Who says you need to sac your eldrazi spawn tokens?

This will be so insane with edrazi spawns: you can tap them and sac them for mana to cast this. Awakening Zone ftw

Modo won't let it use Rosheen's mana for it :(

This really is one of the best creature fetch spells in the game! You can tap out at the end of your opponent's turn for something nasty! I use this card all the time with Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and Seedborn Muse. This is solid gold with any of the titans...

My favorite card in all of Magic, period. I once have a Chord of Calling deck that I still recall fondly to this day, after having built more than a hundred decks. The deck plays a good early defense (Birds, Sakura-Tribe and Farseek into Carven Caryatids and Loxodon Hierarchs), and then it either Chord for something awesome (all the way up to Angel of Despair) or go all insane with Izzet Chronarch, Kiki-Jiki and Ghostway. Finally there's Sensei's Divining Top to go with all the shuffle effects, and a number of Ravnica's favorite multicolored spells. I won a few FNMs with this deck, but more importantly, the deck was incredibly fun to play. You got Yosei out? One sec, lemme Chord a Clone... wait, now what? Ghostway-ing an Angel, a Loxodon and a Wall in response to a Wrath of God; Chord up a Kami of False Hope to Fog and follow that by a Savage Twister; this deck's done all that.
Note that Chord would have lost a lot of its charm if it were a Sorcery. Being locked out of the game by counterspells and Wraths is certainly not fun, and at Sorcery speed that is exactly what would have often happened.

Green Sun's Zenith has nothing on this card. Seriously, with all of the mana and creature ramp that green has (creature tokens), this has got to be the best creature search cards ever!

Also, Green Sun's Zenith is a sorcery. This? Instant. So, for an extra GG, you basically give the tutored creature flash if it didn't already have it (or, depending on how you look a this, G for flash, and another G to account for the convoke option).
This is why I love Selesnya, small creatures and big creature working together so well.

This card turns your deck into a toolbox. Run a playset of 4 and then fill your deck with 1 or 2 copies of other creatures with different abilities. You can then put whatever creature into play would be most helpful, increasing your decks flexibility and flavor. Toss in some Eldrazi spawn tokens and you can pretty much get out any creature you want consistently. Very powerful card in a well constructed deck.

dramatic entry and natural order both trump this, particularly the former becayse it is more efficient to ramp mana than creatures. imo convoke is a weak mechanic in the rapid pace of 2013 metagames. Also not sure why this comment is in italics, weird glitch.

Whoa!
Just in the last month, this card's price has jumped 50%, it's now a €15/$20 card and the second most expensive in R:CoG after Bob!!!

So here's a question: If you have Eldrazi Spawn, can you tap them for convoke AND sacrifice them for mana to cast the same spell? If so, this is probably one of the simplest ways to cheat an Eldrazi out from anywhere in your deck...

Fortunately, unlike Zenith, it doesn't do anything early enough in a game to be banned in Modern.

This card is much better then Genesis Wave or Wargate or even Green Suns Zenih because it's a bloody instant! Not to mention the convoke that makes all Your creatures into llanowar elves.

I play a mono-green Azusa EDH deck as my main and realize how absolutely ridiculous this card is, but dang, it was $8 when I first started constructing the deck one year ago and now it's shot up to $30! This is from 2005, so what drove up the price; did this just Top 8 in a Modern tournament or something?

This is an excellent card. It really shines in casual and Commander decks where pumping out lots of creatures is easier to do. Being able to tap your team, search up Dauntless Escort and sacrifice it in response to a Wrath is absurdly powerful, and that's if you're stuck doing that over something else.

In my Bant Ramp deck, I use Wargate because it's way cheaper. But, on the flip side, my deck is different from decks that use this. Why? Because now I can snatch permanents. This is a huge bonus because I can grab any answer, not just a creature. If I need Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, BAM! he is there!
