Surprisingly frustrating card to play against backed by flickerwisp, because it makes the opponent lose their next draw. If you already didn't have the thing to stop your opponent, then it garauntees you wont draw it the next turn either, or sometimes the turn after that. Pair with puppeteer clique or other creatures to make your opponents just tear their hair out at this one.

Play with Venser, the Sojourner your opponent will never draw another card again.

If you think this is a Chimney Imp 2.0, you obviously haven't seen Vedalken Dismisser.

Try with Conjurer's Closet to have your opponent draw the same card again... and again... and again...

The first time i saw someone use a blink to get around the evoke sacrifice, I thought it seemed a little fishy, but i let it pass. If you review the rules, specifically 702.72a, it's very clear that the sacrifice is PART of the casting cost, not a triggered effect. Failure to sacrifice the creature makes the evoke fizzle and the creature goes to the graveyard. It doesn't matter if the creature leaves the battlefield, it still must be sacrificed to fulfill the evoke cost. Any judge that misses this obviously hasn't read the rules closely enough.

Blink works here. "When" is a sure sign of a trigger.

Pay evoke cost. Creature etb's. Sacrifice trigger goes on the stack. Blink it. The creature is now a new item and the sacrifice trigger doesn't recognize it as the same creature.
