This and Vigilante Justice alone suddenly make red Humans very relevant.

Go with Boros style army, opponent's days are literally numbered.

Boros Humans/Tokens. This can be an effective finisher at a low cost, though most will probably turn to Burn at the Stake for that. Still an excellent card.

I don't think people quite understand yet how GREAT this card is. Its very very powerful with Thatcher Revolt. R/G is looking like it might be phenomenal. Especially if you make a mechanism to flicker this in a R/G humans deck. Turn three for 4 damage if you have thatcher, this, and a Somberwald Sage

turn two gather the townsfolk, swing with 3/3 champion.
turn three kessig malcontents, 4 damage and swing with a 4/4 champion and 2 1/1s
turn 4 hellrider or hero of oxid ridge, sad opponent.

In closing, I believe Red-White Humans are going to become quite the deck in standard.

Boros Humans is going to be the first Standard deck I try with AVR, and these guys will be front and center. Throw in these guys, a bunch of humans, four copies of Cloudshift and some utility spells, and you have yourself a deck!

In draft, the Nephalia Smuggler is a pretty ridiculous combo as well.

I love this card. Its my "brew juices" going. I love how much positive interest this card has stoked in "Boros", one of my favorite color combos of all time! (Also consequently the first Magic cards I ever purchased was the Boros theme deck from Ravnica =P).

I want so bad to build around this and I think there are some good pieces for Standard but I keep looking at Boros Swiftblade and wishing I could include him so I think I'll hold off for Return to Ravnica to start brewing R/W Humans. I'm hoping for a reprint =P.

Also, in current Standard look at Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer for a pretty much auto-include. Through in some Sharpened Pitchforks and Hanweir Lancer or Silverblade Paladin for some R/W Human First Strikey goodness. The Pitchfork adds First Strike, adds an additional buff for Humans, and counts towards Metalcraft for Jor Kadeen. I'll say this much, do not underestimate First Strike. I can often be just as effective as having a fist full of "burn" style removal and it gets around hexproof and trumps effects like infect and deathtouch.

humans with Deadeye Navigators. Pair this with the Navigator and shoot your oppoents for tons of damage.

A truly impressive bomb for any human deck. I came across these guys in my box of cards when my niece wanted a human deck. I'll just say that when the early threat of rapidly growing first strikers is followed up by the Malcontents, it makes even buff-infect a little wary. It could have gotten away being a rare and it would still be worth it.
