I like the implications of this card.
A removal enchantment that you don't really want to remove a creature with (but it can if you need it to).
Seems decent in Limited.

This reminds me of Fatal Attraction and Firemaw Kavu with its flexibility. Something that is being used a bit more latley in cards like Bonds of Faith... fingers crossed for the new Simic :)

Punish wall users, for sure, since either way it would hurt.

Beautiful common. Gives you more options! Take their creatures out right away or use it to tax their health every turn, give them a clock to get nervous about. Goes perfectly on defenders, wolfir sikverheart and another big things that make me cringe. Will see standard and definitely see draft play.

Unless a player has a way to sac or destroy their own big bodied creature, you'll end up getting your manas worth out of this card every time. Oh and did I mention its a common?

Art is hilarious, id stab somebody that ugly too... Lol

I don't know why but the art on this card makes me laugh. She's quite the hottie, too bad that stab wound will probably leave quite the nasty scar.

That's pretty potent for something so utterly mundane. Seriously, they thought something any guy can accomplish with a knife even warranted a mana cost?!

One of the few cards in this set I am genuinely excited about using. It's possible I'll try to make a deck with it--try to make it work--and fail in the end. Still, I'm looking forward to trying.

Incredible in limited. Single-handedly won me several games at the prerelease, and 2 of these were the only black cards I had in the deck.

1st pick in draft in my opinion. What we have here is removal, some burn, and a bit of control. The opponent may end up killing their own creature or sending it to attack to get rid of it, which are all in your favor. Great, awesome utility card. 5/5

Was an MVP in my Golagri deck during pre-release. Plop it on a defender and watch their health ebb away. Will probably be too slow in a standard deck but I just love this card. Amazing art too, its painfull to look at.

This was so great at prerelease. Dealing with small creatures and weakening big creatures while making the owner regret keeping them alive is amazing, especially at only 3 mana and one black. Throwing one on an opponent's Lotleth Troll was my favorite part of the weekend. "So you can either let that bomb die, or ditch your creature cards right now and make him too weak to be a big threat for a couple of turns and insure that I bleed you out for awhile." He picked the latter. Even by the time he finally wasted an Abrupt Decay on it, the Stab Wound had slowed down his game completely and gotten probably 10 life out of him. Awesomesauce

I hate this card in the sense that it is nasty to play against. I had two of these out on me at the same time and it ended the match pretty quickly. It's a fun card, and really devastating in limited.

I chose Rakdos as my guild for the prerelease, and I opened three of these. Reading the card in the visual spoiler, I wasn't impressed, but as is so often the case, seeing the card in action taught me a new and healthy respect that I didn't have at first glance.

It can kill a little guy, if you need that. It can cripple a big guy, if you need that. If, as with my Rakdos deck at the prerelease, you find your creature-based assault stalled, or facing a wall of bigger guys, then Stab Wound can serve as a way to get the final couple of points off of their life total. It created some interesting play decisions for me in a deck that was otherwise "play guy, attack, remove opponent creature, repeat", and I have to applaud the RtR team for creating such an interesting aura!

Also, on a sillier note, because this is what went through my head upon first reading it:

Centurion: "You know the penalty laid down by Roman law for harbouring a known criminal?"
Matthias: "No."
C: "Crucifixion!"
M: "Oh."
*beat*
C: "...Nasty, eh?"
M: "Could be worse."
C: "What do you mean, 'could be worse'?"
M: "Well, you could be stabbed."

Any time I stabbed one of my opponent's guys, it was quite nasty indeed!

Great card for limited. Leads to some interesting decisions for both you and your opponent. In general I think the card's better when it doesn't kill the creature cause you can often get your opponent to kill it off for you, using their own removal on their guy. Put this on their unleashed thrill-kill assassin and laugh (also, don't unleash thrill-kill assassin against black)

I've taken to referring to this card as Menstrual Cramps... and each creature I target as "your girlfriend"... makes perfect sense flavorwise... :P

Had fun sticking this thing on Axebane Guardians at the prereleases. I don't know how much constructed play it will see, but i love this thing. :)

A friend of mine keeps stabbing my Vampire Nighthawk with this. And I have to sacrifice it or bleed to death (assuming that i HAVE a way to sacrifice it)

Assassin: Wait, your not Mary Anderson. Oooo. Sorry about that. My bad. Normally, I have to kill you because of the whole can't be seen thing. How about I just let you live and we'll call it even.

How this card is not 4.0+ is beyond me. Stab Wound is one of the best non-creature RTR commons in limited. Having (and drawing) more than one is nearly a guaranteed win. I have never been disappointed with this card.

I hope the rest of the hotties in the game don't see this, or they might start armoring their smoking-hot midriffs...

4/5. Crippling Blight and Dead Weight on steroids. Weaken an opponent's creature and force them to kill it or lose life each turn. Great Black card.

Great in casual if your deck is filled with burn and direct damage and few creatures. It means they can't just throw it in front of a big attacker and they end up either removing their own creature or dying to it.

I think this card deserves a better rating. It can kill or reduce most creatures so they are no longer dangerous and deal decent damage every turn to it's controller. All for the mana cost of 2B.
It's fun to play and the art is good. I will put it back into my deck when I can.

Playing a casual B/W control deck.

My opponent plays Fiend Hunter exiling my Sun Titan. I play this on his hunter. Few turns later he's down to 5 life so he panics and plays his another hunter to exile his own to get remove the enchantment. I get my titan back and return this enchantment on his new hunter. He scooped. This card made him lose more life (8) than all of the other cards in my deck combine.

solid enchantment 3.5/5.

This card is absolutely amazing. It totally owned a draft I was at-toss it on an opponent's Hover Barrier and just hold out until they bleed to death. I hate it. 5/5.

I came to a revelation today. This can stop Azor's Elecutors with ease. Unless they are smart enough to not just turbofog in that deck and have enchantment removals, they get no counters anymore.

"Ow! That really stings."
"Look, You'll be fine, just walk it off."

Amazing in limited, Casual players could find a home for it, it has potential in EDH if you slap it on the enemy's commander.

Caninse: This doesn't actually stop Azor's Elocutors. The Elocutors loses a counter when you are dealt damage; Stab Wound here causes life loss, not damage. Damage causes life loss (barring things like infect), but life loss is not damage. Sorry!
