Between Sigil Captain, Oran-Rief, the Vastwood, Ajani Goldmane - hell, even Soul's Might - kicking it becomes an afterthought.

And that's just in Standard. In Extended, we have the previously mentioned Immaculate Magistrate and a bunch of other tools I don't remember! *cricket chirp*

Just a great one-drop. Between it, Dragonmaster Outcast, and a bunch of already useful one-drops in Standard, Ranger of Eos will likely skyrocket in value now that he has all these toys to play with.

Great card for any Elf deck. Perhaps Eldrazi Green might add some white flavor to their decks.

i don't think WoTC was thinking when they printed this card, they really need to stop printing more good elves, the tribe is plenty more then strong enough, and are almost always the beast of burdon for all green decks.

Quest for the Gemblades

If only Elvish Promenade and other good Elf token gens were still around in standard. This guy shines in extended where all those lorwyn elves are still legal

This is just a scary card for any elf deck. I've used it in conjunction with Bramblewood Paragon and Immaculate Magistrate to make some wicked beefy elves. Definitely a must for most Elf decks.

I just pulled this guy out of a pack 2 hours ago, I cant wait to play with him. I just changed my green deck to an elf deck he's gonna work wonders!

I made the mistake of trading this card to my friend. He found another one of these from someone else. As soon as this dude turns up his elf army usually gets about +5/+5. And that's if he's mana starved(I blame Keeper of Progenitus). I have a suspicion that some of WotC staff are actually Elves.

Report Abuse. lol ^_^

I think Elves are quickly becoming my favorite type of deck to play.....I already have a great elf deck accelerated with the Oracle of Mul Dayas and stuff, now with Omnath, Locus of Mana, Strength of the Tajuru, and this, I think everyone's elf decks just got 3x nastier.

I would rather play a Beastmaster Ascension, hoping that I do have 7 elves on my attack right thereafter.
I don't like the 'one powerful buff creature' stupidness (same with fungus creatures). And when I wrote a comment about 1 year ago, that a glorious anthem // Gaea's anthem is still too weak, why did I got a negative feedback???

The versatility of the card makes it a game winner in an elf deck. Aside from kicking it normally (and the plentiful mana sources elves haveto kick it) the number of ways to put counters on it makes for some fun plays. Bramblewood Paragon, Oran-Rief, the Vastwood, Quest for the Gemblades or even reinforce from Hunting Triad. If you can add counters at instant speed (reinforce) then this becomes a nice way to pump all your creatures for that final blow, or survive burn spells like Pyroclasm or even just Lightning Bolt.

Joraga Warcaller wins games in elf decks when he resolves. Experiment with him and you will see how valuable and versatile this card can be.

If this card leaves the battlefield, would it remove al +1/+1 from other elves ?

Awesome card. I love the art too. Use a bunch of elven ramp cards to build up a bunch of mana and then cast this to turn them all into formidable threats. And if some removal happy opponent keeps killing them of, no worry you can cast this guy for any range of costs.

Of coarse Oran-Reaf, the Vastwood works well with this card in a green elf deck too.

Sit around with Elvish Archdruid and Joraga Treespeaker and a billion other elves (Landowar Elves, Nissia's Chosen, Mul Daya Channelers).
Player 1 : I'll tap Archdruid for 6 mana, Landowar for 1, and my Treespeaker is fully leved up, so ill tap all of my elves for two green....and one for the casting cost...
Player 2 : Oh crap.

One of the girls in my casual group runs an elf deck that uses this card to turn 1/1 elf tokens into 4/4's or 5/5's, the crush you with sheer numbers. When it can allow an Essence Warden to swing for 6, something has gone horrible...right, or wrong, depending on which side of the board its on.

Slap a few primal cocoons on this bad boy and watch your llanowar elves become beasts. questionable flavor in that combo, but that doesn't stop me.

this makes me angry
elves are amongst the most generic deck archetypes now because all you do is playset of this, archdruid, some mana elves, visionary, maybe some garruks or a nissa , and 1 or 2 eldrazi monuments.
the rest is just filler for the mana curve

Works really well in my EDH Elf tribal deck with Rhys the Redeemed. Makes my 1/1s, 6/6. By far my favorite elf lord.

alright, in addition to all the amazing combos I've read (almost all of which I have with this card) I would like to point out Forgotten Ancient...at the beginning of my upkeep, now all my elves get +1/+1 for every spell played. Its a quick death from there.

My friend has an elf deck, I traded this card with him, the biggest mistake I ever made in magic. Should have burned this card as soon as I pulled it out of that booster. When he plays his elf deck, I have 2 choices: Play red burn or lose. Why does elf synergy have to be so much better than all other creatures? Think about it, have you ever seen anything like this in another creature class? Give your whole army +1/+1 for each 2 mana after 1? Not broken enough? Just throw in an immaculate magistrate and there you have it. Damn pointy ears ruining magic.
If this was a vampire that worked exactly the same way in black, everyone would call it broken, but we've gotten so used to elves being broken, that we've just stopped saying it.
I simply cannot believe they have playtested this in an elf deck and not seen anything wrong with it, must be a mistake.

Needs a ruling: Get two of these out and they become infinite as they give each other counters back and forth.

In a casual game, I got this guy up to 14 +1/+1 counters with a Elvish Archdruid and a fully leveled Joraga Treespeaker. Next turn, I drew a Strength of the Tajuru and targeted just the Warcaller with 28 +1/+1 counters. I already had a fully leveled Beastmaster's Ascension, so even just my Llanowar Elf was

a 1/1
with +42/+42 from the Warcaller
+5/+5 from the Ascension
+1/+1 from the Archdruid
and I used Ezuri to Overrun my elves once, giving them +3/+3 and trample.

so it rounded out to a 52/52 with trample. I swung with just him. My friend didn't let me play that deck for several weeks.

absolutely beast card, but it seems to be a little misunderstood.
it doesn't have any sort of synergy with another one of itself. here's why: this guy adds +1/+1 to other elves, not +1/+1 counters
also, he only pumps up other elves dependent on the number of +1/+1 counters on him so things like blanchwood armor or giant growth won't pump all your elves up.

he's one of those "a little goes a long way" guys, since 7 mana will give all of your elves +3/+3, even if they come into play after him

Why dost any one just put 2 Joraga Warcaller on the field and pop a +1/+1 on one of them they would grow insane can u say turn 3 win ,one would have (infinity)=1 power/tuftness ,the other would have infinity power/tuftness

adrian.malacoda

@silver1114

Because just getting +1/+1 isn't the same as having a +1/+1 counter. You have one warcaller with a +1/+1 counter and one with no counters, so the one without counters gets +1/+1 because of the counter on the first guy. That +1/+1 isn't a +1/+1 counter, so it doesn't grant extra power and toughness to the other warcaller.

Now, if you had two warcallers out and kicked both once, such that each one has one +1/+1 counter, then they are each 3/3: 1/1 base p/t, plus +1/+1 from the counter, then an additional +1/+1 from the other warcaller's counter. If they each had two +1/+1 counters then it's 1/1 + 2/2 + 2/2 = 5/5.

I like to run this in my NO Elves deck. A little bit of ramp, a boatload of elves on the table and some mana shenanigans. Rather than search for Progenitus with N.O., I just grab him and multi kick him to death and swarm my opponents with elves who are all 10/10 or larger. Always fun for a laugh against noobs who just don't understand the power of this card!

I play this little bastard with 2 coat of arms, yeah I know it's to much, but I like when my Llanowar elf attack is 70 or 80, I mean you should see the face of the guy that try to block :P

Even without that "All elves get this dude's counters" ability, this guy is pretty badass. 1/1 for 1, 2/2 for 3. 3/3 for 5, etc. aren't GREAT, per se, but the flexibility is interesting.

WITH the ability, however, he's a scalable lord. Lords should not scale like this. That's just such overkill, I can't even begin to comprehend it.

Any elf deck goes from "Oh that's pretty gay" to "WTF How in the !?!?! Freakin!!!?"
I hate on elf decks pretty hard because I know when this comes down it's game. It's not even that, it's super-game. The game is over before he resolves most of the time.

Building my very first deck - i like green magic so I decided to go for an elf deck.
Looked through several public elf decks on the web and picked up the cards Id like to play from those sources.

After many many grooming sessions I ended up building the deck around this card...combining it with Immaculate Magistrate, Lys Alana Huntmaster, Imperious Perfect, Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Elvish Promenade...and others.

Though I cant say for sure that it works as I expect to...but I just have a feeling I hit a jackpot when I see this guy in my hand.

Here's a good reason to use The Mimeoplasm as your general in an elf tribal Commander deck. Exile him and an Allosaurus Rider to get a huge Overrun effect - from your command zone, nonetheless.

Let's say hypothetically...
Turn 1: Joraga Warcaller
Turn 2: Blessings of Nature for its miracle cost
All elves are 5/5 to 6/6 by turn 2

OUCH!!!
