Good, but I would like a different kind of Chandra

She's the most Izzet of any planeswalker to date, and she has yet to be excessively abused. I'm glad she's back for Return to Ravnica.
Has anyone else noticed that she is insanely good with Tezzeret's Gambit?

Yeah, it's overly-said, but with Omniscience down, cast Conflux, get three more conflux, cast the copy of conflux, as well as the other three, and you just got... 23 cards to cast for free.
All Chandra rock in my games! (Not that I have this one yet... I'm still shooting for the Anime-art variant of the original; wonder why that's not shown on the Gatherer... because it's a special release? That stinks.)

The Anime Art version is in the gatherer JarieSuicune, you just need to select Japanese from the languages tab on the "Duel Decks" version of the card.

Best use for this Chandra is to copy a Sorin's Vengeance. Sadly BR control isn't a deck, yet.

She won me at least 4 games at the release party. And only one of those were from her going ultimate.

for her final ability. can i just my opponent as my target all 6 times. or do i have to choose new targets everytime?
Guys, I don't think that she is that good. When she hits the table, what does she do for you (in that very turn)? She can ping something or someone for 1 or copy an instant or sorcery you control. In my opinion, she doesn't do that much, since most of the time, we won't be able to fire off the ultimate. Or if we are able to fire it off, we would have won anyways.

Her ultimate costs 6, deals 6 damage to 6 targets. 666... Chandra is The Beast.
I think her -2 is the real gamewinner among her abilities. Some spells can win games, some spells duplicated can win them very quickly. One hit kill with something like Lava Axe if you have Furnace of Rath or maybe Fire Servant in play. She's not the ultimate planeswalker, but she's good fun nevertheless.
And no, Benji, I'm pretty damn sure you can't hit the same player for 36 damage. That would just be broken.

Not very red in the middle, but an awesome card. Her first ability I hate the most, mainly because I run and get plenty of 1/1 fliers all the time. Ultimate would be awful to go up against. Second ability is awesome, even for the price. You could have her out just to have a basically free Dual Casting.
Ordered a regular and foil version of her 2013 form for a friend's birthday. Happy 29th, Shawn Garcia! You're on Gatherer for life!

Chandra is powerful and her ultimate shows it, especially in multiplayer.

I like this card, but sadly I've only actually played with it once, in an M13 draft. My favorite play of the night was doubling Krenko's Command with an Arms Dealer out.
I would play her for no reason other than her -2. I don't see much playability in standard otherwise, although she's of course fantastic in casual multiplayer.

Pray tell, ButlerofBolas, how you will use a planeswalker ability to copy a sorcery your opponent cast??

My favorite spell to use her -2 on is time stretch. Good times.
super unlikely to happen but if you run Koth of the Hammer and place enough mountains out to pump out chandra and Banefire, pay at least 5 on banefire and you're already looking at some lethal damage. with Koth having the option of just doubling your R mana count you could literally roast someone alive late game and they can't stop you once the Banefire's out. Chandra for the win!

She's hot. Literally.
But in all seriousness, she's great. Her +1 means goodbye to so many things (I'm looking at you, Intrepid Hero!!), her -2 is very, very fun when your opponent drops a Cruel Ultimatum, and her ulty results in some very ***ed opponents. And for 3R, she's actually one of the only planeswalkers good in an aggro deck. So, to finish, she's sexy, she's powerful, and she's cheap. Me like.
Do you think she'd like to go get some Thai food this Saturday?
EDIT: Whoops. Silly me. Thanks, Lord_Of_Tresserhorn. Meant to say "When I drop..." But maybe with Mindslaver, we could find some horribly convoluted way to do it...

Best chandra ever. I have her and Chandra Naalar and I have to say that the M11 one is garbage. yes, it does more damage and can get to ultimate more quickly but in a burn deck you're better off reverberating some fatty burn spell.

@ButlerOfBolas
The only way I see that happening is you Bazar trader your Chandra to them after you Mindslaver them.
And even then, you can only target opponets. not looking very good for your conveluted combo that targets only opponets or relies on instant-speed Planswalker abilities.

Master is right on the mark about Chandra being Izzet, this version might as well be blue. I see using her -2 on Mind Sculpt as a good choice.
Also this card is the fifth highest rated planeswalker in the game... WTF?!

Of all the Chandra's, Firebrand is the most useful. Really you only want her for the minus two ability, which will devastating to opponents, even if it doesn't match the flavor of red at all. I still think she's rather slow for red, but if you have to go with a Chandra, this is the one to go with.

She pairs pretty well with Chandra's Spitfire. Her +1 keeps the Spitfire as a 4/3 and her -2 can def. be useful even with a small burn spell. If there are no flying blockers, you can use the -2 on a lightning bolt to do 6 damage and then swing for 7. Or if they have a flying blocker, you can use the -2 to lightning bolt both the blocker and the player and then swing with the Spitfire, still pulling off 7 damage total (3 from the lightning bolt + 4 from Spitfire).

Dropped one into the new Tibalt deck to see what happened. Browbeat never felt so good.
Probably would have been a better matchup, Planeswalker to Planeswalker.

The more I use this card the more it grows on me, in the current standard there are a lot of x/1s running around so her ping does have some relevance. But it's not really about her ping usually. I run her in my Bolas control deck and she ultimates most games, or gets killed with either a Dreadbore or burn spell...better her than Bolas. Her copy ability is just gravy, allowing me to double Slaughter games or other fun things...another wonderful iteration of our favorite fiery chick.

Another red planeswalker who's price is admirably low (she's around $4 right now, Koth is usually $3-4) Works great in burn for the sake of burning two creatures with 1 spell. It may be spendy, but it's potentially reusable card advantage, and she picks at opponents and creatures while waiting to do it.

About to be replaced, I think, in M14 with a New Chandra.
Chandra is odd, because she's probably the easiest Walker to acquire on a Budget, which is nice.
But, um, she's difficult to 'HACK'. Like, even building your deck around any of her versions, you are more likely than not 'playing straight'. A lot of the other Planeswalkers are more fun because they have sooo much more Johnny about them.
This is a mildly Johnny Chandra, with whom I am well-pleased. :) But, I am VERY excited about a New Chandra, because even though Chandra is far from my favorite Walker, Wizards has succeeded at making Spoiler Seasons with New Planeswalkers in them always really exciting. :) Even the ones that aren't cracked-in-half are fun to wait for the spoiler for! ^_^
Yes....even Tibalt. He was fun for...two days. :P Which is not zero. :)

Her -2 is great with any spells with proliferate. After all, paying two loyalty counters to copy a spell is good, so why not pay 0? Volt Charge becomes 3 mana for 6 damage; Tezzeret's Gambit three mana to draw four cards! And hey, don't forget that you get to proliferate your other cards, too. Why not dump some more counters on your Molten Hydra, Shrine of Burning Rage and Lord of Shatterskull Pass while you're at it, right?

At first I didn't really care for this Chandra. Her -2 didn't really feel right and her+1 seemed little weak. Her Ultimate rocked though, so I threw her in a top loader and forgot I had her. I never even thought about her until her ultimate was used against me today. Time to reconsider?

My favorite Chandra. Her abilities, particularly her +1, are looked at as being "strictly worse" than Chandra, Pyromaster by other people in my play group, but she's one of the only splashy planeswalkers to date, and free recursive creature burn is a great tool for splashing red into a deck.

Works great with Terminates and Go For The Throat. Can also turn a Rakdos Charm into lethal damage if you're against the right deck.
