A great card. Can always count on him to find a Burrenton Forge-Tender or Figure of Destiny, unless you've already burned through 4.

There are so many things that you can grab with this beyond the obvious choices, from Feral Hydra in the late game, to Children of Korlis for life or Mother of Runes for protection.

A very handy card that works in a lot of decks. He can pull Elite Vanguards early on, or, in green/white decks, pull out to more lanowar elves!

Protean Hydra-fetching mid-late game ftw lol

Here Elite Vanguard...

A pretty good card. Doesn't offer a lot in terms of utility beyond finding two cards when he comes out, but he's got a nice body himself which works well in a WW deck, and getting two extra Elite Vanguards out can be very powerful at that stage (when you're looking at an Honor of the Pure and an Armorsmith or Swordsmith being out). 4/5

Scute Mob's best pal. It's a tutor that also gives you card advantage and doesn't lose tempo. What's not to like about it?

Unbelievably good.
Not only does he keep up your tempo, and large enough to beat face, but he draws you TWO cards.

Let's see, do I want Goblin Bushwhacker, Noble Hierarch, Steppe Lynx, or Wild Nacatl? God this card's so sexy. If you need creatures, you can fetch up to 2 3/3's (i.e. Wild Nacatl) or Bushwhacker if you want to overrun your opponent. Of course, if you're mana screwed, you can get yourself a Birds of Paradise or Noble Hierarch, which just makes this card so flexible and awesome.

They might as well have named him HR Manager of Eos lol. Awesome card; not broken and the mana cost is just right. 4.5/5

Awesome card - if you have another land in hand when you play him, you can grab 2 scute mobs and unleash the fury.

If it's late game and you're in a tight spot, you can always grab a Death's Shadow or two, heh.

This is such a cool card, 3W for a 3/2 body and you get to tutor 2 creatures is huge. I like the confident relaxed way of the ranger depicted, he's like "I'm here and I brought you some help, relax we'll work this out".

Ranger of Eos should have been reprinted in M11. His reign of awesomeness while he was Standard-legal added some much-needed dimension to weenie decks by slightly increasing their mana curve and CA-potential, but he was never broken or over-centralizing. It's a card that its designer, Invitational winner Antoine Ruel, can truly be proud of, and I hope to see it in M12.

A couple years ago, I had a friend who ran a W/B/R deck, using this to tutor Death's Shadow. Every game he played it that I can remember, he won. 5/5

I always think "One-drops only? What's the worst he can do?" when he shows up. Then I see him him dredge up a Figure of Destiny and Student of Warfare.
