And ANOTHER strictly better bears. With a supported subtype.

I love the new Human tribal cards, even though it doesn't make much sense, since people hate each other.

Humans have to stick together because they're surrounded by monsters. That's the theme.

On Innistrad, it is either hate each other or hate everything else. The people that hate each other don't stay "people" for long.

Hell, I could be a flavortext writer.

during the prerelease i always made sure to kill this guy before he could do his thing, because in a human deck he has a weird fusion of battlecry/bushido. bushcry? battleshido? either way, seems it could be a dangerous support card, and therefore must be dealt with.

Another staple of green white human tribal decks, along with mirran crusader, gavony township, and angelic overseer.

This is my most favorite Art among the Humans in this set. The leaves are pretty epic. And he buffs up Skinshifter so that when he transforms he can become a 5/5 Rhino with Trample. I'm definitely making a Human Tribal Deck.

Heh, as soon as I heard about the tribes in Innistrad, I thought I was gonna go Spirit, but... I just love the whole Human flavour! Back to back, hunted by unspeakable terrors of the night - I'm definitely siding with the human race this time.

Incredibly solid, he forced me to drop one Accorder Paladin to make them a three of, of each.

Give him either Hexproof with the boots and/or give him some sort of indistructabilty and he will stay around for ever . This is really really fun with a human specific deck or a white green deck with Ascorder Paladin or Hero of Oxid Ridge .

Hamlet Captain + Vetern's Armament + Ton of Human tokens = One badass leading the charge

I only run 4 of these in my W/G Humans standard deck. 4.5/5

I was really hoping that humans would get a "Captain" as well, alongside Drogskol Captain, Diregraf Captain, Stromkirk Captain, and Immerwolf. All Wizards had to do was throw a White mana symbol on there, make the +1/+1 bonus static and give humans you control an ability so long as he was on the field. Maybe Vigilance? I mean, it's not as if that would be broken considering Intangible Virtue does that for tokens. I don't imagine all of your humans having vigilance being too bad considering that Sentinel Sliver (which came RIGHT after this block) does exactly that for Slivers and costs the same as this guy mana-wise.

@zeritanos they did that apparently to show how badly humans were losing to monsters. Makes sense, though I wound't mind a human captain, standing infront of a mob

A kind of alternate Bushido. I don't think it's an accident that this guy's art looks like a samurai.
