I hate this card, it has 4 for its converted mana cost but it only has a measly 1 for power. Also the effect is pretty bad. This card shouldn't be deserved a rare!

I actually like this card. yes, the cost is a little high, but its effect is pretty nice. i used this last night in a draft and i had a guy get like 10 points of mana burn from it. Not too mention that with this card, you can get progenitus out faster.

situational card, good for mana acceleration but it is easy to mana burn yourself with it, make sure you have a way to expend extra mana, like a Beacon Behemoth, Rakeclaw Gargantuan, Mosstodon

Progenitus is a much more likely with his keeper out, also, you get a better return with Feral Hydra, Apocalypse Hydra, Banefire, and Martial Coup

Interesting card- the most obvious drawback is that it could aid your opponent if the play red/white/green.

I actually like the Keeper. He has a good ability in decks he was tailored for, and it kind of makes little sense to bash one card for not being a jack-of-all-trades. As for his attack being 1, I don't know many players that actually attack with their mana producers, so that really doesn't matter much at all. His cost being 4 isn't too much a drawback, and if you have other acceleration to get him out earlier, all the better; Considering the kind of acceleration to your mana that he does offer, and the kinds of decks you'll be likely to play him in, he's an excellent card, as he will allow you to drop your 5 cost plus creatures way faster. After all, a Godsire anytime before turn 8 is gonna put the crunch on the opponent, and force them to deal with the beast and it's brethren.

This card just got WAY better for Naya colors with the removal of mana burn. Acceleration doesn't get much better than doubling the amount of available mana (from relevant lands) on hand. He even has enough toughness to survive sweeping burn.

Turn 4 Godsire?
makes Titanic Ultimatum a lot easier to get out,
Slightly suicidal, but definitely worth it in mana accel or naya.

Anything that lets me play Titannic Ultimatum with only four lands has my support. I am slightly biased however, since most of my opponents don't play more then one of Nayas colours at a time, so I don't have to worry about his biggest drawback.

Not amazing, but works well in a Warp World deck.

I dropped it, nex turn, New Frontiers for 16 lands, then my opponent running BR burned it to death before I could use it, a good card, great acceleration, just make sure you've got you're opponent pegged before you drop it and go over the edge.

personally, i think this card is fantastic. its only downfall is giving its effect to oponents, but i run a power of 5+ ( R, W, G) deck with elvish piper, iona, apocalypse hydra, progenitus, jungle weaver, beacon behemoth, spear breaker /spellbreaker behemoth, knotvine mistics, e.t.c

this morning by the third turn i had knotvine mystic. by fith or sixth, still with only three mana, i had jungle weaver, beacon behemoth and two bull cerodons, all in one go. this was all thanks to getting two knotvine mistics, three elvish pipers and keeper of progenitus in the few turns before hand.

this card is great in a Chorus of the Conclave deck. Not quite as good as mirari's wake *cough* understatement *cough* but as I got 4 of those this is a welcome addition. ads very succsessful mana ramp, and late game I can turn it into an Autochthon Wurm or bigger

Fun stuff. Tasty fatties sure are tasty. And don't think of the fact that some of your opponents might get mana as a "drawback", think of it as "making friends" :P

sasaya's essence works alot better than this...but seriously who's gonna get 7 lands in their hand?

The usefulness of this card seems to be heavily dependent on the metagame near you. For example, lots of people in my play group use these three colors, so me running this in my green deck is practically suicide. But if you're in a group where people tend to favor the Islands and Swamps, no big deal. I think it's underrated.

I have two words to say about this card... 1. SIDE! 2. BOARD! This card would screw over a mono blue or black deck, if you can avoid a tendrils of corruption any other removal cards.

There are so many better cards to fit into a naya deck, do not use this one.

Works quite well with the Eldrazi cards, and given that the (arguable) most common decks in standard at the moment are UW control variants you don't accelerate them too badly.

If you build a Naya deck you can protect them with Dauntless Escorts and Eldrazi Monuments, add in some card draw with Wall of Omens, Soul's Majesty (I prefer it over Momentous Fall in my deck as the only creatures that provide a decent amount of cards (3+) are ones that I don't want to sacrifice) and Explore, then wait to get 5-8 basic lands out (I prefer running only basics and fetches in this type of deck to fully utilise the Keepers) and get out one of the legendary Eldrazi cards.

It's not really too competitive, but it's definitely not bad in a casual scenario, and there's nothing quite as fun as hard casting Emrakul on turn 6-8.

So it's a biased Mana Flare on legs that will generally end up getting Remove Soul'd or Doom Bladed.

Also, fun stuff with the Alpha dual-lands and the Ravnica shocklands because they each have 2 basic land types.

Maybe now with mana burn gone, this guy will get a better rep. I like him, he's great in Commander and probably has his uses in the right kind of Naya deck in Legacy (looking at you, Fires of Yavimaya)

Two sided so you have to watch out for your opponent doing more than you.

A friend of mine has one of these.

The problem is, he plays it in a Mono-Green EDH deck, which is kind of stupid.

I tell him, "There's this card called Vernal Bloom. It's an enchantment, so it's harder to kill, and it just helps green, aka your colour."

He said, "Well, I think this is better. Strictly, in fact. You can't block with an enchantment, eh?". I kind of wished to slap him, but... 'SIGH' WHATEVER.

So he took that deck apart and made a Green/Black edh deck with a similar effect.

Guess who's in it?

Absolutely awesome in EDH. Despite the fact that this card seems to suggest play in a Naya deck, I think it is actually at its best in a mono-green deck, where you can get away with playing very few nonbasics, and making the best use of the ability. Its biggest bane, however, is other mono players (only in Naya colors of course,) who can also make good use of the ability. In EDH, mono decks are actually sort of rare, and decks with two or more colors are filled to the brim with nonbasics. It really shines in its ability to drop huge creatures like eldrazi well before people are prepared to deal with them, or to play giant X costs on spells like Gelatinous Genesis and Genesis Wave. The Keeper is an absolute MVP in my Azusa, Lost but Seeking deck, where it is the quickest and most convenient mana doubling target in the deck. It is easily tutorable with Green Sun's Zenith, Worldly Tutor, and the like.

4.5/5 from me. One of my absolute favorites.
