Flavorwise, Uktabi Orangutan wouldn't have fit into Mirrodin, but it's CIP ability makes it GREAT in Mirrodin block, so it was turned into this lovely Elf lady.

M11 gave red a functional reprint in Manic Vandal. I much prefer the red version; green stomps on artifacts and enchantments equally usually, whereas red is the one who hates on artifacts alone. Just fits flavor-wise better in red.

A very very important card when Mirrodin was in Standard. Many decks main decked it, as you were never wanting for targets for it. It essentially read, "destroy target permanent" again Affinity, which was the dominant deck for some time.

I hesitate to say that, Viridian Corrupter is 'strictly' better.

But that might not always be true.

The difference between 2/2 for , and can be quite important sometimes.

With that said, I find the extra mandatory to be worth it, in this case at least.
