I suppose this could work, since once you play it you can use the effect whenever. But even then, land sacrifice is a bad thing to do.

U-B-E-R I run one of these in my Enchantment/Pegasus deck.

This is a very solid late-game control card. Not the most amazing card ever, but certainly a potential lifesaver if someone drops a Levitation on the field and is about to kill you with it.

I put it in my enchanted evening deck. After I use a one-sided blow up on their field I use this to kill the lands they play too. Evil.
...yes, I realize those are both cards that combo better with dozens of other cards.

Land sacrifice isn't necessarily bad. Use it in response to yourself casting Planar Birth to trigger even more landfall (targeting itself if need be). Or think up something crazy with cards like Furnace Celebration and Jinxed Ring. Or mitigate the penalty and thin your deck with Knight of the White Orchid type effects.
For sillier ideas because they're fun to think up, get a reliable way to play an enchantment to kill every turn and use Limited Resources to give yourself the advantage in a landfall vs. landfall matchup. Or throw it in if you really hate your friend's Gilt-Lief Archdruid deck and want to irritate them? o_O

Yeah! F-you lands! and Enchantments.
Could be comboed. But is it worth it?

"Ha, what are you going to do now? Your enchantment deck is useless while i have this in play since i can destroy all your enchantments that you put down and i've got a lot of lands coming up due to Scouting Trek!"
Opponent uses mindslaver, in respons you sac a land to destroy aura fracture? :)
I realize it was a pun, but comoon too obvious.

Great card if used with something like Terravore or Worm Harvest.

My playgroup occasionally plays a semi-pauper EDH (Allowed 5 rares / mythic rares including your general) one of my rares is, obviously crucible of the worlds. This card can work particularly well, if for nothing else than the fact it's repeatable and can deal with an entire type of card, also in EDH eventually you'll end up hitting a point where your land is just getting out of control and fills up half the table. I like to be able to clear it up occasionally. In the format I use it in, it's easily a 4/5 but in other formats the most I can see giving this is really a 2.5/5, in most instances a disenchant would be more usable. Will give it a 3/5 overall.
