There are better demigods. The Godhead is a neat idea but simply isn't effective in doing much but drawing removal from other creatures. For U/W, 5 for a 4/4 flier really isn't much of a bargain and its ability can almost be ignored (or prove harmful to yourself) due to the excessive amounts of way this thing can die on the field.
A 4/4 flyer for 5 mana ain't bad, but imagine your beast-playing opponent's face when he sees that second ability...
Harmfull for yourself? Not if you put it in the right deck!
Drawing removal? You're playing blue and/or white, you'll find a solution...
And by the way, a creature that's says kill me or I kill you is always good.
(definitely with toughness 4 or more).
TERMINATE him and let Demigod of Revenge rule all of the spirit avatars...

With the ability Other Creatures are 1/1, do they always stay as 1/1 or can you and the opponent both pump those creatures up with +1 +1 counters and giant growths?
Does anything happen when the godhead dies?

They can be pumped. I won't get into layering, but just pretend they have always been 1/1. If they have +1/+1 counters or enchantments that boost P/T, they'll get bigger.
Max: The only card in your list where that actually works is Soul Snuffers. The rest of them just give -1/-1, not put a counter on.

pssshhh.......Demigod of Revenge? yeah right! This little lady shuts him (and his bros in the graveyard) down the minute she hits the scene! If you're playing some combination of blue or white, you can deal with whatever black red throws at you. Spread the love! (and the Humility) Godhead of Awe FTW!

She is a huge pro and con card.
Pro, shes a 4/4 flyer that makes all your opponents cards really weak 1/1's, that can all die from a low cost lavalanche. She combos with cards like night of soul's betrayal nicely.
Con, the decks in which making all opposing creatures 1/1 an important draw back are the same type of decks that can blast her off the field, it also doesn't prevent enchanted creatures from dealing with her, a 1/1 enchanted with an enchantment that gives it 2/2 and some ability is still a 3/3 creature on the field. Certain enchantments can also make her ability void, i.e. beastmaster ascension. The biggest con is it also makes your own creatures 1/1 except for the godhead herself, giving your other creatures all the same weakness, but blue and white doesn't have as many pump spells as red or green.

Out of all of the Spirit Avatars, this is the only one that is actually worse in multiples. If two Godheads of Awe are on the battlefield, they each make the other 1/1.

There is something about this card I have always wondered: My friends and I have played that when the Godhead leaves battle, every creature that was affected returns to their normal P/T values. Is this true, or do they remain 1/1s regardless of if the Godhead is in play? I was wondering because it does not read "as long as Godhead of Awe is in play" like I would expect from reading other cards.

Sarroth:
You're playing it correctly. The rules text is written in the present tense because the Godhead's ability (most abilities, actually) only works while the Godhead is in play. When she leaves play, her ability isn't there anymore to overwrite every other creature's P/T, so they revert back to the way they were before. (Gigantiform works the same way.)
I imagine this card could work well with an ally deck. I assume the counters that your allies have on them would make them more than just a 1/1, and therefore if you even have a Kazuul Warlord out your dudes should be stronger than your opponents.

Play with Crovax, Ascendant Hero to double the power of your own little buddies and make it impossible to play anything else then white creatures.
Or Guardian Seraph, without pump your opponents creatures can no longer touch you.

@Max27588:I'm afraid you don't get the idea. Necroskitter works with -1/-1 counters only. Which means that all of the other cards you just listed don't work. they do give -x/-x abilities but none place counters.

This with the new Preator from New Phyrexia. Other creatures are 1/1 and then your opponent's shrivel and die. Permanent lock-down if you can keep them alive.
i have this in my u/w spirits- both times i have played with it i have managed to get out my two drogskol captains, giving me an army of 3/3 hexproof flying creatures lead by a 6/6 against my opponenets 1/1s. fun times.

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite makes this card ridiculous. It makes all of your creatures 3/3's but kills ALL of your opponents creatures the minute the hit the board and wipes anything that has not otherwise been buffed by at LEAST +2.

I hope people realize that, wtih elesh norn, this is NOT the best card to use.
Dovescape is strictly better, even for 1 more mana. Unless, without casting non-creature spells, you can find a way to effectively control dovescape or elesh norn.
Interesting card, but not the best of the deities.
PS: if you want to find this entire cycle, advanced search, spirit avatar.
I dunno, I feel like this should have been red somewhere, I think it would fit super well with Pyroclasm.

Although Eldrazi Spawn got a nod here, I'm surprised no-one's mentioned the synergy with Springjack Shepherd. Godhead gives WWWWW on the board for the purposes of Chroma, and she makes all your goats bigger while ruining everyone elses' front row. Not exactly going to make waves in Modern, but it's a good way to provoke some anguished cries of "It does WHAT?" in multiplayer. :D

For those interested in the Eventide/Shadowmoor Deity (Spirit Avatar) Cycles:
Not only buffs up your Phantom Nomads and Phantom Centaurs, but also makes them unkillable by damage! Although, hey now - aren't those all spirits? Drogskol captain can join in the fun, too, to even make sure everyone is untargetable. I smell a deck!
I'm a little sad this is white, because it can't go in my Vorel of the Hull Clade EDH deck. I mean, it doesn't matter if my creatures are all 1/1 if they all have 10 +1/+1 counters, right?
