Amazing card - especially in a set using the Cascade ability. And there are still a lot of other things you can do with this card - triggering cip-effects a second time (see ZEvilMustache's comment), put your opponent's creature on top of his library with cards like Dominus of Fealty, etc... I guess both Johnny and Timmy love that card :D

Really beefy early on, but the tempo loss that results from having to bounce one of your own creatures and losing your next card draw shouldn't be overlooked. Good with the right cards, but could end up screwing its player over in a Terminate-rich environment - bounce a creature for this guy, guy gets Terminated, and you've just set yourself back a turn.

A fun card that I can see both casual and tournament level players employing. The easiest way to get him out is with Birds or Hierarch on turn 1. If you can get him to stick, he's quite a beating. While Terminate or Terror is a good answer, Path to Exile's extra land somewhat compensates the tempo loss of returning a creature and losing this beast.

This Beast Rocks. I dont mind one bit the bounce back a creature on top of my library at all, since i have Elvish Visionary, Coiling Oracle, Wistful Selkie in my deck. Favor Of The Overbeing on this beast beats hard, and if you want to really make your opponent suffer put Shielding Plax and Favor Of The Overbeing on Nulltread Gargantuan. All though I personally like to put this auras on Lorescale Coatl.

Love this card. Sometimes it backfires tho. Is really great if you can get it out within the first three turns of the game or like ZEvilMustache said, with a card like Coiling Oracle that has a triggered ability when played, especially cascade like Mode said. He's great with any creature that has graft like Aquastrand Spider(graft 2), which could be played on turn two and then play the gargantuan on turn three, turn it into a 7/8, and recycle the spider onto the top of your library for the next gargantuan to use. :D

Can also let you re-use a creature for where ancients tread. Everyone seems to love cascade these days.

Turn 1 Forest and Noble Hiearch. Turn 2 any land, cast nulltread and bounce the hierach. Turn 3 any land hierach and any other 1 or 2 mana exalted creatures and attack with a 7/8 nulltread. (8/9 if you can have 2x other 1 mana exalted's aside from your starting hiearch)

cadenblade in your scenario the 0/0 spider would die instantly due to having 0 strength killing the creature as a state-based condition, and after that you would have to return the beast to your hand if it's the only creature under your control at that time.
And yes, this dude rocks. Play it on turn 2, return Llanowar Elves to your hand. Turn 3 play land, put Shielding Plax on beast and start wailing on your opponent.

Actually only thing that doesn't work on cadenblades scenario is putting those 2 counter on gargantuan as graft only lets you move 1 every time another enter bf.

Just choose a token, which vanishes. Then you don't waste the draw, if you do lose tempo.

With khalni garden from worldwake, you can bounce your 0/1 plant token for no tempo loss, and a 5/6 for 3 mana.
This is of course also ignoring other cards you probably won't mind reusing such as coiling oracle.

Combo withGarruk's Packleader and Lorescale Coatl? Play him, put his ability on the stack, returning himself to the top of the library, put the card drawing ability from the Packleader on the stack, draw the card, and get a counter for the Coatl?
Maybe it's a stretch. But it's +2/+2 every turn for three mana and no tempo loss.
A fun little combo with this guy is Mystic Snake...recurring counterspells!! Also add Murkfiend Liegefor some more fun and stompage. Comes out on 2nd turn with a Birds of Paradise or elves for that matter. LOL... I remember when cards like Juzam Djinn were considered powerful.

Very playable card, also works well when enchanted with Favor of the Overbeing for a 7/8 Flying/Vigilance very early in the game. Then keep swinging for the win and counter any threats with Mana Leak and Spell Pierce

Also nice with some temporary steal effect, like ray of command. Steal their creature, attack. Then play this guy, and put their creature back on top of their library.

OO, wow, I don't think I have ever seen a power/CMC ratio like thi, just incredible. That drawback can be turned into an advantage on many "comes into play" card.

I like this card, it fits into the curve of some cascade cards, and it can let you recycle the cascade mechanic. Which is pretty damn good for this block.

It also combo's with Conundrum Sphinx. Cast Nulltread Gargantuan before Conundrum Sphinx attacks and then you'll know what to name.

It's draw back isn't as bad of a draw back as one might think. It s a 5/6 beater on turn 3, and can get back summon trigger cards easily. Something like this could happen on the first few turns.
Turn 1: Islands > Ponder /or/ Halimar Depths Layout: Do whatever with the other two, make sure THIS card is two or more cards from the top. If you play with Option 2, make sure he is the third card down, underneath a Land card.
Turn 2 Option 1: Forest > Wood Sage Layout: Tap Island and Forest for , then play Wood Sage. Declare the name "Nulltread Gargantuan" and place him onto the field, return Wood Sage to the top of the deck.
Turn 2: Option 2: Forest > Coiling Oracle Layout: Tap Island and Forest for , then play Coiling Oracle. Put the Land onto the battlefield (because you chose to put the land there).
Turn 3: Play This card and target Coiling Oracle.
This is a nice trigger refresh ability for GREAT attacking skill.

With this card and Garruk's Packleader which triggers first? Would you draw a card and then place a creature on top of the library? Or put the creature and then immediately draw it?

Crystallization was pretty good in Alara block Limited. This was one of the best answers to an opponent crystallizing one of your early drops, and is still pretty good at helping you shake off some negative enchantments or counters.

What's that, Mr. Gragantuan? Nullbifter? Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of all my card advantage!!!
Sure it requires a very lucky draw, but I'm pretty sure, unless I'm missing something, that it is possible.

This guy fits in very well with a blue/green deck comprising "comes into play" targets. I enjoy targeting Mystic Snake, as you essentially get to topdeck a counterspell/chump blocker.

As previously stated, use tokens. A Khalni Garden or equipment with Living Weapon is my favorite option, since you don't burn a card producing the token.
The other possibility is stealing an opponent's early creature with a card like Legacy's Allure or Tolarian Entrancer to bounce the dork to the top of THEIR library. Probably harder to pull off, but really mean.
@supernator: You cast this, both abilities trigger simultaneously and you get to put them on the stack in whatever order you choose; you can draw a card first and then put a creature you control on top of your library, or you can put a creature you control on top of your library and then proceed to draw it.
My favourite card to go with this is definitely Coiling Oracle, although Mystic Snake is also quite a nice candidate for a reset.
Anybody smart will understand that this card is amazing. Its like Leatherback Baloth, but a simic twist. Noobs will think that returning a card to your hand is bad, but it's totally worth a 5/6 creature.

Khalni Garden is a good start. Interesting to note that unless you combine it with something like Coiling Oracle, he's actually card disadvantage; although he happens to be huge; which helps.
