best card ever against mono-colored deck espacially with "lord of atlantis" in a tribal merfolk deck. opponent is not able to play any spells anymore, and can not block creatures, there is noting better card in magic xD

At first I gave this card a 'meh' as a decent mana changer and was prepared to make a cute comment about the Cumulative being a great way to get rid of the thing once it was past its usefulness. Thennnn I realized thanks to Chrono's post that it affects ALL lands >.> OW! Just ow. All those Islandwalk cards are suddenly useful and you have a pretty good chance of completely locking down your opponent. The cost isn't even that restrictive...

Heh, and to think I was just playing this in casual to enable my Pirate Ship to attack!

Hmm, you get to screw up 2 of your opponents turns at the cost of 2mana/turn. Not too bad.

And to all that: What a great picture. I love Rob Alexander's art.

Run with Venser, the Sojourner. Now, not only can you easily manage the cumulative upkeep, you can even use it against other blue decks by turning Islands into whatever you want and then flickering it for your own turn. You can do this with Vedalken Mastermind too, assuming you have a way of generating the one blue mana to bounce Illusionary Terrain for your turn.

If someone plays UW and drops Aysen Highway and then this and suddenly wins with a plainswalking swarm, they get 10000 Internets.

I used this with a Lord of Atlantis merfolk deck. It could be used to slow your opponent early or to provide that islandwalk path late game. Very good card.
