting for the perfect draw.
When you play the spell and allocate the “X” mana amount, you’re still not revealing what you may fetch other than the hint based on the amount “X” is (until of course the spell resolves), lol; control deck opponent’s may be like: “oh crap I didn’t know you have something worth that much mana in your deck to fetch, I better counter before I find out”.

Heavy counter decks will have to work just a little bit harder to rid themselves of your actual cre spells. Countering/preventing Green Sun’s Zenith still leaves you with your actual cre spell snug and waiting in your library.

Darn, if it wasn't banned in Modern, it would be much more of a fun place. I was thinking something like:

T1: Razorverge Thicket, Steppe Lynx
T2: Misty Rainforest, sac it for a Forest, play 2 of this card (X is 0), find 2 Dryad Arbors, and swing with your 8/9.

There could be a new archetype :)

Essentially this card gives you 4 (or more) extra copies of whichever creature would best suit you at the time you cast it.

No reason not to throw 4 of these in any deck that has green creatures.

Also: Painter's Servant

★★☆☆☆ (2.8/5.0) (2 votes)
So, its basically a green creature only tutor for Green, but your forced to cast the creature right away, and it also robs casting effects like Bloodbraid Elf.

Take notes wizards, 1 cmc tutors make for overpowered cards, no matter how you mask them. Understandable why this was banned, was either this or dryad arbor.

★★★★★ (5.0/5.0) (1 vote)
One of the most underrated aspects of this card are the impact it has on deck building. It saves you space. For example, let's say you run 3 Rafiq in your bant deck, which also runs 3 Sigarda. With this available, you can instead run only one Rafiq, one Sigarda, and three or four Green Sun's Zenith without hurting consistency. In fact, you're probably helping it.

Of course in the example above, I only mentioned two creature cards. In actual gameplay, you can snatch any green creature from your deck as you see fit. That's the definition of consistency.

In laymen's terms, that means assuming you have three Green Sun's Zenith's, that even one-of's in your deck can be consistently brought into play as if you had four. And four-of's can have the consistency of an eight-of with the addition of a fourth Green Sun's Zenith.

Why do they even bother creating and releasing such good cards, if they're planning on having them "BANNED" from tournaments right away?

Also love the way emerald medaillon help this tutor.

With one medaillon, you put the creature for its cost.
With another medaillon, you put the creature for less.

4x tutor, rofellos and azusa. You're sure to have a legend on the battlefield early in the game.

Stupidly good. It's rare that this grabs anything other than a Dryad Arbor, but in an especially long game I saw Progenitus get pulled out by this. Perhaps the best part of it is that you can run just 2 copies and still manage to play it 3 or 4 times in a game.

It's good to often run 2 of your important creatures when running this, as the opponent running any kind of exiling removal will nail your only copy if you're not careful. Also, some decks *want* to run 8 copies of a creature so it can be *very* sure to get it out, this allows this for those archtypes. Even if the first one that you needed gets killed, you have a high chance of being able to nab a second one and continue on with whatever it is your deck does.

Examples include:
Veteran Explorer
Lotus Cobra
noble hierarch

Of course, many decks fill it with utility type 1-ofs:
Viridian Shaman
Acidic Slime
Eternal witness (tutor your grave tutor :D)
scavenging ooze
Xantid swarm

and it can nab finishers that only become important in certain matchups:
-Spiritmonger
-Blastoderm
