Out of all the art over the years for Giant Growth, I think this is my favorite :)

So what do the laws consider necessary tossing of citizens?

This is the best Giant Growth reprint ever, solely for the flavor text.

There have been many artistic iterations of Giant Growth, some very good, some mediocre, and others just downright blase. This new artwork is in the former camp, right up there with Sandra Everingham's, and hopefully it will become Giant Growth's new face. As for the card itself, there hasn't been a Limited format where this wouldn't be welcomed by a Green mage. I cannot say the same for Giant Spider, however.

Wow. They printed THIS in a Rancor heavy environment??! Geez, Wizards!! But great reprint, and it looks like I'm playing Golgari at the prerelease :)
YES. YES. A HUNDRED TIMES YES. Giant Growth, AND with awesome new art and flavor text! HECK YEAH!

Weird choice to reprint it here, considering the Simic guild is coming next set and I feel it would make more sense there. Still, I credit this card to winning me the Prerelease, so I can't really complain. Giant Growth, you are always welcome. Welcome back, old friend.

damnit, wizards... just update everything on gatherer already. i gotta wait like, 4 more days before I can go through my cards and re-organize them into "standard" and "not standard." Newest giant growth entered into gatherer... still not labled as "standard." same thing with Syncopate

Ha, and to think I complained that Giant Growth should have returned in M13. Apparently even 3 more months of this existing with infect was too much of a deterrent for a reprint. And now that infect is out of standard completely, this makes a triumphant return.

Besides Might of oaks, this might be one of the greatest Green flavor texts ever. XD

Oh sure, this keeps getting reprinted. What about the rest of the cycle? Get the gang back together! Next time we reprint Giant Growth, I wanna see Dark Ritual, Lightning Bolt, Ancestral Recall, and Healing Salve too. Ok, I don't care so much about Healing Salve, but you get my meaning...

@syrazeml When a citizen is committing a crime perhaps?
Also, its back!
Edit: @Redattrocitus So you want to completely break standard/modern and force every single player to play blue, and then have another mind sculptor incident except this time it will literally be 100% running x4 recall, and then force a banning when everyone shelled out 1000 dollars for a playset? ((5 grand if they got an alpha playset))
That would be the death of magic, or at least the start of the inevitable end. I mean the card is restricted in vintage...... meaning only x1 of. How can you print something into standard like that, are you going to restrict it from day 1?!??!?
I know you were kind of joking, but this is not a joking matter here!!! Are you going to reprint recall in the same set as Divination???

I love how this is such a green counterpart to Lightning Bolt. In many situations it can be better. And yet it is well balanced and complementary to a deck rather than the centerpiece. Doom blade, counterspell, and Oblivion Ring strike me as similar.
