It's about time they made another effect like this. But yeah, it requires artifact lands for optimal effectiveness. It makes me want to make a multiplayer clock deck with Grindclock and some other bells and whistles.

This card will finally give me a chance to try a good standard mill deck.

Because this block needs MORE artifact pump.

Since even the debut of Scars and it's Tumble Magnet and Steel Hellkite, I've been wanting to make an artifact control deck for standard. And here is the final piece of that puzzle.

Epic in scars limited, won me a tournament by itself almost. (Tempered Steel did the rest.)

Totaly dropping a few of these in with my Myr deck.

Cards like these are very elegantly crafted. Near worthless in some decks, absolutely gamebreaking in other decks.

Umm, Time Vault anyone? Even Magistrate's Scepter is ridiculous. So many crazy uses, mostly because there are so many crazy, broken artifacts.

Mycosynth Lattice, Untap everything you control every turn...

I can't beleive this doesn't have more votes. In of itself its poor but since when do artifacts stand alone?

Mana Vault
Grim Monolith
Basalt Monlith
And these are just mana rocks...

Ultimate turn 1 accel. Island, Mana Vault, Voltaic Key, untap Vault 1 floating + 3, cast Unwinding Clock pass...

Darksteel Forge, 1 mana making manarock, Nevinyrral's Disk = board wipe on every players turn

So how do multiple work? Can you stack them, or do they both happen at once... could i tap artifact land that were untapped by one, and then have them untap again from the second one?

Does anyone know, if you have more than 1 of these out, can you tap artifacts between each one activating?

From the FAQ: "Even if you control more than one Unwinding Clock, you'll only untap your artifacts once during each other player's untap step."

Combine with Grindclock to mill during every other player's upkeep :D

Having two of these is redundant, for two reasons:

1. Players don't get priority during the untap step. Even if the game had a way of tracking two instances of "you untap your stuff" separately, you wouldn't be able to do anything in between them.

2. This card doesn't have a triggered ability; it modifies the game rules for what happens in the untap step. (If it did have a triggered ability, it would wait to be put onto the stack until your opponent's upkeep step.) So there isn't the same opportunity to exploit a spot between abilities resolving in the way that you could with multiple copies of, say, Amulet of Vigor.

Short answer: No, you can't tap your artifacts off of one of these and have another one untap them again.

@ Multihunter

That is a good question... If it is a triggered ability, then yes, you can tap between the 2 clocks resolving. However, its worded almost like its static. Anyone know if this is static, or triggered???

If you're running an artifact deck with these in, it won't hurt to throw in a few Pristine Talisman to synergize. Goes great the more players you have.

Scepter of Empires, Crown of Empires and Throne of Empires...So sweet to use this card with in a game. Just don't know what to put them with. Any ideas?

Combos with artifacts that tap.

This is a really savage card in an artifact dominated deck. Particularly one filled with fun cards like Steel Overseer, the artifact lands and the Alara dual mana artifacts, and basically any artifact creature worth attacking with that lacks vigilance.

Apart from the obvious mana - ramp artifacts and lands try Vedalken Orrery. Don't forget some monster card draw because your hand may empty VERY quickly. Temporal Aperture is a good option too.

Friend of mine once ran a deck with 4 of these in. Somewhat awkward.

It also had Steel Overseer. Upsetting!

BUT WAIT! He then ran Isochron Scepter, as he has no soul.

The spell for the Scepter?

Counterspell.

And don't forget Seat of the Synod and friends.

He only played it a few times before disassembling it rapidly, before the mob caught up with him.

Mycosynth Lattice makes every creature you control an artifact creature. Attack each turn. Block opponent's creatures their turn. Practically like Vigilance.

This card is broken for artifact decks in my opinion, not counting that it untaps artifact lands. How is it that nobody has mentioned Staff of Domination yet?

Ever gotten frustrated that your Spectral Searchlight could only help one player and not everyone? ;)

the backbone of my artifact deck. it basically gives all your artifact creatures vigilance and untaps all artifact mana sources like darksteel ingot or pristine talisman. why the community rating is under four is totally beyond me. works great with steel overseer, etched champion, and darksteel juggernaut

This + One with Nothing + Isochron Scepter + Hive Mind = makes opponents discard their hands after they draw!! You can even tap all of your lands on your turn!
