Not the best card. But it holds a soft spot in my heart from my early Magic days. I miss opening packs and not knowing much about the game when cards like these were awesome.

A rare blue first strike creature and a rare first strike wall.
This thing slays almost all dragon and most angels and demons.

How the hell is this blue?? Yeah, it was the early days of the game, but still... how did they justify that?

One of the best walls ever made. For those wondering how it can be blue, think about the role it fills... It's a stall card. Stalling the game is very blue (white, too).

My first ever game of Magic, we played simply with the 60-card 5-colour random starter decks.
Game turned to a standoff until I drew this, and - since we did not know the rules well - proceeded to smack the hell out of my opponent with an amazing flying wall. Since we really did not know the rules well, we did not know the meaning of cumulative either, so I just payed {U} every upkeep until my opponent was dead and I won whatever cards were in the ante because the rulebook said to play for ante.
Then he showed me how to smoke cigarettes.

A stall card should not cost five mana. This card sucked even when it first came out.
It'd be cool if the upkeep was non-cumulative, though.
