This is a neat card, and I'm always drawn to cards dealing with enchantments; However, in regard to Brunsbr's deck idea, Enchanted Evening will not allow you to function like that. It only affects permanents in play, not cards in your library.

@brunsbr103: Enduring Ideal does not target, so how exactly does it combo with Mirror Sheen?

Enduring Ideal can't combo with Mirror Sheen. It does not target anything. A card like Yavimaya Enchantress is great with this deck if you have Enchanted Evening in it. Ancestral Mask is also a great addition. Before playing the epic card, when you have Enchanted Evening out, try Wrap in Vigor and then Tranquility or Leave No Trace.

This is so fun to combo with hive mind, if you can get it out your opponent will have to deal with the Epic ability too! to make things more fun use an Enchanted Evening and an Aura Fracture to have complete control over your opponent. It's not like you'll be using too many lands after the epic ability resolves, and if you need more enchanted evening lets you fetch them whenever you need them!
The only bad parts about this card is it's high mana cost and that you need to build your deck around it to use it well...
I had mirror sheen in the comments before, appologies for a faulty combo.

Okay this would be awesome as the core to an all enchantment deck. About 45 cards in size running 4 of these. First priorty is to cast this as fast as possible, I recomand Dark Ritual and Remote Farm. Mulligan to make sure you have a good start hand. Then first thing you search is forSterling Grove. Turn two of Epic pull out a second Sterling Grove. 3: get Everlasting Torment. 4: pull out Transcendence at this point you can't die except by deck fliping or by a card that destroys all enchantments in play. 5: VERY IMPORANT Dragon Appeasement after all you can't play spells so haveing enchanments in hand aren't going to help you anymore. 6,7,8,9: pull out your 4 copies of Necra Sanctuary for the win. If you want run other fun enchanments in mass like Hondens. Just make sure you have 4copies of your early enchaments incase you accidently start with them in your start hand. Crazy set of plays that usually leave your opponent jaw dropped also goood for a few loughs.

@crazycombatcarl good idea. instead of dragon appeasement use words of worship. you can skip a draw and gain life for one mana. also it eliminates the only red card in your combo. you could make this deck mainly white too, replacing your necra sanctuarys with sigil of the empty throne. this will help you if your opponents play a tranquility type card because your source of damage isn't wiped out now. honestly i would run 4 of both. also throwing some armadillo cloaks on those angels plus putting at least one greater auramancy in. maybe a felidar sovereign?

My Enduring Ideal deck runs Hive Mind. Lol. I'll force Enduring Ideal on to my opponents (who more often than not or not running Enchantment decks). You don't want Sigil of the Empty Throne. Sigil only works when you actually play the enchantment, not when you just pop one on to the battlefield.
Paradox Haze as far as I've seen is by far most effective, especially in a duel. Dovescape is a popular choice and usually followed up with Mind Cage. Yeah, yeah, so on, whatever.
I think this is the silliest epic spell because you build a deck around a card that cost 7 mana.... a narrow, curve ball, deck. Anyone packinganswers, has plenty of time to rockyourworld.

"Haha, you can't play any more spells this game? That's a terrible card!" *Ideal searches up Form of the Dragon, then Mystic Decree* "...good game."
@Enchantment_Removal: World = Sengir Bats... Best enchantment hate ever *thumbs up*. Of all permanent bouncing cards... why resounding wave when Into the roil and Boomerang are so much better? Why would you worry about them countering your stuff (i.e. Boseiju) when they can't even cast spells? I do however agree that reduce to dreams and Aura Barbs hose the deck... that is, unless they bring out Energy Field to stop damage or Enchanted evening so that the opponent doesn't want to wipe their own board in the process.
Slap down one Epic spell, then before it resolves, quicken, then put another Epic spell on the stack. By the time one resolves, the other one's already been cast, and is not affected by "You can't cast spells". This has been confirmed by a MTG customer support representative via email.

The best of the Epic spells, a sadly unimpressive cycle considering how awesome they could have been.

Cool Combo:
In worldwake, seven lands isn't very tricky, and if you use Terra eternal along with a lot of cards like Celestial Collonade, well... you get my point.
"Haha, you can't play any more spells this game? That's a terrible card!" *Ideal searches up Form of the Dragon, then Mystic Decree* "...good game." More likely, they won't just say "good game", they'll say "Lava Axe targeting you... good game"
And what's with everyone giving love to Enchanted Evening? Why the heck do you care that permanents are enchantments? Doesn't do anything for Ideal.
As for you people with a blanket rule of "First turn always pull...Sterling Grove, Dovescape, etc."... There is no rule about your first turn except that on the first turn, you react to what's on the board and make sure you get a second turn. That could mean an Oblivion Ring or a Faith's Fetters or Meishin, the Mind Cage. Then probably a Zur's Weirding so you can see your opponent's hand and make sure they can't kill you when you pull Form of the Dragon.
Seriously, I wonder if any of you ever played an Ideal deck before with your card selection and "rules" about what you grab first.

Never heard of Epic cards before but one thing's for sure: they are EPIC.
You only need form of the dragon, Phyrexian unlife, and Dovescape MB. Actually, add an oblivion ring to smack emrakuel. If your running see beyond you should only need 2* FotD + Unlife, and 1* Dovescape + o-ring. Throw in mistveil plains for added security and so you can just deck lifegain (if they somehow manage to gain 10+ life a turn). Meishin, the mind cage is only useful against infect when compared to unlife... Which isn't a deck.

I understand that WotC only wants emblems for planeswalkers, but this cycle should totally be errated to give the player an emblem with the epic ability. I mean, there are only five of them in the game, and the keyword is called "Epic," so I think they deserve it.
At the beginning up your upkeep search your library for theros and put it into play

If you're casting any of the Epic spells, make sure to use Chandra, the Firebrand first so that 2 keep going off, as the initial copy will get epic as well. This also goes for any other fork effect on the initial casting of an epic spell.

Now that we have the ten (and soon fifteen) Gods of Theros, this card became the centerpiece for my WUBRG Child of Alara/Progenitus EDH deck. You can use Form of the Dragon and Phyrexian Unlife to make sure you can't lose, toss out a bunch of Shroud-giving stuff like Greater Auramancy and such, and then lastly grab things such as Propaganda for that last layer of protection. By the way, use Island Sanctuary to stop drawing cards. Once you start grabbing gods, it's all downhill from there. Aside from having a TON of enchantments on the board, if all 15 gods are on the battlefield, they provide enough devotion to animate each other so you can LITERALLY unleash the power of all the Gods at once on your poor victim.

I'm mainly an EDH player, and I've put together a deck list with 41 enchantments to make this card go crazy. Obvious inclusions, Paradox Haze for double the pleasure, Form of the Dragon, Dovescape and Phyrexian Unlife to never die, and a bunch of other cheeky pieces as well. My win-con is Eidolon of Countless Battles from Born of the Gods, slapped with an Ethereal Armor and Daybreak Coronet. Some of the cheeky enchantments are auras that steal permanents. There are also a bunch of non-enchantment pieces to help fish out pieces I need; tutors and creatures like Academy Rector. I'm excited to get all the pieces together and test it out.

Can be very good in the right decks. Great for slower, more casual formats, such as EDH. I know my friend would like this in his Uril deck. I have a Zedruu deck based on controlling the game via enchantments. Clearly needs a deck dedicated to it. Just need something to either stop drawing, or some way to put the card from your hand back into your deck since you cannot cast them after this resolves. Good card but limited in scope. I'd give it a 3.5/5

Interesting. I take back about what I said about how bad this card is. I see what you all mean about how this could be really good in the right kind of deck.
