Well, it's a bit of a convoluted combo but I'll mention it anyway.
Four Spitemares, a Mogg Maniac, and a Furnace of Wrath.
Shivan meteor a Spitemare, to target a spitemare, to target a spitemare, to target a spitemare, to target a Mogg Maniac, to target an opponent.
Shivan meteor deals double: That's 26. Spitemare then deals double. That's 52. Next spitemare doubles again. That's 104. Another spitemare puts it up to 208. Yet another spitemare puts it up to 416. The Mogg Maniac puts it way up there at 832.
If you add another Furnace, then it's quadrupled to 52/208/832/3328/13312/53248 at each level. A third furnace winds up with a total of 3407872, and four furnaces make it a ridiculous 218103808 damage. Granted, that requires a lot of mana or a lot of shenanigans, but still.
Of course, you could just substitute the Mogg Maniac for the beforementioned Saber Ants and get 416 1/1 ant tokens and then drop a Coat of Arms. But that adds green. Which also incidentally adds in a bit of mana accel which makes the combo a little easier to get.

I think this card had to be a result of the suspend mechanic, someone mentioned "looming threat" and someone said, "huh, did you say meteor?" Also just the thought of casting this spell makes me smile.
Chances are pretty good that your Spitemare will cease to exist. BUT BEFORE IT DOES, it's going to pump that damage up 2^12 again after being doubled by the Gratuitous Violences, the Quests and the Furnaces. The Fire Servant won't really be of any more use to you because it really just served to boost your initial sorcery.
As the first Spitemare waves this world goodbye, it deals 218,103,808 (yes, over 218 million. that's over 9000 by a LOT) damage to your second Spitemare.
As THAT Spitemare bites the dust it's going to do 893,353,197,568 damage to a third one.
When THAT Spitemare kicks the bucket it's going to do 3,659,174,697,238,528 (over 3 quadrillion damage) to your last Spitemare, who at this point should have seen this coming.
When your last Spitemare sizzles you SHOULD have garnered enough damage to completely obliterate SOMEONE. Most declarations of life totals after 'infinite life loops' are usually lower than 3 quadrillion. Well, last night one of my friends got 5 quintillion squirrels with his Squirrel Nest and Earthcraft combo and then pulled a Luminescent Rain.
So, when over 3 quadrillion damage just isn't enough for you, tell your Mogg Maniacs that you're sorry and continue, full speed ahead.
The first Mogg Maniac is going to take a total of 1,498,798,955,989,010,688 damage from your last Spitemare.
It's going to make a funny little popping sound when it dies but dish out 61,390,764,277,305,387,778,048 (over 61 se - X - tillion) damage to another Mogg Maniac. (goblins can be a little bit irrational at times)
The second Mogg will probably scream "AIIIEEEE!" and deal 251,456,570,479,842,868,338,884,608 (over 251 septillion) damage to a third Mogg.
The third Mogg will go out in a blaze of glory while channeling a total of 1,029,966,112,685,436,388,716,071,354,386 (over 1 nonillion damage... some of you didn't even know that was a number) damage to your fourth.
Your last Mogg Maniac is going to Disintegrate and deal 4,218,741,197,559,547,448,181,028,267,565,056 (over 4 decillion) damage to your poor little Stuffy Doll.
It's probably going to want to run away and cry but, if you're lucky, those tears will be tears of rage and it will feel like dishing out an unreasonable amount of damage.
If you were smart (and ridiculous) enough to pull off this whole combo yet you chose yourself as the player that Stuffy Doll targets. I quit. I just quit.
If you had this plan up your sleeve the whole time: Congratulations, Johnny.
You just dealt your opponent seventeen undecillion, two hundred seventy-nine decillion, nine hundred sixty-three nonillion, nine hundred forty-five octillion, two hundred three septillion, nine hundred six sextillion, three hundred forty-seven quintillion, seven hundred forty-nine quadrillion, four hundred ninety-one trillion, seven hundred eighty-three billion, nine hundred forty-six million, four hundred sixty-nine thousand, three hundred seventy-six damage. Sure, the other combos in this thread are better, but to me nothing beat the expression on my friend's face when I suspended two of this baby targeting my Stuffy Doll.

@ divine exodus (can't believe I'm actually answering a post over 9 months old):
What piece of andon_a's combo would you redirect? The only redirectable spell in there is the Shivan Meteor itself, and what would you change its target to? Any of his creatures would still deal at least 52 damage to you, and since you're a blue player you probably don't have any creature on your side of the battlefield (and, even if you do, you're still 2-for-1'ing yourself, and against a red player, of all colors).

When the apocalypse comes, meteors fall from the heavens... Autochthon Wurm just sits there, wondering what the panic is about, and falls asleep. He and Norin are the only survivors.
And better yet, it's repeatable as long as you have a source, any source of damage to target the spitemare. Go ahead and use a Prodigal Pyromancer equipped with Thornbite Staff, and fry every single creature on the field before dealing your opponent the final blow.
Of course... You could bypass all of this if you gave a second Spitemare a Grafted Exoskeleton, putting an indefinite amount of poison counters on target player.
Or for an even more simplified combo: Furnace of Rath, Spitemare, Grafted Exoskeleton, lightning bolt. Bolt the mare, have it multiplied to 6, have the mare redirect 12 poison counters to the player of your choice. And it's repeatable as long as you have bolts or flame slashes to use on your 5/5 infect Spitemare. This simplified combo could hit the field by turn 8, maybe earlier if you run any acceleration.

@thelasttroll: That's the funniest comment on Gatherer that I've read in years.
This is still one of my favourite cards in the game. Nothing beats throwing a meteor at a creature. Imagining it is way funnier than Into the Maw of Hell or Blasphemous Act.
@thelasttroll Unfortunately, you can't use Mogg Maniacto ramp up damage like that. It can only target players, rather than other Mogg Maniacs. Of course, if you stick a Darksteel Plate on a Spitemare, you can do as much as you want.
To continue the Mathematical Nightmare suggested by TheLastTroll (which, as pointed out by dsharp137, will work with Boros Reckoner in place of the Moggs)...
Journey into Nyx brings us another damage doubler: Dictate of the Twin Gods. (Autocard wont work 'til they update Gatherer)
There are other life-based shenanigans you can add with black cards, but I really only felt like dealing with Naya colors for this. Additionally, it takes all the fun out to do infinite combos, so I've left our stuff like Darksteel Plate that would cause such a combo.
For ease of reading, I'm bolding damage totals and italicizing life gain totals.
Adding the Dictate of Twin Gods will make the Shivan Meteor come out at 13 x 2^16, or 851,968 to the first Spitemare. The Tamanoa abilities will trigger, enhanced by the Boon/Faithmender, getting you 851,968 x 2^8 life for each of your Tamanoas, or 872,415,232 life gained.
Spitemare 1 targets Spitemare 2, dealing 851,968 x 2^12, or 3,489,660,928 damage. True Conviction is giving them lifelink, so you gain that much, times 2^8, or 893,353,197,568 life gained.
Spitemare 2 targets Spitemare 3, dealing 3,489,660,928 x 2^12 or 14,293,651,161,088 damage. Lifelink grants that much times 2^8 or 3,659,174,697,238,528 life gained.
Spitemare 3 targets Spitemare 4, dealing 58,546,795,155,816,448 damage. You gain 14987979559889010688 life
This is where my calculator poops out (I wonder what TheLastTroll was using to get those big numbers without overflowing?) but you can get the picture. Repeat the process of multiplying the damage by 2^12 each time you redirect, and for each instance, multiply the result by 2^8 to see how much life you gained from it. You'll end up gaining far more life than the damage you've dealt, thus making you impervious to this very combo if an opponent were to try it.

4 Spitemares, 4 Mogg Maniacs, 4Quest for Pure Flames, 4 Furnace of Raths, 4 Fire Servants, 4 Gratuitous Violences, a Stuffy Doll and a Shivan Meteor.
The Shivan Meteor is going to zoom in through the rift and pop 53,248 damage on your Spitemare because it's really doing 13 x (2^12) damage from being doubled 4 times by the Fire Servants, Quest for Pure Flames and Furnace of Raths.

So THAT'S what it looks like when you cast a Shivan Meteor Into The Maw OF Hell. Has anyone ever told Urza he needs some serious anger management counseling? Cuz I actually didn't really need to see that. o.O
WIN.
Mogg Maniac cannot deal damage to creatures. It says "target opponent".
Spitemare+Indestructibility+Furnace of Rath.
/opponent
And better yet, it's repeatable as long as you have a source, any source of damage to target the spitemare.
Go ahead and use a Prodigal Pyromancer equipped with Thornbite Staff, and fry every single creature on the field before dealing your opponent the final blow.
Of course...
You could bypass all of this if you gave a second Spitemare a Grafted Exoskeleton, putting an indefinite amount of poison counters on target player.
Or for an even more simplified combo:
Furnace of Rath, Spitemare, Grafted Exoskeleton, lightning bolt.
This is still one of my favourite cards in the game. Nothing beats throwing a meteor at a creature. Imagining it is way funnier than Into the Maw of Hell or Blasphemous Act.
26 damage, Ouch...
$10 to whoever Bazaar Trader's a Phyrexian Negator and hits it with a space rock.
Respond with Mizzium Skin. Proceed to look just as smug as the goblin in the art.
Unfortunately, you can't use Mogg Maniacto ramp up damage like that. It can only target players, rather than other Mogg Maniacs. Of course, if you stick a Darksteel Plate on a Spitemare, you can do as much as you want.
Unrelated, I've always wanted to build a deck around Phyrexian Negator, Dralnu, Lich Lord, and Bazaar Trader. Seems like fun.
Journey into Nyx brings us another damage doubler: Dictate of the Twin Gods. (Autocard wont work 'til they update Gatherer)
Also, as a failsafe just in case the opponent doesn't die from all that damage somehow:
Have out 4 copies each of TamanoaBoon ReflectionRhox Faithmender and one copy of True Conviction
You gain 14987979559889010688 life
Spitemare 4 targets Reckoner 1, dealing 239,807,672,958,224,171,008.
