I want for of these. But I want eight Storm Crows.

Works well with Ponder, and is a great early drop for both attacking and blocking.

Consistency? Who needs consistency when you have evasion and are this freakin' cool??
One of my favorite cards of the set, even if it's not one of the most obviously powerful.

So many uses, and so very cool. Turn ridiculous amounts of mana into a milling machine/ graveyard feeder? Use as an enabler in your wacky Laboratory Maniac deck? Swing for unpredictable amounts of evasive damage? I want this card already and the set isn't even out yet.

I'm surprised that no one is stating the obvious combo: Mindshrieker + Noxious Revival Doesn't get much more simple than that.
And of course Crafty Pathmage so they're taking that damage to the head.

At my first booster draft ever, I somehow managed to pull two of these. I didn't realise at first how fortunate it was of me -my hand sucked apart from blue cards, but these birds made me win twice and _almost_ additional two times. I think that speaks volumes.
Besides, it's always fun to swing for 14 damage with two mana -flying creature

Can't help but feel he'd be good in a U/G Splinterfright-oriented deck. Pump this EVASIVE guy, and potentially give +1/+1 to your TRAMPLER. Lots of good stuff goin' on.
Run with Vengeful Pharaoh? Gives this guy +5/+5 and lets you easily toss the Pharaoh back into the graveyard. Only problem being that you'll end up drawing the Pharaoh....perhaps Sylvan Library? Or Sensei's Divining Top?

Absurd! I think it would have been powerful enough for it to get +X/+X for the last card milled, not cumulative +X/+X for every card. Blue creatures are really getting love. Just waiting to see Green creatures on same power level.

In my opinion, this is one of Innistrad's coolest cards. _____ @Ponzy13: Training Grounds can't make an ability cost less than . Still, making Mindshrieker's ability cost only makes it even more horrifically dangerous. In casual, it can win the game on turn 3 if you're lucky (by milling three 6- or 7-mana cards). @NoobOfLore: Xenograft doesn't work that way. A Donated Conspiracy would, though. _____
This does not count the hilarity induced by equipping a Mindshrieker with a Trepanation Blade and/or Bonehoard. Oh, that seems amusing enough to build a deck around!

surprisingly effective against solarflare decks. yeah, you are dropping their jin gitaxis in their graveyard for them, but they were going to do it anyway, and you just dealt them 11 damage from it.

Comedy would be tacking the milling-sword onto this guy, too.
edit: after some tinkering, this card sort of blows - it's totally hit or miss milling their deck, and pointless on your own; i.e. the sort of tempo deck this wants to be in doesn't have any casting costs worth paying to lose. Fun in draft, though.

I just played a two headed giant game, got one of these out, Pumped it with it's ability three times (one on each player besides myself), total +8/+8. I had a 9/9 fly over their zombies for the win. Fun card. 5/5.

I have that bird in a blue black control deck. Activate it each turn until you have two or three mana left, for a mana leak or dissipate, and deal a good amount of damage that way. Later play snatch ideally some titans you milled that way with gruesome encore.

Field of Dreams you can use this to keep your opponents from getting the cards that they need. For example: take cards from the top of your opponent's deck until there is a land card so the only thing he/she can draw will be land cards. Time ebb Put an opponent's useful creature on top of his/her Deck and then send it to the graveyard. If you have lots of mana you can use Echo Mage to copy the Time ebb.
YES! finally my birdies have something they can work with!!!

@occamsrazorwit, lets not get hasty here, in an average deck there's at least 30% land so that could easily get flipped then storm crow would prevail as usual

Roar of the Wurm seems like a neat idea, maybe this could fit in some silly UG madness type deck? Or you could just live the dream and set up Draco on top.

Trepanation Blade pumps this guy up further and guarantees the first card you will won't be a land. Time Ebb works as creature removal that also guarantees a pump. If you're going blue/black Suffer the Past is a good finisher that also stops reanimator decks.

A really good creature that had the horrible misfortune of being in the same set as Delver of Secrets. Has flying, is relatively cheap to cast, and can do some major damage in the right deck and with enough mana. 4.5/5

I was playing a Simic Ramp in standard the other day. This thing hit the field and killed me in two swings, no joke!
One of the best 2-drop creatures in Commander. It disrupts topdeck tutors (Vampiric Tutor, Mystical Tutor, etc) and, with enough mana, gets large enough to eat people in one swing. In the air.
I play this card in EDH and for some reason my friend really hates it. He will do anything he can to kill it as soon as it hits the field.
One hilarious time, he slapped a glistening oil on it, thinking it would be gone in a turn. On my turn, I proceeded to mill a third player and got something huge like Artisan of Kozilek.
Now, I don't usually like turn three kills in EDH but he kind of asked for it (and he never messed with my Mindshrieker again!)
5/5 for awesome unpredictable plays.

This is actually decent in EDH, what with all the high mana-cost cards floating around. I once milled an opponent's Bladewing, the Risen and Iona, Shield of Emeria at the same time. +16/+16 is a pretty nice buff for {4}

Mindshrieker earned a home in my bruna self mill EDH, my favorite combo us T2 mindshrieker into T3 Enlightened Tutor/Eldrazi Con***ion mill for 9/9 flying.
Play Shrieker and next turn put out the tracker. Search for Worldspine and put on your deck. Activate Shrieker's ability and mill the Wurm back into your library. Shrieker get +11/11 and you lose no card.
Blink Tracker each turn for extra win.

I'm thinking Lantern of Insight: simple, low-cost, and effective. Training Grounds and Heartstone, of course, are great complements as well.
Assault Strobe might also be terrifyingly effective, especially if you Brainstorm/Ponder/Preordain/Sensei's Divining Top/Vampiric Tutor an Eldrazi or something similarly large to the top of your library. In Standard, you can use Ponder or Brutalizer Exarch.
