Glad to see more of these circulating. Not so glad that it means I'll see that many more of them on the table.

Surprising reprint. I like how they're representing Ajani when he was still on a raging rampage of revenge. IE: In Naya.

I like that they gave Ajani this, Wild Nacatl, and Loam Lion.

Not bad for asecond turn 2/3 or a first turn with a taiga. Was always fun to run one of these over on second turn with a giant growth as a 5/6, the good old days.

this is the red half of the 1 drop pump cycle, as I like to call it. I feel the extra toughness should be an extra power point, instead. It just suits red better.

still, this is a great card, and not only does it suit naya, but it can support jund as well.

If you're not running, say, Taiga this card is still really good. It has been, and pretty much always will be on of the best red 1 drops in decks that are red but typically not mono-red.

I've actually started running one of these in my Green Red 12 Post deck (Sneak Attack instead of Show and Tell), and it works surprisingly well for me. Part of the reason is that it sometimes (i.e. rarely) tricks my opponent into thinking that I'm playing a Zoo deck during turn one, but also because it is an amazing blocker in the early game, saving me against more than one goblin deck in my time.

When I'm against them, though, they really blow through my life points quickly!

One of my favorite cards from earliest days of magic. Used to run 4 in red, green, black land destruction deck with Sedge Troll, Hypnotic Spector, and Ball Lightning 16 creatures plus 4 Dingus Egg, next was 4 sinkhole, 4 stone rain, 4 ice storm, 4 strip mine, 4 birds of paradise and a berserk. Lands 4 tiaga, 4 badlands, 4 bajou, library of Alexandria, 2 swamps, 2 mountain, 2 forest, and lastly a Tabernacle of Pendril Vale. Those were the good old days of magic before the dark times of Kird Ape being banned from tournament play with Hypnotic Spector and Juggernaut. Wizards has always made stupid rule changes and reversed them eventually. I actually know people who left the game over it.
