Seems alright, but 'Human Stompy' just seems so silly.

He seems rather composed and clam despite his predicament. I guess he's bonkers though.

exactly what green white humans want, ways to sack doomed traveler and avacyn's collar.

Exactly what green red werewolves want, cheap but relevant cost activations.

Perfectly shows humanity's ascension into darkness and the plot of the set.

Art style evokes horror, while showing how the card mechanics would work in reality.

A perfect card.

This guy makes me feel that Uncle Istvan would feel right at home in Innistrad...

Commander Review: By itself not strong enough. If you have something like 12 or more humans in your deck AND a deck that works with +1/+1 counters in some way, then adding it might make sense.

Not as cool as Deranged Hermit, mostly because Squirrels are clearly more awesome than Humans.
Not as cool as Melira, Sylvok Outcast, mostly because it can't be used in degenerate combos and because Melira doesn't afraid of anything poisonous.
Not as cool as Deranged Assistant, mostly because Davvol is right there beside Garl. They're like spirit-bros or something, and that's cool.
Not as cool as Dragonmaster Outcast, mostly because it doesn't spit out 5/5 flying creatures that are made of awesome. No, instead of spitting out cool creatures, it eats its puny Human allies for lunch and apparently couldn't care less.
Wait, that's cool.

I did two Sealed events on saturday. The first one I had good cards, an insane curve and a good bomb.

The second one, I had 13 humans, this and a murder of crows.

I did substantially better with the first one. But when I did win in the second sealed it was so hilariously funny...I'll take a 20/20 murder of crows that allows me to loot whenever I sac a creature.

This card isn't great, but it sure is fun.

Soylent +1/+1 counters are made out of people.

You know, with the right stuff around him this guy is beast. I was playing him in my human deck with Thraben Doomsayer , Mikaeus, The Lunarch , Mentor of the Meek, and a Gavony Township. So i was producing a human, drawing a card, sacrificing said human and then using Mikaeus and the Township to give +2/+2 to all my creatures and one lucky guy would gt +4/+4. Pretty sweet

One of the most severely underrated cards in limited.

I had the good fortune of opening one of these in a draft, and then being passed ANOTHER one late in the pack. Despite a mediocre card pool and my colours being heavily drafted, I managed to throw together a 20-creature, 16-land G/W beats deck that was 80% humans, as well as 80% 2-drops.

Needless to say, I swept the draft. And without a Travel Preparations or Butcher's Cleaver to my name. It was all on the backs of two of these delightful cannibal cooks, pushing through damage like nobody's business.

If all else fails, it can sacrifice itself to boost one of your more useful creatures.
I like it.

Say i sac a doomed traveler with his ability, will i be able to put the counters on the token the traveler pops out?

@vaderstungun yes, because as you pay the cost for this guy, putting his ability on the stack, doomed traveler's ability triggers, then resolves first allowing you to put the counters on the spirit. Hope that helped

@ndrew68, no that's not correct. You put the ability on the stack, choose targets, then pay the cost. The Doomed Traveler's spirit token won't be around at the time when targets are chosen, so it cannot receive the +1/+1 counters.

Is that bag he's sowing made out of human skin?
