Deathtouch and lure effects get printed together a lot, don't they? This, Turntimber Basilisk, Gift of the Deity, and I'm sure there's more. Not complaining, though. And I loved the G/B flashback. The Golgari would be proud.

I wonder where I can get that outfit (minus the snake) for my girlfriend. She'd be alluring and would kill you if you stared to long.
Whoot for more MTG tentacle(more like snake, but oh well)! I can expect to see some 'i've seen enough hentai to know where this is going' comments later.

Commander Review: it's too narrow. Your opponent can still choose what to block with, such as with a 0/1 token. In addition it's sorcery speed. Flashback is a great mechanic for Commander, but this card is simply too weak and not worth a card slot. At instant speed you could also mess up other peoples combat by playing it on the creature of an opponent when he attacks another opponent, or to give death touch at instant speed, but like this, it's garbage. 0.5/5
@ThisisSakon Seconded, although Prey Upon would usually be good enough. also Lure is in standard, although is tough in a deck that also needs to make . Wait, no. Green. Caravan VigilRampant GrowthPrimeval Titan other cards I can't remember etc.

this card is AMAZING. their is no flaws in this card. I am ashamed that this card is rated sooo low, it makes absolutely no sense why. Who gives if they get to choose what to block it. Its basically a smaller Gift of the Deity for super cheap.

It's an interesting card with definite use, but really the best thing about it is the picture.
Pornography on a card...as in, this card is so good is might as well be porn. Hell, its good enough by being able to let a Markov's Servant kill an innocent man between her legs, but the flashback cost to do it again? To another poor, misguided soul? Owch, that's saucy murder. Its enough to make anyone's snakes rise to the occasion.
...huh? What's euphemism?
@NecroticNobody: Without the snake?...aaahh, different tastes I guess.

I know Phyrexian Obliterator has been already mencioned, I just wanted to point out that deathtouch + trample means you can assign only 1 damage to each blocker (enough to destroy them) and the rest to deffending player. This + Prey Upon would combine fantasticly with my Obliterators (prey upon becoming G: target player sacrifices permanents equal to the strongest power amongst the creatures he controls) ... if only I knew how to enter them in a BBBB-cost-based deck. We need another BG dual, come on!

The effect is nifty, but I'm really torn on this card in limited. Feels like it's going to be a double edged Tribute to Hunger most of the time. You're only ever going to get their worst creature, and you might very well lose your own. If they have doomed travellers or anything that wants to die, it's just bad. It would be cool though if you had tokens vs big beaters, or black cats. Won't be so bad if your oppenent is low and you cast it on a Festerhide Boar.

I like how with flashback it's a constant threat early game. Whatever your opponent plays will die. It may cost them some turns playing weaker things (that they're OK with losing) while you have a chance to build up stronger creatures.
It also seems like it could be a significant part of a fun deathtouch/trample/regenerate deck.

For those of you silly children who don't understand why the flashback cost is green, check out Sisters of Stone Death.
I love this card, but sorcery speed makes me a sad panda

Would rather play Tragic Slip in mono-black. 4/5 nonetheless.

First time I used this card in limited I made a huge mistake. I kept thinking it was like lure, and it was going to force all creatures to block it, instead of just one of any creature. Turn 4 my opponent managed to drop a Ghoultree, and I dropped this on a Black Cat, not realizing that his Young Wolf could chump block for it...
Needless to say, no one wants to chump block a Black Cat until they've emptied their hands. This is an excellent turn 3 play.

@majinara I am so tired of seeing your comments. Not every card is designed for Commander multiplayer. Stop marking good cards down just because they don't fit into your idea of a deck.
This card is fantastic, and efficient. But its not designed to be used as instant-speed defence, or to help or hinder your opponents. It's designed to advance your own attack, so it's a sorcery.
For once in your life, actually rate a card based on what it's aimed to do. It would save a lot of us from wanting to reach through our screens and throttle you.
Have a good day.

wizards said, "man, rancor is awesome, but i think it's STILL under-used"
after some looks of 'are you joking...?' the all said "we agree!!"
so they proceeded to match up deathtouch, trample, and just for giggles, added in lure in a combo and said "one mana for each! one mana all around!!"
give it to gravecrawler and watch armies crumble turn after turn. love it.

Rancor makes this quite dangerous, especially on a hyper-efficient early game creature such as Treacherous Pit-Dweller

Too many people are neglecting to realize just how valuable the easy flashback is to activate. Sure, you don't get to control the block, but you get to do this twice.
with RtR coming out, I think this might find a nice home on a Lotleth Troll that's eaten a few Slitherheads.

Not a bad spell. Not mind-blowing, but it certainly does it's job. Yes, you have no control over which creature your opponent chooses to block with, but regardless, you ARE forcing their play. The player that controls the decision making (even just "Should I block?") has the better odds of winning.

And @Cazario, I whole-heartedly agree with you. @Majinara, you are possibly the most negative and irritating card reviewer I have ever read. Have you actually tried playing anything except Commander yet? And what does it take to get a useful (and POSITIVE!) review out of you? Please, if you have nothing constructive or sensible to say, just crawl back into your corner and stroke the three cards in Magic's existence that you DON'T consider a waste of cardboard and leave the rest of us in peace.
EDIT: Of course, this does become a combat trick with Alchemist's Refuge or Hypersonic Dragon, and works great with Tims. Special mention goes to Izzet Staticaster (who doesn't want to wipe out multiple Dragon tokens with just one tap?) and any creature equipped with Thornbite Staff (serious machinegun on legs).

Makes all of your utility creatures a threat. That alone makes this card good in my eyes. It's essentially card advantage because you can use it twice as well. Also incredible art. Yup. Not much more to be said.
Excellent removal in self-mill decks, where any non-creature without flashback is hard to hang onto. Sticking one of these onto a Gravecrawler or Rot Farm Skeleton really makes for a solid play. Totally repeatable, too.
One of my favourite flashback cards in Standard right now.

Cast this on Saprazzan Heir and you should end up with formidable card advantage. Bonus points if you give her first strike and can repeat the whole thing via Flashback. (Given that your opponent doesn't respond with spot removal on her and ends up with the card advantage instead.)

This should solve that problem.
