This will be so nice to use in zombies. All those phyrexian counter and removal cards will be gone and zombies will still have access to Gravecrawler. Plus with all the dual-land cards coming out in RtR, it will be very easy for zombie to go into more than just BG, but also Jund or BUG. Turn 1 put out a gravecrawler or diregraf ghoul, and then turn 2 you can bring out this guy and if you have gravecrawlers in hand you can just discard them for +1/+1 on him and then bring out the gravecrawlers next turn. Turn 3 you get a 3/2 (or more) with trample, plus a (2/1)/(2/2) depending on what you played turn 1, plus the very solid geralf's messenger for your turn 3 creature. Finally, zombies has their solid 2 drop, and at the cost of virtually nothing. I love it.

While I do see a lot of very possibilities for this guy as most have mentioned in Slitherhead and Gravecrawler. I would warn that I really don't think this guy is as good as people are saying he is, not that I necessarily think he's bad. Unsummon makes him a liability and cards like Augur Spree can work around his regeneration given that his stats are still 5/4 or less with little to no creatures in hand.

My name is Khil Atrolo, and I approve this card. A novice such as myself should trol ... I mean know!
This thing needs to die... But thats a very difficult thing to do. The 1 cost regenerate dodges red burn, direct kills spells, and the like. He is low CMC so its a non-issue if he gets unsummoned. Unless you pull a terminus or give him -1/-1 ( effectively, just auger spree, golgari charm, mutilate) he just sticks around, making your gravecallers difficult to remove.
Perhaps one of the more fortunate things to happen to me upon my return to Ravnica was getting my hands on a playset of these fairly quickly. This guy is awesome.

The best way to have fixed him was to just make him a troll.
A Zombie Troll means that once you've dicarded Gravecrawler, guess who could come back for some fun?
That being said, I am a little disappointed that it wasn't like Bloodthrone Vampire: sacrifice a creature to give it power. A Rare Nantuko Husk with Trample would've been just as, if not, more broken than this is now. That way, Gravecrawler can get a great Bloodghast-like work-out.
Either way, amazing card. It's very "all in", so it's easy to deal with in Modern/legacy (Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, etc.). Standard? Not so much...

Absolutely disgusting. It'll be a common sight for this guy to start swinging as a regenerating, trampling 4/3 on turn 3 after someone discards a Slitherhead and scavenges it. At drafts.
And it just gets worse from there. It's almost enough to make someone hate draft all the black and green from the start.

This guy reminds me of Odyssey block creatures like Wild Mongrel and Psychatog, although having to discard a creature card makes him a lot more narrow.
With 8 GB dual lands in Standard he could curve nicely into and set up a decent-sized T3 Splinterfright, but he will also be a prime bounce candidate if those effects continue to see play after Vapor Snag rotates.
Also could be fun to throw Slitherheads into the GY for extra +1/+1 counters.

This thing is hard to kill. Hard. The best solution is O-ring, Pacifism, but the worst part is that it almost always brings some Abrupt Decays with it.
Oh, and it is played in decks where the player wants creature cards in his graveyard? Yeah.
Amazing card for Scavenge decks, but can also fit into a Dredge deck.
Put him down turn 2, then discard Golgari-Grave Troll, Golgari Thug, or Stinkweed Imp. Then Dredge, and discard again. Not as fast as the Slitherhead + Ghoulcaller's Chant + Scavenge combo, but I'll take filling up my yard quickly than having an 8/7 Trampler that is kinda vulnerable when you don't have any mana open for his regen cost.
All in all, a great card for any Golgari and B/G Zombie deck. Surprisingly, he's also kinda cheap now. Currently... *looks up price* ...4 bucks?!? What madness is this?!

Card is awesome. Good discard outlet, low regen cost, and it has trample? I just realized you can only discard creature cards to it. That makes it meh.
Just compare this thing to Drudge Skeleton. By replacing with , you get: * +1 to power, so you can hit things harder *An awesome discard outlet/permanent pump ability *Trample, so all that extra power isn't wasted *A creature type with stronger tribal support
Combine that with that fact that virtually no removal currently in standard includes the "can't be regenerated" phrase, and you've got yourself a pretty efficient beatstick.
Exhibits cannibalistic behavior during territorial disputes between other trolls.

Will fit well in my B/G Recurring Nightmare deck. Birds of Paradise Turn 1; Buried Alive or this guy Turn 2 depending what's in hand. I think I like.
I'm glad WOTC learned from Odyssey block and limited this to only creatures. Although frightening that a 'tog-like creature gets put in a set that's right after the set that revisited flashback and has Snapcaster Magein it.

Brilliant design from top to bottom.
He doesn't need to tap or pay mana in order to power up, he's a Trampler, and he can regenerate. Missing any one of these things would have completely ruined the card. He can't be chumped, he can't be destroyed, and he powers up more quickly than almost every 2-drop in standard. I absolutely adore the fact that WotC took the time to give him some sort of inherent defense mechanic through Regeneration, can you imagine investing all of these resources in him just to have him Murdered in response?
Hint: Use Creeping Renaissance to bring back all the creatures you fed to him, and then have him eat them a second time so he can swing for the win.

I like how so many people are condemning this card because of him being vulnerable to bounce. I mean, god forbid your two-drop is vulnerable to something. Just don't throw all your eggs into the Lotleth basket, and you won't lose your whole hand to an Unsummon. Even with just one discard of a Slitherhead, you're swinging with a 4/3 trampler that can regenerate itself for dirt cheap (swamp cheap?) on turn 3. I dunno what you all want from your two-drops, but this guy fits the bill for me.

Actually very solid in a post innistrad reanimator deck as a cheap way to get cards into the graveyard. Not to mention that angel of serenity, one of the cards you'll undoubtedly be discarding for his 1/1 counters can bring other cards back to your hand for additional discard and shenanigans. So many possible rescue from the underworld shenanigans with this guy. Not to mention the fact that this thing is incredibly cheap for what it does and can get real crazy, real fast. Flavor is great, art is amazing, usability is amazing as well for his versatility, one of my favorites from rtr block. 5/5.
