my play group traded around all our lieges from the boxes we purchased. I ended up with a play set of these and have yet to use them. I guess at the time i thought "yeah flash is cool awesome", but in retrospect rarely am i going to want to pump my creatures it u/w. Maybe for white weenie, but there are cheaper options (with flash) for that. wish id held on to my ashenmoor liege's instead.

I agree, this isn't going to be much help in blue/white decks, and flash doesn't really help. Out of all the Shadowmoor liege's, this one is definitely the worst.

Wow, just... wow. This is an uncommon at best. Other Leiges laugh at him and and take his lunch money.

@MasterOfEtherium... Stop Capitalizing The First Letter Of Every Word That You Type. Its Annoying And Makes You Sound Unintelligent. If Your Reading This And Also Find It Irritating, Copy And Past This Whenever You See His Comments (Which Are On Almost Every Card I Look Up :/)

I've had endless fun with this guy in my Light From Within deck, though it's easy to see why

The biggest problem this Liege has is that he's a 1/3. That's it.

Otherwise, the U/W combination provides buffs for a wide variety of really good creatures, and he does so at instant speed which provides a large degree of flexibility, letting you work around counterspells and act as a combat trick.

It would be a truly awesome Liege (compared to the others) if it were just a bit bigger, say, 3/3.

One of the worst things to happen to this liege is that he was printed during the Lorwyn Block cycle, or as I called it, the "Faerie Deck Wins Block".

He's not the best leige, but he does work fine in blue white decks especially because he has flash. I used him with success with pride of the clouds, spectral procession, and twilight drover. Pride made 1/1 WU tokens that became 3/3 after i flashed thistledown. Greatest thing is waiting until blockers are declared then popping him out.

Well, at least it's cheap. Sort of.

Hey, there's nothing better than flashing him in to buff your defense. Sometimes there are tactics just fringe enough that the enemy won't see it coming.

Since he's UW, shoudln't he at least have flying? Glen Elendra Liege is arguably better because UB hardly ever has access to global pump effects. This guy has a puny 1 power....

It might not compare to its brethren but this card by no means deserves to be rated in the bottom third of the Shadowmoor cards (right next to cerulean wisps to boot).

If this card was not a liege, I'm sure it would be rated higher. It is not a bad card, it gives white/blue hybrid creatures +2/+2 and has flash. BUT, compared to the other lieges, it does seem rather dissapointing.

Knight Exemplar breaks the White Lieges. nuff said.

I think he's meant to be a surprise blocker and surprise buff all in one. Is he amazing? No. But there are plenty of times you could find yourself needing a boost and another blocker.

The worst of the lieges. Still playable. 3.5/5

I'd be perfectly fine with this guy if just he was 1/4.
Lightning Bolt resistancy just makes such a huge difference, and sadly he doesn't have that...

Plays very well in a U/W Ephara, God of the Polis deck. Get the God onto the field and keep the liege in your hand, and just enough devotion to keep it an enchantment. Then when you need a great blocker (such as against something with death touch), drop the Liege and chuckle. Someone tries to play a Deicide? Use Dramatic Rescue to return the God and watch your opponent have to exile one of his/her own enchantments, or possibly even destroying their own in the process.
