Quite a useful card, especially if you're running some type of control and in multiplayer games. Use it in conjunction with cards like Ascendant Evincar and Infest, and you'll pretty much have control of the entire battlefield.
I don't get why this is so good compared to infest

Since Kamigawa is about to be shifted out of Extended, there's an excellent opportunity to play this with Humility in Legacy; for a permanent Day of Judgment that avoids annoying things like Indestructable or can't be targeted due to protection.
strictly worse than Curse of death's hold . not only can you actually have more than one on the field, it effects only your opponent

@FailMarcus Ignoring the fact that it costs 1 less which is enough to say you are wrong, it also effects all your opponents in multiplier games, can be found with legendary search cards like Time of Need and Captain Sisay. Also you can use the -1/1- on your creatures to make combos like supershawn did... 3 years ago. I do not believe you know what strictly worse means.
EDIT: Almost forgot you have to be able to target the other player with the other spell. I am sure I am missing more things but this seemed like a good start.

I'd love to run this in a black white green deck with Humility, and Invigorating Falls.
