that's the first time a card sharing its name with an expansion set is part of the according one, isn't it?
this tutor is quite expensive, but hey - since it provides five cards, Johnny will certainly be able to get some of his favourite combos! ;D

But it is very useful don't you think?

For 8 mana, EIGHT!!! I pull my winning hand...
first off, If your a blue lets this card happen then congrats, you just got a very cool hand. then if black doesn't gut it you might get to use it, if red doesn't kill you then you might survive to see the result and green will just shrug and continue beating your face in. White.. eh, white sits in a corner and cries, who cares.
A Good 5 color MIGHT be able to get some use out of it, but it's just too expensive IMO... though... it can hand you the game if used right so I won't say I wouldn't try to play this thing...

I agree, it is hard to say if this card is worth it, but I saw one friend of mine play this and she later in turn got out Progenitus and Inkwell Leviathan....she had an insane mana base, so it was fairly easy for her to pull that stuff off....it was kinda scary. Lucky for me, I used Malfegor to get rid of Progenitus....
@ CrazyLou: I'll take Conflux off your hands if you really wish you hadn't got it.....

It's hard to justify the cost of this card, but mainly because my 5 color revolves around Obelisk of Alara, and my deck's pretty much full at this point. Still, 8 mana isn't that hard to come by in my deck. It's definitely debatable, because I could pull 2 walls of denial and 3 Fusion Elementals with this thing. Which would be awesome. May have to make a 5 color Remix deck...

@ScissorsLizard A sliver deck can have 8 mana of all 5 colors turn 3, ready to go turn 4. At that point its probably a winged sliver, a gemhide, maybe one other one and a bunch of land. A couple 1/1s with flying isn't going to win you the game.

I have a beautiful 5 color deck for this. Dream Halls lets me chuck any one card to get 5. I pick generally: Coalition Victory, Transguild Courier, Prismatic Omen, Progenitus, Conflux again. With dream halls already in play, throw down the Omen, The courier, and then coalition victory by chucking the others. Deck itself is U/G mana ramp. So your looking turn 3-5 Auto win with 5 beautiful colors.
Or keep fetching Cofluxes +4 more and play nasty multicolored beasties through Dream Halls. Ultra pain.

I currently have this card in a five colour Ally deck, and once this card is played you oppenent only has one more turn before all those Allies come raining down. Depending on the situation I generally get Bala Ged Thief,Jwari Shapeshifter, Ondu Cleric, Murasa Pyromancer, Oran-Rief Survivalist. Hand control, Creature destruction, Life gain, and whatever else with the shapeshifter and you'll be set for the win.

It's worthy of mythic status nonetheless for tutoring the 5x hondens in EDH or getting your combo, and apparently you've never heard of Dream Halls, or the format known as Legacy.
If this put into play/cast without paying, it would have been broken. Dream Halls already makes this over the top.

Umm... no. Just no. 5 color cost cards are generally ridiculously powerful (Coalition Victory, Scion of the Ur-Dragon, etc.) and this is just pathetic, especially with the {3} tagged on. Give it something else, something GOOD, or let us put one right on to the battlefield, but NOT LIKE THIS.

Here's the plan: Conflux. Get: Dream Halls, All Sun's Dawn, a black-green Card, a blue-white Card, and a red card. Next turn: Cast Dream Halls, alternate cost cast all Sun's Dawn, get back Conflux, alternate cost cast Conflux with the red card. With Conflux: get Hive Mind, Summoner's Pact, Intervention Pact, Pact of the Titan, Slaughter Pact. Cast Hive Mind with the white-blue card. Then, win when your opponent can't pay for all those pacts. Lesson learned? Conflux is a one card combo.

EDIT: Yeah. Still crap. It should have costed {WUBRG} or {1WUBRG}. This is insane and even in EDH is, as metalvolence stated, more pointless than a broken Pithing Needle. I agree that this card sucks, the rare times I get to cast it in my mono green deck, I only can tutor for one card!
/heavy sarcasm
If you don't get 5 targets outta this deal (perhaps 4) then its not really worth it, just because its so expensive, even with those 3/2/1 cards, you can't do much with them.
However, in a 5 colored deck (which I'm sure you have played it in) then it tutors 'any' 5 cards for 8 mana? That is extremely cost efficient.
If there was no color restriction, it would easily be an extremely good card, if you are saying this card really sucks, I would think your deck doesn't handle this card very well. Either you want it looking for 5 cards of a combo in your deck, or you can look for some WUBRG creatures. If its a dedicated 5 color deck, with mostly WUBRG and Domain effects, you can do a lot of damage with what you want, in a good WUBRG deck, that is designed to use this, its easy Mythic Rare
I agree with a little too expensive though, 7 wouldn't be crazy OP

It costs less then the beefier eldrazi, for something arguably much more intimidating. Major card advantage, although I have to say this card is more for lulz in casual than it is for competitive play. It's just too expensive for something that requires you to spend a ton more mana to play all those awesome cards you got.

here is a good time not to use conflux, when you have 3 health left, you have 8 mana (the kind needed for conflux), and the only card left in your hand is conflux. Your opponent has 20 health, 1 or more mana, and the only card in their hand is lightning bolt.
Thought I should give this a try seeing as it was the only mythic I've managed to pull yet, so I threw it in my only 5-color deck, Slivers.
Turn 5: Drop Conflux, go get Sliver Queen, Sliver Overlord, Kodama's Reach and two Coalition Victory, then cast Reach to get the two basic lands I needs. Turn 6: Drop Queen, Drop Victory, win.
Might have to get another one of these...

A perfect card for any 5-coloured Sliver EDH deck (I mean, why wouldn't you play a Sliver as your general anyway?).
Pick out 5 different slivers and, as long as they can get haste, you can win in one go. Choosing Bonescythe Sliver, Shifting Sliver, Sliver Legion, Heart Sliver, and Megantic Sliver and playing them all at the same time gets the 5 slivers and nets you exactly 100 damage which can hardly be blocked. Coincidence? I think not.
Mind you, it'll cost you ...
(All of them get +3/+3 (megantic) and +4/+4 (legion), adding +7/+7 times 5 for the slivers, their base power equals 15. 7x5=35, 35+15=50, and double strike makes that 100)
