I use 3 of him and 3 Unruly Mob in a white/green human deck. When he dies Unruly Mob gets +3/+3. Its quite a killer combo since they're all pretty cheap cards. Plus the art is amazing.

This works very well in Innistrad-style Human decks. Even in soldier decks (alot of good soldiers are human, and he's a soldier as well).
It's a must have for a deck running Champion of the Parish, Unruly Mob and others. You can find great synergy for this kind of setup from Innistrad block only.
I use this in my deck involving Human creatures and tokens, turning into spirit tokens. Gotta love the flavor.

I've won games and drafts with an elder cathar sac to demonmail hauberk and place on a newly flipped thraben militia to swing for a 11/9 white trampler... lol
