I don't like it. It doesn't have many uses.

Good combo potential. Can bounce it in and out of play using Master Transmuter

Cunnulative upkeep?

Doesn't have many uses? That's a ridiculous statement. Use this to skip upkeeps on cards altogether (Lord of the Pit comes to mind), avoid paying echo and play Pacts without losing the game. It also messes up suspend decks.

Play with Delaying Shield.

I'ld give this a 5/5 if it cost was more playable... My inner johny wants to ritual this thing out turn 3, but than there isn't enough card space in the deck for all the fun cards to go with this... sad day =(

Illusionary Wall, Lord of the Pit, Sheltering Ancient, Brand of Ill Omen, and Inner Sanctum are my favorite cards (one for each color) to play with this.

Just use this card with cards that use cumulative upkeep. Or any kind of upkeep you don't like.
Good for stopping a lot of token factories too. "Haha, you don't get to pump out 5 tokens on your upkeep. Because you don't even get an upkeep. Oh, and I don't have to sacrifice anything to keep my 7/7 flying trampler from hurting me."

This makes cards with prohibitive C-umulative Upkeep costs playable. Naked Singularity or Reality Twist could be fun with this.

anything with cumulative upkeep or fading...

Play with Stasis, Kismet, and Hedron Crabs. And maybe Fountain Watch for cover. No more anything for your opponent.

Stasis anyone?

As stated before, the Pact cards are incredible with this. Also my favorite creature with this is Phyrexian Soulgorger, an 8/8 beater without a drawback for 3.

This card can single-handedly rip open your opponent's combos, get rid of any of your upkeep drawbacks, or vise-versa.
This card is powerful if put to good use, honestly.
Using this against a casual Suspend deck will cause lots of laughs...
On your side of the table, I mean.

This with Pacts would be amazing. Drop this, then at the end of their turn, play out all of the Pacts in your hand. Killing creatures, countering spells (if they play any - maybe to counter your Hub or other Pacts), producing 4/4 creatures, and Summoner's Pacting some creatures into your hand. It's too bad the white and blue pacts are reactionary, otherwise they could be more useful in this situation.

Dear WotC:
This card was a step in the wrong direction.

This spell is my inner blue Johnny's hottest dreams come true. While combos including this card are often prohibitive since they're essentially worthless until you get out your Hub, they're pretty brutal. Consider:

Pact of Negation turns into a poor man's (better!) Force of Will
Living Tsunami/Waterspout Djinn turn into 4/4 fliers for 4 with no drawback
Unstable Mutation becomes a Giant Growth aura for U
Icy Prison turns into Journey to Nowhere (what? Permanent spot removal for blue???)
Ertai's Meddling exiles any spell for 1U.

Your cumulative upkeep spells get pretty badly broken too. Illusionary Wall, Mystic Remora, Illusions of Grandeur, Illusionary Terrain, Survivor of the Unseen… the list just goes on. And although your opponent is getting the same benefits, the chances that they've also built an entire deck around not having upkeeps is pretty remote.

I guess you could say that Eon Hub's greatest accomplishment is making the Ice Age block playable.

This is going to be a cornerstone in my upcoming Dragon/Demon deck. Couple Lord of the Pits, Dragon Tyrants and so forth. Might even splash some blue and throw my Nicol Bolas if I'm feeling fancy. Awesome card

Breaks the Pact cycle from the Future Sight block in horrible ways. You could run this in mono blue and use Flow of Ideas for massive card draw (to get the Pacts), and also you could use it as a secondary option besides Hive Mind. A couple of Boomerangs to bounce the Eon Hub once you draw Hive Mind and you're set. Call to Mind could also be useful.

Eon Hub also prevents transformation from taking place since it removes upkeep altogether. Sorry, Huntmaster of the Fells :)

I give this a 5/5, simply because it completely changes the game!

Almost every strategy is affected. Seriously, if you look at your deck, unless it's simply a powerup strategy, You'll find something that will no longer work. I've been playing this game for a long time, and i've never seen a card with so much staying power, versatility, nor one that ruins so many strategies just by being in play.

This is my favourite card, because i can't remember how many times i've said "This will be totally killed by eon hub."

Please stop referencing this card in other card's comment sections if that card has the word "upkeep" in its text, we all know by now.

Amusing flavor note: It is suggested that it consumes the upkeeps of all players as a power source. What is the power used for, then?

...I'm no expert but wouldn't this plus various Pacts backfire rather nastily? The Pacts all say "your next upkeep" so if this was in effect, the payment is put off until someone removes this, at which point you have to pay for all the pact effects you may have used or insta-lose the game.

Mirrodin is a scary f***ing place. There are way too many artifacts with insane effects like this just lying all around the plane.

yes yes I think this would be a beautiful thing =)

As someone who loves playing Green my immediate thought is Endless Wurm.

I run a couple of these in a black multiplayer deck that is based around life drain and glacial chasms. Usually screws someone over.

Cannot... think... brain going into combo overload...

Less obvious combo cards: Elkin Bottle and Grinning Totem give you cards you can play at any time that are not in your hand (and hence immune to discarding). Sadly enough Three Wishes does not, because it only allows you to play the cards "until your next turn". As for other combos, just search Gatherer for any card mentioning upkeep. Anything with echo or cumulative upkeep is a good bet.

It also stops most alternate-win condition decks, since most of those cards use "at the beginning of your upkeep" (the exceptions being Biovisionary, Coalition Victory, Laboratory Maniac, Maze's End and, of course, The Cheese Stands Alone).

This should be "destroy on sight" material if your opponent plays it. It doesn't matter what they're going to use it for, they can't possibly be up to anything good. Steal it or get rid of it, but don't let it sit there.

I use this in a Child of Alara EDH deck that primarily looks to Maze's End for its win condition. If for whatever reason this sticks on the board (usually because I've dropped a Naked Singularity or Ritual of Subdual first), Glacial Chasm pretty much guarantees I have enough turns to Maze's End my mis-colored/colorless mana into Guildgates.

Even without Eon Hub any one of these is dangerous in an EDH game, but with Eon Hub out they become deadly.
