Osmodius, nice combo!! this is totally unnecessary, but if you really feel like rubbing it in their face even more, you could throw in a Disciple of the Vault just for evil laughter's sake :D hahahaha

Mycosynth lattice + Crafty Pathmage + Emmissary of Despair = Punch in the face!! you could throw in a master transmuter, mycosynth golem, and a few fabricates just for the fun of it too. :D I have a deck that proudly uses this card. Further more, you could toy with them by hitting your opponent once with Emissary of Hope and then play Phyrexian Processor for some mean tokens that would make any green deck jealous. }:D hahahaha

Whenever my opponent was boasting a colour matters deck during Shadowmoor, I'd just flash this to them and their face would lose all colour (no pun intended) Also, was my cure for Alara, it quickly turned the obstacle of gold into an unrealistically cheap play.

Is a land's CMC 0? I've got an idea for a land destruction combo involving Mycosynth Lattice and Glissa Sunseeker, and if a land's CMC is zero, all I'd need to do to destroy a land a turn would be to tap Glissa. FYI, not my only land destruction combo in this deck, just one.

Should also have made all permanents have 'fungus' type. After all... that's what the name (myco-) and art mean. Basically, I want thallids to ultimately become more powerful than elves or goblins or whatever.

Wait...
Planeswalker + Enchanted Evening + Mycosynth Lattice + March of the Machines + Conspiracy + Life and Limb = EVERY PERMANENT TYPE.

Also, Mycosynth Lattice + March of the Machines = All lands destroyed. Or, if you have Master of Etherium, only your opponents'.

So I'm a wee bit confused on the Master Transmuter combo mentioned above. Mostly because I want to use it.

It states that all Permanents are Artifacts, and also states that all cards not in play (including Permanents, like, in my hand?) are colorless. Does that mean If I have, say, some random green creature in my hand, it's colorless AND an artifact, or just colorless?

I'm curious, if this is played and a card such as Darkest Hour , which effect works? Is everything black, or is everything colorless?
Gelzo
☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0)
Huh. I guess red really did have a way to kill enchantments before Liquimetal Coating.

Of course, that's making the rather large assumption that your mono-red deck can afford to wait until turn 7 to deal with an enchantment that's been bugging you.

@DacenOctavio: Emrakul, The Aeons Torn is already vulnerable to Oblivion Ring since Oblivion Ring's ability is activated when it comes into play. When the enchantment comes into play it is no longer a spell and is now considered permanent which which is a card type that Emrakul, The Aeons Torn is vulnerable to. This means that Emrakul, The Aeons Torn vulnerable to abilities of permanents for example, you can target it with the deathtouch combo using Cunning Sparkmage and Basilisk Collar or using Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker's second ability, -2: Gain control of target creature, or using Sarkhan the Mad's second ability, -2: Target creature's controller sacrifices it, then that player puts a 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying onto the battlefield, or anything like that. Emrakul, The Aeons Torn is also vulnerable to other abilities that don't target creatures as they are cast such as abilities activated when the card is cycled such as tapping it while you cycle Choking Tethers. This is of course what I THINK the wording of the protection means of Emrakul, The Aeons Torn so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Energy Flux. Excellent end-game shutdown, supposing you have creatures out and your opponent doesn't. The assumed use for this would be if your opponent was trying to ramp his way up to Emrakul or what-have you.

Never gonna happen. Wizards HATES combo decks. Hence the banning of both Ponder and Preordain in Modern AND Extended. They diluted decks enough so people were getting their combos of too reliably.

My blue artifact deck is like built around this card, and i didnt even do it on purpose, this card allows me to use Legacy Weapon, Door to Nothingness, and with Darksteel Forge you can use Nevinyrral's Disk and wipe your opponents entire feilds without loosing anything including Nevinyrral's Disk so you can do it every turn if you wanted and for only 1 mana why not. And now with a Unwinding Clock I can not only wipe my opponents field every turn but I can remove what ever I want from the game with Legacy Weapon, the people I play with hate my blue artifact deck it awesome.

Best combos I could come up with:

Hurkyl's Recall: Return all permanents target player owns to his or her hand.

Shattering Spree: Anything that can produce mana becomes "Tap: destroy target permanent" (All in separate spells)

I run both cards in an artifact control deck I'm working on, works great when the lattice hits the field.

Mycosynth Lattice
Darksteel Forge
Nevinyrral’s Disk
Unwinding Clock

Equals…well hell I don’t know what it equaled but it was kind of like dividing by zero. So over the course of much mana, Lattices and Forges my game ended like this...

Me: Going to drop Nevinyrral’s Disk and…
Buddies: There are five of us man. We’ll kill you by the time your turn comes back around.
Me: …Unwinding Clock.
Buddies: O_O

At the end of my next buddies turn: Destroy your boards please.

At the start of my next turn: Hydra Omnivore. What? This way I don’t have to beat on you guys separately. You can always cast a one drop or something with your one land…*sarcasmsarcasmdouchbaggery*…oh wait, no you can’t. *taps Nevinyrral’s Disk*

At the start of my next turn, just to be a total dick: Platinum Emperion. What, you guys might get a 1/1 down...oh wait no you won't. *taps Nevinyrral’s Disk*

EDH question regarding this card... "Players may spend mana as thoughit were mana of any color." Mine is Sen Triplets, so could I generate red and green mana I may need if this were out, or will it still only give me colorless mana?

theNinja-degozaru - "EDH question regarding this card... "Players may spend mana as thoughit were mana of any color." Mine is Sen Triplets, so could I generate red and green mana I may need if this were out, or will it still only give me colorless mana?"

The Lattice doesn't change what mana you can generate, only how you use that mana. So in the case of Sen Triplets you can still only tap a City of Brass for W, U, B, or 1, but you can use that mana as if it were green or red.

As far as I know the only card in EDH that let's you use other colors of mana. The only reason you might want to is if someone else was playing a Zedruu EDH and they donated you some stuff, or you just confiscated someone's else's thing

Put it in a Green deck. Now Naturalize has become a Vindicate for one less mana. Green ramp makes this accessable early and has access to a ton of artifact destruction and you can even splash other colors due to the any color mana clause and abuse even more.

How does this work with Shifting Sky, Painter's Servant, Celestial Dawn, etc.? Is it which ever came into play first, or does this override those effects? I'm assuming the answer to the above would apply to Scuttlemutt, Distroting Lens, X-Lace cards, et al.?

This + Mirrorworks + Any spell that can become a copy of an artifact (a la Sculpting Steel) + Caged Sun + Capsize + Seat of the Synod + Walking Atlas + Pemmin's Aura on the Atlas + Venser’s Journal + Echo Mage + Nightveil Spectre + Worst Fears + Myr Matrix + Sadistic Hypnotist + Pull from Eternity + Swiftfoot Boots + Volition Reins + Krark-Clan Ironworks + Mnemonic Nexus + Arbiter of Knollridge + Rites of Flourishing =

YOU PLAY EVERY SINGLE NON-EXILED-FACE-DOWN CARD YOUR OPPONENTS HAVE BROUGHT TO THE GAME.

Here's how:

With a Mirrorworks on the field, you cast Sculpting Steel on the mirrorworks and pay the two mana, ending up with 3 Mirrorworks total (one actual Mirrorworks, one SS copying the Mirrorworks, and a Mirrorworks token). Then, Capsize the Mirrorworks, paying the buyback cost, and recast it, paying all triggered costs and netting you a total of five Mirrorworks.

Following that, cast the Caged Sun, pay the costs, and put onto the battlefield six Caged Suns (one actual Caged Sun, and five tokens from the mirrorworks), choosing Blue.

Play Seat of the Synod, paying all of your triggered costs, and put six total Seats onto the field, each seat tapping for seven blue mana. Tap the original Seat for seven mana, then Capsize it back into your hand. Tap your Walking Atlas, play your Seat, copy it five more times, repeat.

As long as you keep paying the one blue mana for Pemmin's Aura to untap your Walking Atlas, you can keep playing the Capsized Seat of the Synods from your hand.
Make a billion Seats.
After you have a billion seats, start Capsizing and casting your Caged Sun and Mirrorworks, making a million copies of both.

Our board state currently allows us to make as many copies of any Artifact that enters our battlefield as we have Mirrorworks.

Cast Mycosynth Lattice.

Since any permanent that enters the battlefield at this point will be entering as an Artifact due the the Lattice's ability, you now have the ability to make as many copies of any permanent that enters the battlefield under your control as you have Mirrorworks.

Bear with me, now:

Once you've gone infinite with the combo above, make a few million copies of Venser’s Journal. After a few turns, once you have gained ten million life or so, cast and make a million copies of both Swiftfoot Boots and Nightveil Specter and equip the Specters with the boots.

To play all of the cards your opponents brought, you need to ensure that your opponents’ libraries will contain every card that they brought.

First, play an Echo Mage, make many copies of him, and level them all up four times. Then, cast Worst Fears and use your Echo Mages to copy it once for every opponent.

Cast Glaring Spotlight to bypass any hexproof creatures on the field, pass the turn, and for each opponent, cast their commander. On your following turn, cast Volition Reins and make as many copies of it as your opponents have permanents.

You now have all of your opponents' permanents, their commanders, and their hatred.

Now, cast Myr Matrix and then Sadistic Hypnotist. Make a million Myr with the Matrix, and sacrifice enough of them with the Hypnotist to force your opponents to discard their hands.

Now, sacrifice all of their non-commander permanents with the Krark-Clan Ironworks, and if any players happen to have any exiled cards in their exile zones, cast a Pull From Eternity and copy it once for each card in exile using your Echo Mages from before.

Once you have ensured that all the cards they own are either in their graveyards or their library, cast a Mnemonic Nexus, then cast an Arbiter of Knollridge (which will make all of your opponents' life totals equivalent to YOUR life total, which is somewhere in the millions due to the Venser's Journals from before), cast Rites of Flourishing and copy it a thousand times, then swing with all of the Nightveil Spectres.

EVERY CARD THAT THEY BROUGHT TO THE GAME IS NOW YOURS TO COMMAND, AND WITH A FIVE-COLOR GENERAL, YOU CAN PLAY AND COPY ANY OF THEIR PERMANENTS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT. ALSO, EVERYONE HATES YOU FOR PLAYING SUCH A DUMB COMBO.
