Something tells me that equipping Emrakul, The Aeons Torn with this would be overkill.

I feel like making an infect deck based on this and Tainted Strike , by utilizing creatures with out infect, but have trample, such as: Duskdale Wurm, Stomper Cub or Terra Stomper. If a 10/10 with trample and infect doesnt win you the game you dont deserve to serve Phyrexia

Or you could baffle your opponent by Lightning Bolting yourself first :-D

... because an Eldrazi alone wasn't a win condition?
In any case, it's not bad, but that drawback can be very deadly and just screams card disadvantage. I had a lot of fun in one of my games at the prerelease; the opponent summons some random creature, chucks this on it and passes the turn. I proceed to cast Acid Web Spider and net a 3 for 1.
Remember folks: Captain Spike says "no" to card disadvantage! While this could potentially see constructed play simply because infect is almost pseudo-double damage, it's not going to do too well without protection.
This does wonders with any first strike creature since the counters are put on a before a blocked or blocking creature gets to deal damage. Something like sunspear shikari might work.

Meh. It's decent in sealed and draft, but not quite good enough for truly competitive play. proliferate+ichor rats is better.

bah-ROKEN!!!!! This card is an insane multi-use piece of amazing amazingness. For 4 mana, you get an artifact that can kill any of your opponents creatures for 2, OR equip to one of your creatures for infectonating madness. This is insane.

@mnemonic You do realize you can only equip things to creatures you control
This sounds like a fun alternative to basilisk collar on cunning sparkmage

Was facing down an army of 3/3 Elf tokens from an elf deck (thanks to Elvish Champion, Imperious Perfect, and an Elvish Promenade), with only a Figure of Destiny on the field (8/8 w/ flying). He had no flying creatures, but I was down to 13 life, and he was up at 38 life from an Exsanguinate (it was a 3-person match). Drew this card, slapped it on my Figure, was an instant win.
I love this card.

Neurok Invisimancer + This is a perfect combo. It fits so PERFECTLY into a U/B infect deck. On entry I make one of my other infect creatures unblockable, next turn equip Grafted Exoskeleton and hit with a 4/3 unblockable infect creature.... All my love <3 And then toss it to throne of geth if you are 1 poison counter away from the kill.

If only this came a set later, it could have had Living Weapon. I'm sure it would have cost 1-2 more to play or equip, or just had lower p/t boost, but there really should have been a Living Weapon with infect.

ok, technically, the source of the power doesnt quite fit flavorwise, but this essentially...
turns your creature into friggin WOLVERINE.
if he loses his skeleton, he dies. if he doesnt, they lose their skeleton. and die. you dont really need Indestructible on top of that do you? you do? fine, add that Darksteel Plate, jerkwad.
and just to make absolutely clear- there is not, and never will be, any creature in all of Magic that is a better target for this than Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. that is DARK PHEONIX Wolverine.
Happy kill-rapeage season!!!
sincerely,
Gleemax (because Wizards of the Coast R&D weren't giving us big enough stuff so I made them make this)
PS- for extra ka-pwnage, might I suggest Tinker+Darksteel Relic= Grafted Exoseleton; Survival of the Fittest + Nest Invader= Emrakul, the Aeons Torn; Elvish Piper+ Puresteel Paladin = you get punched in the face?

Anything that gives a creature Infect is already pretty strong.
An equipment that does it is extremely powerful, even with the (somewhat of a) drawback.
I've seen this be included into a lot of EDH, for good reason, especially Voltron-style.

Allen Williams and Wizards. Providing hundreds of Myr Battlespheres with insta-kill backbones at low low prices.
The drawback is hardly a drawback. Just keep attacking with whatever you equipped it with. Infect causes so much pain you should be attacking every turn with an infect creature anyway. Only thing that sucks is if they zap the skeleton, you lose your creature. Still, being able to give any creature you chose infect (and jack it up to boot) for any color of mana is nuts.
@JaxsonBateman: That's actually a 2 for 0, since you killed two cards of your opponents but didn't actually spend any of your own (since the creature is still in play).

Good card. I'd run this for use on my zombie lords in a zombie-infect deck that mixes infect zombies with their non-infecting lords.
Two words would take this from uncommon to mythic: Living Weapon.
Sooo good... It's just really under appreciated in Standard control decks. Imagine it on something like a Grave Titan or Consecrated Sphinx, it really pulls its weight even as a 1-of. And sometimes you want the sacrifice too...

So, let me get this straight... if I join the Phyrexian Army, I get to become a Giger Alien on Infectious Steroids? Well, sign me up!
In reality, try slapping this on a Black Cat. Not only is it ridiculous, flavor-wise, but it's a lose-lose situation for your opponent- they either use removal and discard at random, or let a 3/3 Infectious feline run rampant on the battlefield.
I really love the flavor of this card! Ripping apart your creatures so you can graft this to a new creature, turning it into a kind of abomination. Plus, is actually not bad for such a powerful effect. And only to move it to a new creature once the first creature is killed or you've grown bored of it.
It does make you feel delightfully evil, doesn't it?

How could something this powerful be uncommon? I'm not complaining because if it was rare it would cost substantially more for the foil I'm putting in my edh deck. Put it on a 1/1 ground pounder to dissuade attackers. Put it on a first striker to beat face. Put it on Gisela, Blade of Goldnight to auto kill your opponents.
@Achija_El-Shuwal Wrong, this is insane in edh. If your opponents have no answers you just win the game. If they do have answers, then that's honestly fine. You just kill them the fair way.
Assuming those are even the only three artifacts I control, I'm still getting a 7/4 infect with protection from every color.

This oozes flavor. "Upgrades" were always the hallmark of Phyrexians and their servants. Exoskeletal modifications were made to many characters in books, like Greven, Ertai, and others. It's great to finally see this on a card, reflected perfectly in the mechanics and the art. Well done!
