a nasty effect! plowing permanents can feel so backbreaking. the art looks like a bear at a car wash.

The only time I have seen this card was as a convoluted way to brand a stolen creature. So I'm not sure what to think of it.

I love putting cards on top of my opponent's library, though it can be rather pricey. Still, I liked using this card with Timesifter.

Four mana raises eyebrows, but instant speed repelling is fun.

@Kirbster: A more entertaining use for Repel is to follow it up with Bribery. That, or a mill effect.

Functionally reprinted as Griptide in Dark Ascension. For what it's worth, I think that this card is much better than its current 1.7 rating.

Stops wild pokemon from appearing for 100 steps.

Two stars?? That's a little harsh for this type of tempo destruction.
I like this card a lot. 4cc is steep, but not completely unfair. 1UU would have been perfect, I think. Still, I use this in blue decks to this day, even if mainly for reasons of nostalgia.
Plus, I'm a sucker for self-referential flavor text. 3.5/5
