They aren't square dancing..... they're folk dancing!

From those days when Wizards decided that every card should get its own creature type. Crazy days.

Gatherer screwed up, instead of both versions of the Folk, it only has one version displayed twice!

No, it's the same picture twice, but the different flavor text makes the versions different.

Hey, it's a homelands card I wouldn't be horribly depressed to have in my deck!
Not that it's all that great, but hey, it's a one drop.

...shouldn't they be Citizens? Like those white citizen tokens you can put into play with cards like Sarpadian Empires, Vol VII.

These guys remind me of Ezuri's Archers. Or maybe the archers remind me of these guys... These guys really arent that bad. Pretty solid against agro decks and can beat down as well. Im glad i found them :D

Undisputed weirdness aside for a second: Two versions with different flavor texts, but the same artwork? That's ingenious! :D I'd like that done on a bunch of new cards. It makes trading/collecting more interesting, your playset gets more distinguishable too, and all that without confusing players with multiple artworks. At least that's some neat design from Homelands for once!

It's a shame the Homelands design team didn't see fit to put a cost-effective 3-power creature or three into the set for this to defend against in the early turns.

Disturbingly powerful for a bunch of random townspeople. Reasonably dangerous blocker.

A sample list of cards who die to the power of DANCE when attacking
Elite Vanguard, Devoted Retainer, Kird Ape, Loam Lion: Well trained soldiers (bushido or not) and creatures with the help of the land are still not strong enough to resist DANCE!
So yes, it is a amazing a bunch of dancing townsfolk can match the power of so many things out there in the Magic world!

Hey, it's a one-drop that can kill a creature with 3 toughness. Not a masterwork by any means, but fairly decent, I'd say.
Also, do I have the impression this flavor text is a bit... discriminatory?

Summon Folk of An-Havva...
Well apparently they're somewhat good at chump blocking.. I mean taking down a 3/3 is no small feat for a bunch of citizens.

This actually isn't that bad, for a Homelands card. If nothing else, it'll have your opponent thinking about sending something in to attack early on.

At least that's some neat design from Homelands for once!
Captain Sisay, Hanna, Ship's Navigator, Sen Triplets: Weatherlight's ladies and triplets must have joined them to DANCE!
Chandler, Joven: Thieves (from the same set no less) simply cannot resist the allure of DANCE!
Darien, King of Kjeldor, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero, Lovisa Coldeyes: Even great leaders must give way to DANCE!
Haakon, Stromgald Scourge, Corpse Harvester , Heartless Hidetsugu, Hisoka, Minamo Sensei: Powerful zombies, ogres and wizards are confounded by the power of DANCE!
Watchwolf, Anaconda, Bull Hippo, Giant Octopus: Powerful creatures of the wild are unable to break free from the grasp of DANCE!
Benthic Djinn, Bleak Coven Vampires, Beacon Behemoth, Drelnoch: Powerful beings summoned by other planeswalkers simply cannot match the power of DANCE!
Siege-Gang Commander,Goblin Warchief, Lys Alana Huntmaster, Muscle Sliver, : Well-established tribes bow down to the masters of DANCE!
Elite Vanguard, Devoted Retainer, Kird Ape, Loam Lion: Well trained soldiers (bushido or not) and creatures with the help of the land are still not strong enough to resist DANCE!
